Problem with audio output/input jack on MSI Nightblade PC Posted: 02 Sep 2019 03:09 AM PDT The computer has been working fine until recently with no apparent changes, not being able to detect my headphones. I've tried going in through the sound options on the control panel to show a list of devices just to make sure it isn't disabled, even opening up the 'hidden devices' tab to yet again find no device of mine, tried downloading the latest drivers from Realtek, tried removing Nahimic, tried a set of cmd prompts (net local group Administrators /add networkservice & net local group Administrators /add localservice) ; kind of hitting a wall on the other side of which is taking the pc to a technician. P. S. I don't know if it's relevant but my audio device is listed as 'Realtek (R) Audio Device' Thanks for any help or information that anyone can give. i5-8400 @ 2.8 8GB RAM Running WINDOWS 10 Home [link] [comments]
My friend is in real problem with his Girlfriends macbook. Posted: 02 Sep 2019 07:51 AM PDT So i don't know if this is the right subreddit to post this problem but here we go. So my friend and his GF have 2 profile/user on hers macbook. last night she logged into my friends profile to do stuff. When she was using the safari she saw 2 bookmarks on pornsites and got mad at my friend, Since he have said to her that he would stop watching porn for her. He tells her that he hasn't been watching porn and the GF doesn't believe in him. So now he have a couple of weeks to prove that he hasn't watched porn and didn't create those bookmarks on the pornsite, otherwise the GF would brake up with him. tl;dr. my friend have to prove to his Girfriend that he hasn't watched porn nor created bookmarks on pornsite on her Macbook otherwise theris relationship will be over. Wireless mouse is scrolling the wrong way Posted: 01 Sep 2019 09:06 PM PDT So for some reason my Alienware 15 R4 laptop decided to invert the scrolling direction of my wireless mouse. I have no idea how to fix this, and I've tried editing the registry that every google search result has suggested so far, but that has not worked either. I found one result that said to create some hotkey.ahk file with a code that loading it will invert the scrolling back. It worked, sorta. I constantly need to keep re opening the file and I'm becoming impatient with it. Does anyone know a way to solve this problem? [link] [comments]

Rainbow Six Siege Drops Down to 1-5 FPS Randomly Posted: 01 Sep 2019 04:18 PM PDT
Firewall and Internet problems Posted: 01 Sep 2019 04:17 PM PDT Hey everyone - I've been trying to get this problem fixed for weeks, no such luck. At random periods for 5-15 seconds, I will have a connection drop. The drop is not so severe that I notice when just browsing the web, but when I'm playing a video game, it causes me to freeze in place and everything stops. I once thought this was just the woes of a bad ISP. However, I noticed some logs in my gateway's firewall that correlate with the timings of the lag spikes. The most common two read "FW.IPv6 INPUT drop" "FW.IPv6 FORWARD drop" there is a less common "FW.WANATTACK DROP" These have various amounts of attempts and happen at random times. I've had 3 tech visits. Originally, they believed it was a malicious reasoning, like a DoS. However, the gateway has been changed and my WAN IP with it. Now, I'm told it's nothing that Xfinity can do. Any ideas what these logs are, and if they're even correlated with the lag? [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Sep 2019 04:13 PM PDT I have an Acer Aspire 1830 that I got off my old school. It's great, but on startup, the BIOS (where it shows the "F2 for setup, etc." settings) shows a government image, which until I get rid of, I can't even take the laptop out of the house and use it. Is there a way to reset it to the default Acer image, or change it to a custom one I've created? The laptop is running the InsydeH2O rev. 3.5 BIOS, and a modified version of Ubuntu LTS. Thank you for any help in advance! Edit: I'm allowed to modify the laptop in any way as it's been decommissioned from the education department. Edit 2: BIOS flashed and set back to Acer's logo. Thanks all! [link] [comments] |
