- What is wrong with this laptop? MSI GP75 LEOPARD VS ASUS STRIX HERO III. I just got it and the colors in the MSI looked washed out (especially purple). What can be the problem? It’s a shame because I was going to replace the asus with the MSI because it has a better graphic card (RTX 2070)

What's the best Windows laptop under 500$ Posted: 29 Nov 2019 12:54 PM PST My father wants to get the both of us new laptops, he is an economist and uses PowerPoint and spreadsheets quite often. The surface go seems good but the size and it's capabilities worry me. What are other laptops that would be good under 500$? [link] [comments]

Looking for a general use laptop under 1000 Posted: 29 Nov 2019 09:31 AM PST I'm going to buy a laptop over the weekend and I'm having trouble figuring out what would be best for me. I haven't had a computer in about 5 years and it was a macbook pro. I loved the thing but at the time I had alot of apple stuff so it made sense but now I own nothing by apple. The laptop would be mostly for just general use for school maybe some light gaming. Most important to me is that it runs fast and doesn't get out of date quickly. My max budget is 1000$ usd but I would really rather not spend 1000 unless its gonna be well worth it. [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 Nov 2019 10:45 AM PST I was wondering what laptop I should get while everything's on sale, but I literally have no clue as to what a "good" laptop is. I'm looking for a laptop with at least 8 GB ram and is good enough for the computer science work I plan on doing for the next four years. Without breaking the bank, do you guys have any suggestions as to what laptop I should get? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Need help with RAM for new laptop! Posted: 29 Nov 2019 02:24 PM PST Just purchased my first ever laptop, I have never bought one, do not know much about computer parts. Asus ROG strix g g531gt vs Asus TUF fx505du Posted: 29 Nov 2019 02:10 PM PST So, I've wanted to upgrade to a better laptop and now I've got the chance. By searching various sites from my country, I've stumbled upon the models listed in the title...the only problem is I can't decide which one of them should I buy. The idea is that the ROG one has an i7-9750H and a gtx 1650, and the TUF one has a R7 3750H and a gtx 1660ti. The price is quite similar, but I must decide which one of them I want. I will also need it for highschool and college work, so it must be future proof. I would go for the gtx 1660ti...but right now, I'm not that big of a gamer...so, ya, pls help me make a decision 🙋♂️ [link] [comments]
Help finding a laptop to play league of legends Posted: 29 Nov 2019 02:03 PM PST Hey everyone just trying to find a decent laptop that can play league of legends, 7 days to die, and dead by daylight, I already have a super nice desktop but sick of lugging it to lan parties haha [link] [comments]
is this a good deal for a mid-range laptop? Posted: 29 Nov 2019 01:59 PM PST I wanted some help on finding a laptop because i'm kind of lost with all the options. I was wondering if this was a good deal: https://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/hp-laptop-15t-8qq67av-1 It's mainly for college stuff but I'd like to be able to play games on it with mid range system requirements. How to tell if a LT had an internal expansion slot for HD? Posted: 29 Nov 2019 01:54 PM PST Basically looking for a new LT shipped with a old-school HD drive that I can swap out for a SSD. Cost savings into better main components, for a cheaper internal, is the idea. Seems to be the case across the board. I then want to use the HDD it comes with for an internal expansion drive. Thing is, none of the specs pages I'm looking at seem to include that detail. How do you know if a laptop comes with a second, internal 2.5" bay/slot? [link] [comments]
Robust, durable laptop for a university student? Posted: 29 Nov 2019 01:53 PM PST Can someone recommend me a robust and durable one able to perform well at the same time? I'm not a gamer, I mostly use the computer for work related stuff such as programming (MATLAB) and writing scientific reports. I considered buying a good gaming laptop but that's overkill for what I'm doing. [link] [comments]

Which gaming laptop should I get for my price range? Posted: 29 Nov 2019 04:29 AM PST I'm going to get a new gaming laptop for Black Friday but I'm stuck between these two options. My budget is between $1000 and $1500 My first option is this Lenovo Legion Y740. Link is here This laptop is about to go on a Black Friday sale for around $1300 in a couple hours. My second option is the ASUS ROG Strix G: https://www.microcenter.com/product/616752/asus-rog-strix-g-gl531gw-pb74-156-gaming-laptop-computer---black Which gives me more bang for my buck? My budget is between $1000-$1500. If there's better options in that price range let me know! [link] [comments]

Wife wants Macbook. I'm not so sure. Posted: 29 Nov 2019 08:12 AM PST Title states the main question, my wife wants a macbook for christmas and she is not budging on it. She isn't sure which one she wants and I figured Reddit was the best place to go for advice. I use an Acer Nitro 5 windows laptop because i can't stand apple products. So the questions for the folks here are, would you recommend a macbook? What model is the best? What are some alternatives that would give the same performance? (She won't be using it for serious gaming. Just pictures, some work stuff and music.) Thanks friends! [link] [comments]

About to pull the trigger, but resisting. Posted: 29 Nov 2019 11:43 AM PST I am so close but I am struggling to justify spending the money on this laptop. I want to, but yikes at $1,243 for it, after tax. It's a Lenovo y540 17" laptop with 1660ti, 144hz, i7-9750 processor and 8gb RAM. It has a 1TB HDD and a 256gb SSD. After tax and even applying a coupon, I'm looking at a final price of $1,243. Does anyone know how I can lower this? Maybe a discount code I don't know about? I've been looking forward to Black Friday sales and nothing really came of it for Lenovo and I really want this laptop. I'm quite crushed. Thanks. [link] [comments]
Usb C 3.1 Gen 2 displayport support (Asus Zenbook 15 UX533FN) Posted: 29 Nov 2019 11:26 AM PST Hello, I want to get a new 1080p 144hz monitor but I'm not sure if my laptop's usb type c port can support it. From what I saw on Asus' website is that the port is a USB 3.1 Gen 2 port. Couldn't really find any definitive answer if it is able to run 144hz at 1080p. If it does can I just use a type c to display port cable or do I need any kind of adapter? [link] [comments] |
