AquaMail now forces to give a 5-star-rating. Posted: 06 Aug 2019 06:54 AM PDT To ask for a good rating is ok. But just "Rate 5 stars" or "Not now" (popup will show up again later) is NOT the common way. Many other apps do it better, providing a button "Never". How many stars will your rating have? Alternative to Bear - simple note-taking app in Markdown? Posted: 06 Aug 2019 03:07 AM PDT Hi guys! I've recently returned to Android after years in the iOS ecosystem (it's good to be back). One app I'm struggling to find a good replacement for is Bear (https://bear.app/). Bear is a simple, beautiful note-taking app that uses Markdown. I used Evernote for years but I hate that it's not in Markdown, and I feel like it's only gotten slower and worse over the years. I'm a writer, so Bear is the app I use more than anything else. My requirements are:
Simplenote is the closest I've found, but it doesn't seem to allow much in the way of Markdown formatting, and it's kinda ugly. Does anyone know of the perfect Bear replacement? Thanks! [link] [comments] |

[Dev] Steno - clutter free notes app (in-app promo) Posted: 06 Aug 2019 11:59 AM PDT We are currently developing a clutter free notes app and running a great deal for early adopters/testers. If someone would like to try it out you can join the beta for free and redeem this offer. [link] [comments] |
An app like TV Time but for movies? Posted: 06 Aug 2019 08:56 AM PDT I know this has already been asked a few years ago but I'm hoping there's been some new apps in the meantime. Also the devs of TV Time have been talking about making an app for movies but we haven't heard news in a long time. So my question is, what apps do you use or recommend to keep track of the movies you've seen? [link] [comments] |
Is there any easier way to organize and clean my Google photos? Posted: 06 Aug 2019 07:44 AM PDT I'm not exactly sure how it happened, but somehow my Google photos uploaded every dumb screen shot, reddit image, text message photo... Over the past few years. Id really like to cull these out, and just keep my actual family photos. I've peeked around the app, and can't figure anything out. Does anyone know how to in the Google photos app, or know another app that can accomplish this? [link] [comments] |
I am searching for an app that is able to use the gyroscope in my phone as input in my pc Posted: 06 Aug 2019 09:04 AM PDT So long story short I am looking for a way to use my gyroscope in my phone (LG G3) and turn it into input on my pc. I have a project in mind about running rpcs3 in vr and stream it to my phone (I already have everything setup but the inputs) [link] [comments] |

Posted: 05 Aug 2019 03:08 PM PDT Hi again, r/androidapps! This time last year, I'd just finished working on my first real independent app. I shared it with you all, and received some honest criticism which ended up not only reworking the entire user journey, but also completely shifting the core project vision. Hopefully one year on, you feel that I did the community justice! 👊 It has been an amazing journey, which has seen me end up in hospital, quitting my job, and even falling in love (you know it's love when they're willing to stay up until four in the morning configuring Firebase for you after you delete all your server content). I would never (never) have believed in a million years that publishing an app like this single-handedly would have taken this much work. I'm really happy to say that it still feels worth it, and I think your feedback is pretty much going to decide whether you think it's ready to open source! New Features: - Sign in without using social media - Customize your uploads using collages - Browse other user's posts in isolation - Share videos and Lottie Animations - Listen to local stations and check out the time of day and current weather conditions of wherever you're looking - Actually have fun. Really. By the way, if you're at all interested in some of the technical/architectural details and pain points, there's some detailed discussion here! [link] [comments] |

Posted: 06 Aug 2019 01:18 AM PDT Anyone can help me setup a profile to mute all notifications when I am using a certain app? I recently bought Tasker as advised in my previous post but I am unable to mute the notifications when I use a specific app. I tried searching online for some tutorial but I'm unable to find a tutorial that may be usable to what I am trying to achieve. I have made other profiles from my exploration but I am still unable to achieve my primary reason for purchasing this app. LOL. Thank you in advance. [link] [comments] |

Looking for metronome app with playlists Posted: 06 Aug 2019 12:47 PM PDT Hey drummers of this subreddit, as you might have guessed I'm a drummer in a rock band. I am currently looking for an Android metronome app that lets me create playlists with differently timed tracks, e.g.
The app should be able to play this list and it would be perfect if I could skip to the next track by clicking the remote on my headphones. Thanks a bunch in advance! [link] [comments] |

I want to try exploring my city some are their fun apps for this? Posted: 06 Aug 2019 08:56 AM PDT I want to try exploring my city some. Are their apps to help with a feel of fun exploration with in a certain distance? Basically as a change of pace from just a walk on the same loop I want to change things up with an app with fun and cool places to go to. Niantic has field trip. But that doesn't do distances Is their something sort of like that with distances to? [link] [comments] |
How to display current playing song's art as album art in Play Music? Posted: 06 Aug 2019 01:15 AM PDT I have an album where every song has a different art, since they're singles. But when I go to the lock screen or notifications, it displays a random art as the album art. Any way to fix this so it instead displays the current song's art? Thanks! [link] [comments] |

Is there an app to log your past concerts? Posted: 06 Aug 2019 11:30 AM PDT Hi, I recently made the switch from iOS to Android and I was wondering if there's an app to log the concerts you've been to. On iOS I used GigIt, but it's not on Android. I found Concert Log 2 but I can't use it because it's buggy. Any suggestions? Thanks :3 [link] [comments] |
An app to create one video of two videos side by side Posted: 06 Aug 2019 11:07 AM PDT I'm looking for an app in which I can upload two or more videos and combine them into one video in which the videos are side by side. As they are videos of the same thing but from a different perspective, I need to be able to synchronize them as well. This app comes close, but doesn't allow me to sync the two videos to run. Anyone who knows such an app? Thanks in advance! [link] [comments] |

Does 1.1.1.1 VPN drain more battery than other VPN services? Posted: 06 Aug 2019 10:35 AM PDT Does any VPN service drain the battery in Android Pie in Pixel or just 1.1.1.1? It was in the top of my list - sorry, forgot to take a screenshot. But 13% of May drain was because of it when I saw. I don't notice this with TunnelBear, for example. [link] [comments] |
