Posted: 28 Nov 2019 07:06 AM PST First off, I really don't know anything about PCs. The one I have now is the first one that I built myself, so I hope you guys can help me out. This is what I have: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1400 RAM: 24,0GB Dual-Channel Unknown @ 1064MHz (this is for music production) Motherboard: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. PRIME A320M-K (AM4) Graphics card: 8192MB ATI Radeon RX 580 Series (MSI) What is your intended use for this build? The more details the better. Gaming. If gaming, what kind of performance are you looking for? (Screen resolution, framerate, game settings) Screen resolution is 1920x1080 and my goal is to play new releases on high at 60fps. The most common problem that I have is that games seem to stutter randomly. I'll have 60fps in Sekiro for a bit, then I turn the camera and it dips to 40 for a second. In a later area where there's a lot of fire it becomes a constant 20-35 fps. I recently got myself Fallen Order. Again, the performance seems pretty random. I'll have 60fps for a couple of seconds, then it starts stuttering like crazy when I look somewhere new. This happen every couple of seconds, so it's basically unplayable. Even if I limit it to 30fps and set everything to medium this particular problem doesn't get better at all. Path of Exile basically runs like shit during the endgame when there's a lot of effects. I play the game on something ridiculous like 800x600, but even then I can't get a steady 60fps. What is your budget (ballpark is okay)? 500-600€ In what country are you purchasing your parts? Germany I'd really appreciate any help! EDIT: What really annoys me is that this PC seems to barely even be any better than the one I had before. And that one I got for like 550 pre built in 2013 or something. Path of Exile in particular seems to perform pretty much the same [link] [comments]

Is 2 fans enough for a daily use pc? Posted: 28 Nov 2019 11:48 AM PST I want to know if 2 fans is enough for a PC that will not be gaming a lot, only low graphic games. [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Nov 2019 11:11 AM PST So quite frankly, you know those threads where "My computer keeps on freezing I don't know what to do my motherboard is something along the likes of an ASROCK pro 4" and all that jazz? I was in the same situation for a long time. I checked this subreddit and I saw no solutions, so I was feeling quite hopeless, and I know a ton of people like me are in the same boat. Well, I saw a comment on a very obscure reddit thread. This fucking genius says "well hurr durr I cleaned out the dust from my pc with compressed air and the problem was solved". So I go and try it out. It's like a light switch. On and off. The instant that I cleaned out some dust out of my pc (and by the way, I didn't have much dust in my pc) all the freezing, all the screens going blank that could only be resolved by a hardreset were gone. Everything is working perfectly now. So the solution to the problem is quite simple: clean the inside of your pc with compressed air. Hast la vista! How do I upgrade a prebuilt for performance and coolness so I can gift it to a teenager? Posted: 28 Nov 2019 10:00 AM PST I bought the HP Pavilion Power 580 023W Gaming Tower about February last year. I want to add a cooler looking case and replace the power supply. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've never built a PC from scratch before. Edit: Topic is pretty much done and I'll just gift as is and buy him a budget build when this truly fails. An SSD is already installed. [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Nov 2019 06:41 AM PST The p400a comes with 3 rgb fans that are connected to the digital controller in-built in the case. Question is... what header do they come in and how do i connect it to my b450 tomahawk max motherboard or psu? I heard that it requires 5v argb header which my motherboard does not have. Appreciate some help and if it is compatible with my mobo. [link] [comments]
Need to upgrade CPU and mobo. Would this be a good selection or is there an optimal one? Posted: 28 Nov 2019 04:16 PM PST Hey, I'm in need of upgrading my mobo since it died on me recently so I'm going to upgrade the cpu as well.
This was what i was thinking. Thoughts on the selection and possible changes are apprecited! Specs: gtx1050ti 1x8gb ddr4 ram CX650M PSU Case is Micro-Atx only but if worth i might get an ATX one as well. Thanks for any help Budget is ~300€ [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Nov 2019 04:15 PM PST I already have this PC, and am pretty happy with performance. My question is this, is there anything I could/should upgrade since its Black Friday? Budget being like $200 more or less. I was thinking of adding another 16gb of RAM, but it seems unnecessary (also my exact ram isn't the vengeance rgb pro, but the older standard rgb(not listed on pc part picker), so I'd have to buy it as 32GB to avoid issues since RAM is fickle like that). I was planning to replace my speakers since my sub-woofer is shot, but I was wondering if there was something more in the guts of pc that may be more impactful to change. Thanks for any advice. Posted: 28 Nov 2019 04:15 PM PST Hey everyone, I just put together my first PC and I wanted to run it through the forum and get any last minute advice before I purchase. I'm a casual gamer and I'm looking to upgrade from my old Alienware X51-R2 I bought in 2013 (I didn't know much back then and chose the name brand over custom builds to avoid complications). I was looking to spend up to $1,000 and after doing some research while picking out the parts, I just got under $900. I'm not incredibly knowledgeable in PC building and it's physical components, but I put together what seems to be relatively popular in the $1,000 budget build field. Here are the parts I'm using: PCPartPicker Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/9CrLsk CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor ($194.00 @ Amazon) Motherboard: MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX ATX AM4 Motherboard ($114.99 @ B&H) Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory ($69.98 @ Amazon) Storage: Samsung 970 Evo 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive ($149.99 @ Amazon) Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6 GB VENTUS XS OC Video Card ($239.99 @ Newegg) Case: NZXT H510 ATX Mid Tower Case ($69.98 @ Amazon) Power Supply: Corsair TXM Gold 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply ($59.99 @ Newegg) Total: $898.92 All comments and thoughts welcome! Build ready, first time doing this! Looking for approval or suggestions before ordering :) Posted: 28 Nov 2019 03:55 PM PST Building a PC for casual 1080p gaming and for better programming productivity. It's my first time building and so I'd really appreciate some suggestions on my picked parts. The ryzen 3600x & GTX 1660 Ti are on sale on Amazon rn!! As of the budget, i would prefer not going over $1400 CND (1050 USD). PCPartPicker Part List: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/WMRY9G

Posted: 28 Nov 2019 10:05 AM PST I'm tempted to jump on the $199 3600x deal and get an MSI B450 board for a total of around $350 after tax. Worth it for some casual gaming and occasional video editing? [link] [comments]
Completed my parts list, need some advice before final purchase. Posted: 28 Nov 2019 02:47 PM PST
This is the my current list. I know that the THICC II is not the best 5700 XT, but the only other non-ref card available is a STRIX and that has some problems too. The STRIX is also about $100 more exspensive. I have not built a PC in about 5 years, so Im not sure if I got everything right. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and Im open to any changes! RAM clearance on a development/gaming build Posted: 28 Nov 2019 01:13 PM PST Build Help/Ready:Have you read the sidebar and rules? (Please do) Yes What is your intended use for this build? The more details the better. Software development and HFR gaming. If gaming, what kind of performance are you looking for? (Screen resolution, framerate, game settings) 1440p 120Hz VRR What is your budget (ballpark is okay)? $2,500 In what country are you purchasing your parts? United States Post a draft of your potential build here (specific parts please). Consider formatting your parts list. Don't ask to be spoonfed a build (read the rules!).
Provide any additional details you wish below. One of my main concerns with the build is whether the Meshify C has enough CPU cooler clearance to support both fans on the NH-D15. I'm not sure what the height of the Ballistix Sport RAM is, and googling hasn't turned up anything helpful (some say it's basically standard DDR4 height, and at least one person has said it's 44mm). According to some, they're basically standard height, and the NH-D15 has 32mm of clearance in dual-fan mode. You can move the fan up, but that only gives me about 5mm of additional height before I run into the Meshify C's 170mm clearance limit. Basically, if the RAM is taller than 37mm, I will need a different case. If anyone happens to know exactly how tall the Ballistix Sport AT modules are, or has other feedback on the build, I'd love to hear from you. [link] [comments]
Is this pc worth the money in my situation Posted: 28 Nov 2019 02:21 PM PST Some context first: I'm 18 years old, I've got around 700 pounds (uk) saved up and I'm about to go to university. I currently own the hard drive, power supply and graphics card. I play pretty much only fortnite on all low graphical settings. My question is, are these 'upgrades' (it's pretty much a new pc) worth the money? At most I would be streaming, playing fn with discord open ect. With Christmas money and selling old parts in addition to the black friday deals I should have enough https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/Eddiejbc123/saved/#view=KPKWbv Thanks in advance for any advice [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Nov 2019 11:34 AM PST Hello, I am trying to adjust the RAM speeds on a new build. If i go anything above 2133,my PC will crash. At 2933, everything will run until I start to play a game, then it will crash. Anything above 2933 will not boot. When enabling D.O.C.P, it suggest I run at 3200, but PC won't even boot with D.O.C.P enabled. Current set up is: Ryzen 7 2700 Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 32gb DDr4 3200 ASUS ROG X470-F Gaming DDR4 (Win 10 boot from Samsung 860 EVO SSD) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated on how to get faster RAM speeds. Can you guys just suggest a build for me? Newbie here trying hard af but still so overwhelmed. Posted: 28 Nov 2019 02:20 PM PST Alright boys...I give up. I've been trying so hard to figure shit out on my own and I'm just going to ask the experts now. Here's the deal, I need an all around comp for kinda gaming, kinda video/pic editing and kinda business (big ol excel spread sheets, two monitors for sure). MOST IMPORTANT - Business - Basically, when I open up a program (excel, chrome, whatever) I want it to open the fuck up as fast as possible. From what I understand, this means I want a lot of ram? IMPORTANT - Video/pic Editing - This is kind of important. Currently I'm not able to perform to the ability that I know I can because just takes so damn long to do anything with bigger files. I Def will need something that is capable of doing some pretty serious video/pic editing. From what I understand, this means I need a pretty good processor? LEAST IMPORTANT - Gaming - nothing too crazy. Might play WoW and fortnite. That's about it tbh. From what I understand, this means I need a slightly better than stock graphics card? The only thing I've been able to figure out for sure is that I want at least a terabyte of storage. My current laptop is maxed out and I just don't want to deal with that issue ever again. What I'm currently dealing with (with my notes): Processor - Intel Core i3-2310M @2.10 Ghz 2 cores ---- This is the most confusing part to me, you could smash your face against your keyboard and then tell me that mess is the name of a better processor than the one I have and I would believe you. What is the objective reference when comparing processors? RAM - 4 GB - I'm assuming I'm going to want at least 8 gb? Probably wouldn't mind getting 16 tbh? Hard drive - 250 GB - not enough. Def need a TB. This is the only part of the process that I understand. Graphics card - Intel HD graphics family ....wtf does that even mean? Approx total memory is 1696 mb. Idk what that means either... As far as the fan and the case and stuff goes, I'm assuming that doesn't matter really. Like idc what it looks like. I just need a fast machine that allows me to do some big video work and sometimes play games basically... Budget - I'd like to keep it under $400 if possible. I could go up to $600 if I have to. This will be my first real computer so I'd like to kind of keep it cheap tbh. So let me know what suggestions/builds you guys can come up with. I hate to basically dump a homework assignment on you guys but I just can't seem to figure anything out for myself lol. I'm an adult I promise! Is an I5 9600kf a good match with an Rx 580? Posted: 28 Nov 2019 07:39 AM PST I just purchased a i5 9600kf that was on sale for really cheap, i'm planning on adding it to my system once it arrives as it's a lot better than my current cpu (i3 8100) but theirs very little info online as to how it would perform paired with an RX 580 or if there would be a major gpu bottleneck or not. As it stands my current cpu pairs quite well with the 580 however i'm running into lots of stuttering with certain games especially newer ones due to the cpu itself and am in need of an upgrade. I'm also curious what would my performance increase be like using the i5 9600kf instead of the i3 8100? My current rig is: Gpu: Rx 580 sapphire nitro + Cpu: i3 8100 Ram: 16gb ddr4 2400 mhz Gskill Ripjaws V Mobo: ASrock B360M-HDV Kingston 240GB NVMe Seagate barracuda 1tb HDD Seagate Firecuda 2tb HDD [link] [comments]
Case Front fans: 2x 140mm or 3x 120mm? Posted: 28 Nov 2019 12:37 PM PST Im making a matx build using a Coolermaster NR400 case and wondering what the best front fan setup would be? Im going to use BeQuiet! Pure wings i think, since the case is very open i would like some pretty silent fans. [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Nov 2019 02:08 PM PST Firstly I like to play a few games mainly maybe project cars or fortnite, and I was thinking about buying a pc. I am awful with technology so building a pc is out of the books and I'm hoping for a pc that is under €1000 but can maybe give me 144fps on a 60hz monitor. I also have very limited space for this and my desk is hilariously small despite my monitor being propped up. Should I buy a pc? [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Nov 2019 04:14 PM PST Hey! I'm currently thinking of upgrading my system as I'm starting to feel the wear and tear of the years of gaming I've been doing on the ol' reliable. I did recently (last year) upgrade my GPU to a GTX 1060 6GB and was going to keep this in my next build and was going to pair this with a Ryzen 2600 CPU with 16GB of DDR4. I am worried as a friend mentioned that there may be some bottlenecking issues and was wondering if this will be a problem? I only really use the PC to play games like LoL, RDR2, PUBG, etc. browse and watch content. I have two monitors set up however was just wondering if this system will work fine for what I intend to use it for. Thanks for any help [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Nov 2019 04:06 PM PST This is my list, the two monitors I have selected are what I'm trying to figure out is my best bet for a $200 Gaming Monitor [link] [comments] |
