Installing Gcam takes literally 5 taps and 30 seconds, and it is a WORLD of difference. You can freely switch between the default shooter and the gcam shooter if there's any function missing. Features that will might interest casual phone users who doesn't care about cameras that much: Zero shutter delay versus ~0.5s of the default app. Better colors and saturation. Literally magic Night Sight mode. Amazing Portrait mode that doesn't force you to stand 3 meters away, and tons more. Features that might interest power users: Fully customizable auto white balance patterns, HDR, sharpening, saturation, auto ISO preference, adjustable lens blur, video bit rate, etc. I can't wait for the finished port that supports all 3 cameras. | Posted: 27 Aug 2019 06:00 PM PDT Anybody run into issue with OnePlus 6T Microphone? Had this phone since November and the mic seems to be defective now. Nobody can hear me on phone calls, I've tried restarting it and resetting the cache still doesn't seem to work. I've tried to use the recorder app as well, Facebook messenger mic and Google Assistant but it doesn't pick up anything. I went ahead and put in a service request with OnePlus and hopefully I can send it in and get it resolved without any repair charge. Just want to know if anybody have the same bottom microphone issue and is there a solution to it. Have anybody have any issue with sending the phone in for repair. Edit* Tried factory reset to see if that works, seem like microphone is defective. Also I don't use the microphone or talk on the phone much at all so this is pretty much a downer [link] [comments]  |

| Broken OnePlus backup and transfer Posted: 27 Aug 2019 06:47 PM PDT Hello people of r/oneplus About a year ago, I cracked my oneplus 5 and the plasma leaked all down the screen turning it black. I managed to hook it up so I can see the display on my computer screen and still use the phone. Now, I am finally getting around to sending it in for repair because I want my good old oneplus 5 back, but I am worried about the backup process, for I know that they wipe all of your data at the repair facility. My current plan is to use the app OnePlus Switch. I have done a backup using the app and transferred the file (which was called "opbackup") to my computer. It seems though to use the app you need to have both the new and old phone available at the time of transfer because it involves taking a picture of the old phone's qr code. Of course, because of my situation, I will only have the new phone available, and I am just wondering if the transfer can still be done. If I screenshot the qr code will it still work in the month or so when I get my new phone in the mail? If not is there some way that I can use the file I transferred to my computer in order to complete the backup transfer? If neither of those options work I am out of ideas, so please, any help is appreciated! Thanks! [link] [comments]  |

I'm not a super heavy user - mainly just social media (Facebook the biggest) and Spotify while I'm at uni. It's disappointing considering the phone is only 6 months old. I'm using the case that came with it and it's doing a great job! The 'screen protector' that comes on the phone has finally given up the ghost (didn't know it was even there lol) I was looking to get something new to keep the screen fresh but I'm not sure what's available that will fit around the default case - anyone got any suggestions? Not sure if the websites are tryna sneaky peekie or if it's legitimately some hardware signal mixup. EDIT: Alright, can't reply to everyone in here so I thought I'd update this post, I checked the permission on Firefox and it did indeed have access to my camera, which I have disabled, the microphone permission as well now, and so far I haven't had this issue with any other app. This is indeed sketchy as fuck and will have me on the lookout for suspicious default permissions on any app I install from now on. | OpenMobile API/Smartcard Service for the 7 Pro Posted: 27 Aug 2019 01:06 PM PDT Google Pay is not available in my country, but the banks have their own solutions, which all require the OpenMobile API to be installed. My Oneplus One did not have it, but i remember my Oneplus 5 had it working at some point. I just wanted to install it on my 7 Pro, but it cannot find the API again. Did they remove it from OxygenOS or do i have to install some kind of a special version? I have the regular EU version of the 7 Pro. [link] [comments]  |

| Every once in awhile phone forces me to enter in Pin Posted: 27 Aug 2019 10:58 AM PDT As far as I know my phone isn't restarting but, every once in awhile I'll go to respond to a text (specifically when I've been messaging) but won't give me the option to use the finger print scanner but make me enter my pin. Is that a security feature? Like if you're constantly using the finger print scanner? Not a huge issue, just something I noticed. [link] [comments]  |

I know it's a common issue to people who bought these and I did look around for a solution, I tried all of them except for one in particular: One of the solution is to clear the cache of the Bluetooth app of the phone. The problem is that OnePlus doesn't have an app dedicated for Bluetooth. Is there a way to clear the cache of Bluetooth for OnePlus 5?
