Posted: 30 Sep 2019 05:22 AM PDT I created an app which allows users to start a meditation session and set the duration for their session. The app doesn't let you use the device or even move the device while the session is supposed to be ongoing, or else you session is ended. You get scores from your meditation sessions, and can create a streak by holding at least one session each day. You get different badges for milestones such as five day streak, twenty-five day streak and so on. There is also a leaderboard with weekly, monthly and overall sections where the users with the highest scores in that period are showcased. I believe this is a good way to motivate yourself as well as others to get into the habit of regular meditation, in a fun but potent way. The app also has ambient sounds as well as a set of the most well-known binaural beats for those who are interested in such things and users can play it anytime to help themselves get into the state of mind they want to reach. I would really appreciate any feedbacks about the app to make it more useful! Play Store link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.UnjinxApps.brainWaves&referrer=today (Note that this app has existed for about a year now but I completely overhauled the app within the last two weeks and released the update yesterday. The app is basically completely different from how it was two weeks ago.) [link] [comments] |
Alarm App that mutes when lifting or flipping the phone? Posted: 30 Sep 2019 10:53 AM PDT Alarm App that mutes when lifting or flipping the phone Android alarm app or maybe Samsung alarm app at some point in time had the ability to mute when flipping the phone. Muzei is there still a working 500px extension? Posted: 30 Sep 2019 11:53 AM PDT I still use firepaper 500 but there's little variety anymore and hasn't been for a while since it moved to r/earthporn I've heard Muzei is a good alternative but is there a current extension to get images from 500px? I've been using Nova prime for so long and i just found out that you could do this! Posted: 30 Sep 2019 06:47 AM PDT edit: you can change the icon of the folder by long pressing on it. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 Sep 2019 06:00 AM PDT Spent a little time personalizing my phone recently and used a bunch of apps I can recommend: Launcher: Nova Prime - I'm just going to assume you all know about this already. Wallpaper: Video Live Wallpaper - It is exactly what it says it is. Surprisingly light on the battery. Music widget: Samsung Music - (Samsung only) Time & Date Widget: Minimal Text Widgets - If you've been on android a while you might remember, this was a fairly popular widget in the olden times. Was going through my previously installed apps while looking for a clock widget on the play store. Still looks pretty good IMO. Phone status widget: Samsung Device Care (Samsung only) Weather widget: Meteored Pro - Simple, nice app UI. Calendar: Digical - OG calendar widget. Multiple accounts. Customisable AF. App Drawer, sidebar & folder organizer: Jina - BEAST MODE app launching & organisation. Side launcher 1: Swipe Pad - Another ancient app that still seems to work - launch apps, shortcuts and widgets etc Recently came across Zone Launcher in this sub, which is newer, but didn't play so well with Jina Side launcher 2: Samsung Edgeboard (Samsung only) - Annoyingly, it can only be launched from one side, is portrait only and can only launch apps, not shortcuts. Hence the other launchers. Video for background Downloaded using: Y Music Icons: White [link] [comments] |
Expense Manager that syncs with Email Posted: 30 Sep 2019 01:31 AM PDT I am looking for an Android app which syncs my expenditure automatically from my mail . I always use my card for even small transactions and they all end up in my mail inbox. I know this raises some privacy concerns, but I don't mind because the mail I'd linked to bank is not in use for anything else. I have found a couple of apps which does this from reading SMS, but none from email. Thanks [link] [comments] |
best (most efficient) way to block certain apps from network (non-root) Posted: 30 Sep 2019 05:12 AM PDT I have an S7 running stock 8.0.0. I want to be able to choose to block all network access to certain apps, while allowing everything else. Back in the day I used to use DroidWall, AFWall etc, to do this on rooted phones and it worked great, but times have changed, and I need a non-root solution. 8-) I installed NetGuard today and it seemed good, but unfortunately the main internet connection I currently have access to doesn't like VPN. (public wifi hotspot with captive portal login) Any suggestions/recommendations on other apps that would be suitable would be appreciated. :) [link] [comments] |

Tally counter apps with options for daily/weekly/monthly reset? Posted: 30 Sep 2019 02:23 PM PDT I am looking for a simple tally counter app, preferably with support for statistics/graphs. Those are easy to find! But the killer feature is a counter that automatically resets. Options for monthly resets, or resets every Thursday, or resets every day at eight, etc. Anyone know of any good ones? [link] [comments] |
JINA App Drawer - Really useful and functional app drawer Posted: 29 Sep 2019 10:36 PM PDT I found this app a couple of weeks ago and I think it is one of the best app drawer apps I've ever used. You have multiple options to view and manage your apps, extract APK's, sort by lots of different categories, create folders the functionality goes on and on. If you're looking for a better option to manage your apps, check out JINA app drawer. NB: I am not associated with the developer at all, I just like the app and think its really useful. Good local private storage app? Posted: 30 Sep 2019 01:57 PM PDT I want an app that just stores and/or encrypts photos/text/data locally and and cannot connect to texting or social apps The only connection I ideally want is to have a way to transfer the data to a new phone when I inevitably have to replace mine. None of this cloud bullshit. No third party accounts or subscriptions, ads. Just a free or one time payment app. Phone is an S8. [link] [comments] |

dialer app with notification actions and floating icon Posted: 30 Sep 2019 11:41 AM PDT Hi guys, I upgraded my S5 from touchwiz 4.4.2 to Lineage OS 7.1.2. one of the things I'm missing the most is the TW dialer app. during a call, it had speaker and mute actions from the call notification, and a floating call icon on the launcher whenever you clicked the home button. is there an app which has these features? thanks! Posted: 30 Sep 2019 02:46 AM PDT For a while now SwiftKey colors the nav bar (with no setting to switch this off), which doesn't fully work (on the LG G7 with Pie), because e.g. if one switches to incognito mode (outside Chrome incognito mode), I end up with dark symbols on a dark background. The last apk I found (7.2.3.24) has a bug in incognito mode (no symbols or numbers being shown), and the only newer xapk I found (7.3.8.16) already has the problem I mentioned. Ideally I'd find version 7.2.4.22 (as a xapk, because after 7.2.3.24 SwiftKey switched to xapk), but that seems impossible. Anybody can help? Thanks! [link] [comments] |

Posted: 30 Sep 2019 10:51 AM PDT I'm surprise the Devs are not using smart reader from shade launcher it's just awesome its integration with music player and notifications I would love this launcher if it has a bit more customization but it's fair good, I know lawnchair included this smart reader but it's buggy compared to amir's [link] [comments] |
