    How To Uninstall Segurazo Malware

    Posted: 07 Aug 2019 09:06 PM PDT

So, I've spent the last 2 hours trying to uninstall Segurazo. The only suggestions I've found online (everything has actually been from reddit) have been either you need to do a complete reinstall of W10 or you need to boot PC in WinPE with a USB. I didn't think we needed to go through all that, so I tried CMD while in Safe Mode and it worked like a charm.

    How to remove it:

Boot Windows 10 into safe mode

    Open CMD as Admin.

Enter the following: cd /d C:\Program Files (x86)

    Then enter: dir /x

Then enter: rmdir /q /s Segurazo

This should immediately delete Segurazo completely. Just restart your computer.

Hiding history and searches from member of family

    Posted: 07 Aug 2019 05:45 AM PDT

Hello. I have a member of my family who told us he can view everything we do on each of our devices (we share the Wifi in the family, he's a software engineer student atm). I don't feel comfortable with that and I have told him but he asks "Why? Do you have anything to hide?" I understand the normal person would comprehend I want some sort of privacy, and let's say I don't feel like I have any. Moving out isn't an option at the moment. I thought about buying my own Wifi, but that's a bit much I believe.

Is there any way for me to hide what I'm searching on looking at on my computer and my handheld devices that is easy to get for someone with mediocre technical skills like me? Also, if I search everything in Incognito mode, is that alright?

I hope this is in the right section and that it hasn't been asked previously, sorry if it has :(

    Gaming Computer turns off randomly.

    Posted: 08 Aug 2019 02:39 AM PDT

Just built a new gaming computer specs:

i7 9700k, Rtx 2070 super, 750 watt Corsair psu, 2 ssds + 1 hdd, 5 120 mm fans, Lightning node pro, 4 led strips, Corsair link thing for fans

So my computer will randomly shut off. Just playing a game and then it's like the power goes out and the computer turns right back on. It only happens when I'm playing games and I'm not sure what the problem is. Also when it happens it seems that both the cpu and gpu are not at 100% load. I'm thinking it has to do with my psu because my temps are pretty good with gpu being 60c and cpu being 70c. Also no overclock being applied. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I cant connect to certain websites without VPN on

    Posted: 08 Aug 2019 12:34 AM PDT

I have been using the VPN Windscribe for a long time on chrome but when I try to access a website without it on, I cant access it, the website is not blocked by the host. Before I downloaded Windscribe I can access websites just fine, but now even when I turn off the Windscribe firewall, uninstalled Windscribe, uninstalled then reinstalled chrome I still cant access the website (https://schools.compass.education/), I have tried many things like unchecked "Use a proxy server for you LAN" in chrome settings and removed the cache and cookies, is there any way to fix this so I can access websites again?

    Windows issues after ac loss

    Posted: 08 Aug 2019 04:12 AM PDT

So, i was using my custom desktop (gtx 1050ti, ryzen 5, asus mother board though im not sure what it is as i bought it off a family member) and the power board the its plugged into came out, so i put it back in and the computer rebooted it self, which i didn't realize, then i dediced to move the power board so it didnt come out again... while the pc was booting...

I eventually managed to get the pc to boot after turing it on and off a few times once it got stuck on the windows 10 booting screen (brand logo with the default spinny thing under it) and it went to fixing drive errors, which took about an hour and a half, and then it booted. So i loged in and thought yay its all good, lets play some minecraft, but just as it started, no signal, but the led power indicator was still on. i held the power button to shut it down and powered it back on, although this time, the computer was really slow, start took a long time, settings wouldnt open, the action center took at least 10 seconds. so im really stumped. anyone got any idea

    thanks so much.

No display after motherboard logo UNLESS I reboot

    Posted: 08 Aug 2019 03:55 AM PDT

My pc has been working fine for the past 2 years, but all of a sudden now, when I boot the PC, the display goes black after the motherboard logo is shown on the monitor. If I reboot, then everything works fine.

This happens every morning I boot my PC. (boot --> motherboard logo --> black screen on display that goes on forever --> reboot --> PC works fine)

Does anyone know what the problem might be? Thanks a lot in advance!

Weird issue with File copy speed between Windows Server 2019, Windows 10 and Windows 7

    Posted: 08 Aug 2019 12:09 AM PDT

    Hey guys,

We've been running into the weirdest issue since ages, and I'm not sure how to explain it since we're quite baffled.

We have a Windows 10 machine running in a Windows Server 2019 domain which has terrible file transfer speeds and has trouble starting applications running on the share. However, there's a also a Windows 7 machine running in the same domain.

When this Windows 7 machine is copying files, suddenly the Windows 10 machine transfers files normally. Applications running on the share suddenly start normally aswel.

    TL;DR:

Windows 10 machine only copies files fast when a Windows 7 machine is running a file copy task in a Windows Server 2019 Domain. How.

    Experiencing WiFi drop outs.

    Posted: 08 Aug 2019 03:45 AM PDT

I have a computer with windows 10 with a USB WiFi adaptor. 2 different ones. Experiencing the same drop outs. I'll have a strong signal and then whenever I do anything active like play an mmo or anything I'll get disconnected. I can do large file downloads at a very good speed with no issue but then I'll get disconnected.

Haven't tried wired through ethernet yet. Also I've changed the windows 10 setting so my USB adapter doesn't sleep after a certain amount of time. Any suggestions before I buy a new router?

    Intel® Core™ WORSE than a Pentium®

    Posted: 07 Aug 2019 11:53 PM PDT

I've been thinking of how would I write the whole scheme of the issue but I will do my very best to explain it (spanish speaker).

So I've been using and gaming on my desktop pc with no dedicated graphics card for almost 2 years that my humble father could get from a deal of the college I'm going to. This computer is a big upgrade in terms of performance since I was using just an old netbook that could barely keep turning on.

These are the specs for the said desktop:

And these are three benchmarks I did for the next comparison:

    1. CS:GO Bench (Core i3) https://i.imgur.com/azj4LVk.png
    2. Just Cause 2 Bench (Core i3) https://i.imgur.com/jMWJT6k.jpg
    3. Tomb Raider 2013 Bench (Core i3) https://i.imgur.com/2HOUXDZ.jpg

Never had any real trouble with this low-end setup. With it I played the now dead Ghost in The Shell: First Assault, Overwatch (everything low and windowed 800x600), Minecraft, Guild Wars 2 among others and emulated games too.It does browsing very well, playing FullHD videos or movies is smooth. Alt+tabbing while in games is mostly smooth (GW2 alt+tabbing to chrome checking wiki or videos, to Discord and back to the game) with almost never mouse stuttering (thanks to hyper-threading I think).I did not touch the BIOS at all except for setting the mode to "Optimal" in Asus UEFI EZ Mode.Unparked the cpu with Unpark CPU, temperatures stayed low.I did the regular physical cleaning and used CCleaner for the usual.

Then a driver/memory BSOD occurred while booting Windows and my roomate lent me his desktop pc as he doesn't use it for the moment so I could check the hard drive and everything else.

These are the specs of his pc:

Installed the correct drivers, unparked the cpu and then went to test my games on these setup and here are the results:

    1. CS:GO Bench (Pentium) https://i.imgur.com/L1FQDiN.png
    2. Just Cause 2 Bench (Pentium) https://i.imgur.com/8LexZU0.jpg
    3. Tomb Raider 2013 Bench (Pentium) https://i.imgur.com/7gj5krn.jpg

I was very confused and surprised of how could this numbers would show. I read the Pentium G series are de-tuned Intel Core's with a bit worse performance and less threads.

    Here is more info:

    CPU COMPARATION https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/compare.html?productIds=77773,65693

    PENTIUM G3220 BENCHMARK https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/19013122

    CORE i3 3220 BENCHMARK https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/19023446

Note 1: Same two DDR3 memory (the screenshot shows the Pentium's but it's the same for the Core). Same PSU, same stock fans.Note 2: Everything is by default or Auto on the BIOS on the Pentium except for CPU Fan speed which is set to Full Speed.

EVERY game runs better on the Pentium, even Dolphin and PCSX2 games. Only doing alt+tabbing is less faster than in the Core and some games suffer fps stuters when I use Discord and somewhat often mouse freeze occurs but everything that involves a game is just better and I don't know why.

I hope you could please help me figure it out so I could stay with my own computer.

    Thanks in advance!

ADSL connection dropping after switching to Asus DSL-AC88U

    Posted: 08 Aug 2019 03:34 AM PDT

    Hi everyone,

On Wednesday I changed my modem router from a Netgear D7000v2 to an Asus DSL-AC88U.

Since changing, my internet connection seems to drop multiple times throughout the day. The router is still connected to all my devices correctly, my network is working as normal, and the DSL light is showing as connected. I have to restart the router to get the internet connected which then works perfectly, until it drops again a few hours later.

I have the log output of when i believe it last happened as everything was working perfectly before I went to sleep last night, but the internet connection had dropped by morning.

Need advice on buying gaming laptop

    Posted: 08 Aug 2019 03:29 AM PDT

I'm sure this has been posted thousands of times but anyway, I have the money to spend up to 1400 on a laptop, don't really want to have to, I'm looking at a hp omen 15 for £830 and it looks good enough for me. I need to run some music software (Ableton) as well as games like Rainbow six and GTA, do I need to spend more? I found an Acer predator titron 700 for £1300 and wondering if it's worth it, or something else, thanks Basically how much should I spend?

Can anyone identify this DVR(?) card?

    Posted: 07 Aug 2019 09:30 PM PDT

Sorry in advance if this is the wrong place to put this.

The fast food restaurant I work at was throwing out their old DVR computers since they got a new security camera system and I asked to take them home with me since they were perfectly fine (10+ years old, but I don't mind). When I opened one of them up (theres two computers; one for encoding and one for displaying the video feed to the managers from what I understand), it had a few PCI expansion cards that I can't seem to identify, although I know that they were part of the security camera system.

There's one card that really interests me, since it seems to have some sort of VGA pass-through and I believe it was the one used to do the actual recording. Is there anyone that could identify what this is (manufacturer, model number, etc...) and where I can get drivers for it? Is it possible for me to record an incoming VGA signal from a computer perhaps on it's way to a monitor if I pass it through the card? Is that even what I think it is in the first place? When I install it on the motherboard, it just shows up in Device Manager (Windows XP) under Unknown Devices, so it's definitely useless without drivers.

I don't know what software was on the computer that made all of this work since I wiped the HDD since I thought it was kind of a conflict of interest that I had almost 2TB worth of surveillance recordings, so there aren't any clues for me there. The computers were provided by a company called Posera, if that helps.

https://ibb.co/wwv4YPN - The entire front of the card

https://ibb.co/vPmLH60 - Some sort of barcode/tag with a serial number (think)

https://ibb.co/Pm7Y68W - Theres two of these chips on the back of the board

https://ibb.co/Nr0zkg7 - The biggest chip on the board

    https://ibb.co/09kq8Vk - A chip on the board

    https://ibb.co/8DXZgZv - PCI Bracket

https://ibb.co/80NF3PG - Back of the card
