| Is it possible to change emui 9 gestures? Posted: 15 Aug 2019 09:59 PM PDT Hey, I´ve decided to try and use navigation gestures on my mate 20 lite running EMUI 9.0. The gestures for home and recents work just fine but I am having problems witht he back gesture (swipe from edge of screen). The gesture itself works properly but many apps use a slide out menu from the left side and if I try to access it the gesture kicks in and I go back. I can slide out the menu if I hold my finger there for about a second but it sure is inconvenient. I would raher only activate the gesture from the right edge of the screen or the bottom part. | Posted: 15 Aug 2019 07:48 PM PDT Just got the One Plus 7 Pro today. When setting the phone up it gave me the option to restore my text messages from Android Messages on my old S8. I did this and none of the text messages showed up. I used the SMS Backup & Restore app instead and got my text messages on my One Plus but they only show up on the One Plus messages app. None of them show up under Android Messages app. Anyone know how I can make them show up on Android Messages? Posted: 15 Aug 2019 07:06 PM PDT No idea if this is the right place to post this, but after doing a factory reset on my android phone I'm having a seriously annoying problem with the Amazon shopping app. Previously I could do a search, and then scroll continuously down a 'list' view through all the thousands of items. It'd be one after the other. Now after the reset I have 'pages' of items and they are listed two to a line with massive ads and suggested items in between - in the past suggested items were again simply in the listed format. I know there had too be a setting somewhere, but I can't find it - and at this rate I'm just going to be too frustrated to continue using Amazon!! Posted: 15 Aug 2019 06:39 PM PDT I've been trying to figure out a way of just removing certain apps from appearing in my recommended section, clearly the "not interested" button doesn't work as restarting the app just makes them pop back into place and finding an actual app I'm interested takes hours of searching by feature and scrolling for an eternity when the "not interested" button, if functional could have just removed the app from appearing on screen. I cannot update the phone apparently, and I'm not even sure if the OS is the problem. Do you think others apps will become incompatible too, and if so how long before my phone become unusable ? I have the developer option "night mode" on but I can't get actually dark mode on. Is there a setting to turn it non for my phone? I don't want to download a theme if I don't have to. | Tunneling over tethered connection? Posted: 15 Aug 2019 04:55 PM PDT I'm on a non rooted phone with zero possibility of unlocking the bootloader. I can run a proxy server and bypass T-Mobiles throttle on tethered connections but this only really works for tcpip traffic. I can enable a socks proxy through the same app but of course windows 10 only really works with https proxies, hence the UDP limitation. What I'm trying to do is tunnel all my traffic through the proxy server on my phone and then that in turn tunnels out to a VPN. I can currently get http and torrents to work ok by just setting a proxy in the applications but I want to create a tunnel and force all my traffic through it. Mostly so I can get steam to work properly. Any ideas? And thanks to any responses. [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 15 Aug 2019 04:40 PM PDT I would like my notifications that are set to vibrate to behave normally when the phone is locked, but when I'm using it I'd really prefer it if the notifications appeared in the status bar like normal but did not vibrate. Basically just triggering silent mood while the phone is unlocked only. Is that a possibility? I lock and unlock my phone hundreds of times a day and really want to avoid toggling between silent and vibrate every single time. [link] [comments]  |

I admitted 20 people only to the group who I believed were trustworthy and we used the group to vent about work/coworkers, with the understanding that everything said stays between us. Recently, someone in the group screenshot part of the chat and sent it in an effort to get us in trouble. I am trying to find out who the snitch/mole is and looked into the screenshot (which was sent back to me). It has no metadata, which I guess means it was screenshot on an Android phone (unless it was removed??—I doubt this). Is there any other information I can find to narrow down the culprit without metadata? Its resolution is 720 x 1113–does that help narrow down to a phone model or anything? [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 15 Aug 2019 03:23 PM PDT In the Notifications panel in Android menu, there's a slider for disabling all notifications for all apps and then you can enable notifs for specific apps. The thing is that newly installed apps will have notifs enabled by default and I found no way to disable by default. | PS4 Controller Not Working (android version 9) Posted: 15 Aug 2019 03:22 PM PDT PS4 controller is connecting via bluetooth and is set as an input device but does not respond at all and seems to not be detected outside of bluetooth settings. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy A70, my software is up to date, I have tried 2 different ps4 controllers and tested it with apps such as Gamepad Tester and various emulators which all had no response. I've also tried clearing cache and data on the bluetooth app itself which seemed to have no effect. Bluetooth seems to work with speakers and sending files to other phones. I thought controller issues would be resolved with android version 9. One other thing I've noticed is that the solid blue light(of the controller), when connected to my phone, continues to stay on after putting off bluetooth on my phone and only switches off after manually switching off my controller. That's the most fucked up feeling anyways she has sprint and had and iPhone 7 then she got an LG G8 Thinq and I can understand that every time I call it said it goes to a busy signal cuz she's blocked me but no matter what number I call from straight to busy signal I don't know if where it is I remember Verizon a long time ago there was a setting this is for smartphones but you had the option to let it ring for people only in your contacts and if they weren't in your contacts we'll go straight to voicemail can you tell me where she's doing is she call forwarding it like every single number to visit signal or what I just want some closure and yeah thanks appreciate it [link] [comments]  |

Every time I break it I end up putting a new display worth 40 dollars and it's not cheap for me as a student. First 2 times was my mistake and the third time happened randomly. The display is a first copy and not an original. The original for my phone cost 120 dollars. Would it be feasible to buy a phone worth 200 dollars or go for an original 120 dollar display?
