- Do you use nav bar or gestures? I really like the fact you can use your whole screen while using gestures but I think it's also cool you can use so many shortcuts while using the nav bar + when you don't use the nav bar I find the keyboard to be too low to type comfortably for me...

How is Xiaomi affiliated with Haylou/Liesheng? Posted: 24 Nov 2019 08:59 PM PST So, I got my Haylou GT1 at the flea market, it's pretty nice, I like it. However, how is Haylou affiliated with Xiaomi in any way? I don't see it on the BoX, their website is a mess on desktop and won't load, and it's all in Chinese, the website on mobile points to Liesheng, the manufacturer of the device, infact, there is nowhere on the box that Xiaomi made this, only a company named Liesheng, and the company actually seemed more connected to QCY/Hele than Xiaomi, considering similar design from earbud to earbud, instructions manual, the fact that both have more (PB) lead on their Main Body and Charging cable than the limits of GB/T 26572, and etc, etc, etc. So how does Xiaomi relate to Haylou? I don't understand? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 24 Nov 2019 01:25 PM PST Is there a way I can move the clock from the left to the right side of the status bar with the battery indicator and get rid of the "silent mode" icon which is also in the left side? [link] [comments] |
Do all the Roborock S5 accessories work on the Mi Robot Vacuum 1st gen? Posted: 24 Nov 2019 09:22 PM PST As per above I thought I read somewhere that the washable filters in the gen 2 were compatible with the gen 1. Does the same apply for the sweepers and the rollers? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 24 Nov 2019 08:35 PM PST I have done my fair share of reseach, but still cannot decide on which phone to get. The general consesus is that the mi 9t and the mi 9t pro are pretty much the same except for: 4k 60fps video recording Better gps accuracy Better processor Faster charger Dual band wifi (I have a wifi mesh at home so this would actually help) Faster Storage (UFS 2.0 vs UFS 2.1 but the difference is small) Worse battery life (Aka better battery life on the mi 9t) Right now on banggood, the mi 9t pro is only $330, whereas I can find the mi 9t on amazon for $275. I am mainly conflicted because I know that the Snapdragon 730 is fine at the moment, but I don't know about in 2 or 3 years. I also don't know about software updates, because it seems that the mi 9t pro is already getting android 10, but the mi 9t is getting android 10 in January or February. I play games sometimes, mainly auto chess and clash royale. Is the Mi 9t pro worth the extra $55 + $20 cost for quick charger? [link] [comments] |

9T pro hardware failure question Posted: 24 Nov 2019 07:38 AM PST Hi I purchased a Mi 9t pro like 2 months ago, one day it suddenly stopped receiving all kind of communications, sims were not detected, trying to turn on Wifi or Bluetooth crashed the settings app. Another thing I noticed is that trying to get the IMEI dialing *#06# gives me nothing, I was trying to get the IMEI to fill an online form the day it stopped working. After finding my receipt, I took the phone to the local dealer but now they're refusing to fix it because they say I tampered with the IMEI I assume it's because of the response but seems to me the chip actually died. I usually root and unlock my phones, change roms, but this one died even before I got time to do that, it was proper stock both hardware and software. Have anyone encountered this issue ? What can I do to get service ? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 24 Nov 2019 11:19 AM PST My mi 9T phone crashes every few days. Besides the crashes, the battery drains very fast. I,m not sure if these problems are related. Looking at the battery report, it is not clear what causes the battery drain. When the phone is rebooted and charged, the battery can hold for 2 days. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 24 Nov 2019 06:16 PM PST There is a huge difference between the price of these two. I know the mi9t pro is a flagship killer but I want to save some cash in the long run. Planning to keep a phone 2 or more years. Is mi9t pro or the redmi note 7 better in that regard? Right now, the mi9t pro is 350 euro while the redmi note 7 is 150. Any advice? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 24 Nov 2019 09:13 PM PST Hey there guys I was wondering when does the miui 11 release for mi 9t pro for Canadian residents without downloading from websites. [link] [comments] |

Anyone got Strava/Amazfit to work on MIUI 11? Posted: 24 Nov 2019 03:31 PM PST Using a Redmi Note 8 Pro alongside a Mi Band 4, when I try to record my bike rides using either Amazfit or Strava, it just zig-zags around my route. Tried giving the apps all permissions and zero restrictions with battery saver. How do I fix this? So far this is the only turn-off I had with MIUI 11. [link] [comments] |
Should I get the Mi A3 or the Redmi Note 8? Posted: 24 Nov 2019 07:01 PM PST I've been looking for new phones, and I got to the conclusion that the Mi A3 and the Redmi Note 8 are the better options in my budget (R$ 1200). But I can't decide which one should I get. What's your opinion on this? Thanks in advance! :) [link] [comments] |
Posted: 24 Nov 2019 06:59 PM PST I have a question for you dear people, what is the Xiaomi phone that has the best camera? Best resolution and things like that. Thanks in advance for your help. [link] [comments] |
Has Redmi Note 8 not gotten the MIUI 11 update yet? Posted: 24 Nov 2019 06:46 PM PST I keep checking for an update, but it keeps saying I'm up to date. When I download the Downmi app to try to force the update, MIUI 10 is the latest ROM that pops up. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 24 Nov 2019 02:52 PM PST I keep getting this warning every time I unlock the phone Don't cover the earphone area This warning pops up even if I'm not holding something close to the earphone area. Is there a fix to this problem? [link] [comments] |
Use Mi 9T Pro as network repeater? Posted: 24 Nov 2019 06:36 PM PST So when I got this phone, I saw it was advertised as working as a wifi range extender, but couldn't find a setting for it. In the developer options, the is a toggle for this, bit it doesn't do anything. Google is no help either. Does anyone know how to make it work? [link] [comments] |
For those that want the swipe up to open google search. Posted: 24 Nov 2019 08:16 AM PST Go to settings>Apps>Manage apps>Search for browser>After that uninstall the updates on the xiaomi browser and don't open it again(You can also clear cache). Edit: After doing all this ^ set chrome as your default browser. [link] [comments] |
Help with choosing a pair of wireless earbuds Posted: 24 Nov 2019 05:49 PM PST First, I know this might be a little off topic (Not directly related to Xiaomi). So if these kind of posts are not allowed, I'll delete it without a problem. A couple days ago I bought the Haylou GT1 earbuds (same as Redmi Airdots), the earbuds are beautiful I won't lie, very well designed, but the audio is not so great. I'm the kind of guy who likes the presence of bass when I listen to music, but these earbuds seems to lack a lot of power in every aspect, very disappointing experience. My question is, do you know if there's any pair of wireless earbuds with good bass for under $40 dollars? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 24 Nov 2019 08:53 AM PST With Black Friday coming up, and my current phone on the verge of dying, I've decided to update my phone, and Xiaomi phones have been so far the ones that have convinced me more. Problem is, I don't really know much about phones and I don't know which Xiaomi would be the best for me. The ones I've been paying closer attention to are:
Besides the different size of each one, I don't know what sets them apart from each other, so I come to you for a little advice. What I'm looking for in a phone is:
I've chosen these phones because they are around my price range, about 250€ that could be as much as 300€. So, if you could enlighten me a little bit and recommend me one of those phones, or another that I haven't mentioned, I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments] |
