    • OnePlus stock camera
    • 30" shutter speed
    • 3200 ISO
    • 2300K WB
    • Infinite Focus

I'm honestly surprised because I've always had troubles making night shots with smartphones, but this time everything went well

    Battery life oneplus7 pro

    Posted: 24 Jul 2019 11:42 AM PDT

Seen a few queries/comments about battery life.
Here's my stats for 100% battery.
    -8.5hr screen on time.
    -4 days with screen off.
Using default settings for pretty much everything .
Wifi, mobile data, gps, Bluetooth, nfc enabled all time.
    Auto brightness. 90hz mode.
No gaming. Mainly video streams / msging / camera etc.
Occasionally I enable night mode at night (does seem to reduce drain +main reason is its easier on the eyes).
I have found my phone eats battery when streaming over mobile data (20%+/hr) I assume it boosts signal to get better download speed.

OP7P - is there any way to customize the Ambient Display?

    Posted: 24 Jul 2019 05:11 PM PDT

Is there any way to customize the ambient display on the OnePlus 7 Pro? I feel like the screen you see when you lift the phone is a little underwhelming. I know you can cycle between 4 different clocks, but I am looking for something a little more sleek and useful.

I particularly like the At A Glance widget available on the Pixel 3 ambient displays and was wondering if there was a way to add that to the OP7P? I feel like while everything else on this phone is either already sleek and modern (or at least can be customized to be so), the rise to wake screen is definitely a weak point. It seems boring and blocky and a step back from what this phone is supposed to offer.

    Any recommendations would be appreciated!

End of an era that I didn't want to end.

    Posted: 24 Jul 2019 07:21 PM PDT

My 3T took a spill into a jacuzzi the other night and sadly had to be retired (the screen adhesive was worn away at the top of the screen, so it most certainly took on water.) Phone still booted into recovery, but the rom wouldn't boot (white LED, black screen.) Bought the 7 Pro that night and it was at my door by today (not going to deal with the Tmobile version.)

3T was the best phone I had (Nexus 6 a close second,) battery life was still excellent, Gcam was great with the camera and with Havoc OS, it didn't feel 3 years old. Sad to move on (and going to miss my Oneplus Pixel flair,) but I'm enjoying the 7 Pro (barring the curved screen,) thus far.

5T - Returning for warranty - wanting to put original OS back on after installing LineageOS

    Posted: 24 Jul 2019 03:34 PM PDT

    Hi all,

My 5T arrived and the mic is defective. It only really works with bluetooth mic, so I have to send it back.

I've put LineageOS on it and it works SO well but of course I should put the default OS on so the people that I send it to can test and see it's a hardware issue. That's fine.

The question is, how can I revert back to the default OS? I've downloaded the stock ROM from the One Plus website. But what do I do now to replace LineageOS with the stock ROM?

    Any advice appreciated. Thank you

Received text from fiancee that she did not send

    Posted: 24 Jul 2019 06:54 PM PDT

I was wondering if anyone can shed some light on this situation. I'm texting my fiancee about meeting my friend tomorrow because he can't make it to a BBQ on Friday. She texts me back saying I hope you have a good day at work and I wonder if anyone besides us are going to the bbq. I asked her why she said to have a nice day at work when she knows I'm at home. I sent her the screenshot of the text conversation. She said she never sent that. This is really creeping me out and I wonder if this has happened to anyone or what should I do?

We're both on OnePlus though not sure if that matters

How's your OnePlus 7 experience so far?

    Posted: 24 Jul 2019 03:03 PM PDT

I haven't been following Android for about 3 years now. Currently I'm on the iPhone 7 Plus with iOS 13 Dev Beta (and it's running fine). Considering upgrading to the OnePlus 7. Reason for it is that after a while of being on iOS I am still feeling limited in what it can do for me, and I gave up hoping that Apple will turn the iPhone into more of a real computer for power users.

I'm seeing a lot of posts on this subreddit complaining about issues with basic things like fingerprint sensor not working well, screen often coming on in the pocket, auto brightness being crap, phone randomly heating up, push notifications not working with screen off. Some people even report having to restart their 6T multiple times a day to get it working well. I can't believe this stuff still happens in 2019?? I've been browsing the iPhone related subreddits for a while and haven't seen these kinds of reports (even on the dev beta version of iOS) as often as I do here.

    (1) My first question is - how is the OnePlus 7 generally? Should I expect basic stuff like the above to be working normally? Are those reports the exception rather than the rule? Is it good enough to run as a main device/daily driver? I really don't want to have to fiddle with things too much just to get basic functionality working.

    (2) Secondly, how is the battery life? Specifically, can you reliably predict how much battery you will have after normal use?

I remember back in the day, battery life on my Android device would be so unpredictable I couldn't leave the house without taking a backup battery because sometimes the phone would heat up in the pocket and lose 90% of its charge in 30 minutes, or the GPS would stay on forever and kill the battery, or some rogue app would freak out and wakelock for 7h straight. Other days the phone would work just fine and the battery would last 2 days. I had to tinker with Greenify, disabling apps, installing custom ROMs, custom kernels (franco/ak/etc...), IO schedulers, then back to stock, etc to try and fix the issues. I definitely won't be spending any time tinkering with things like that now.

    Thanks for your input!

Any features that I'll missed out badly if I opt to buy the regular OP7 instead on OP7 pro?

    Posted: 24 Jul 2019 06:39 PM PDT

The OP7 8/256 will cost me around $508 while the OP7 Pro 6/128 will cost me $645.

    Thoughts?

How can I get the back glass off

    Posted: 24 Jul 2019 10:42 AM PDT

My back glass cracked, which is frustrating because I have been extraordinarily careful with this phone, I think it may be because of a defect in my case. Either way, I ordered a replacement. What's the best way to go about applying it

    Edit: 7 pro

Is it me or has anyone else's OnePlus 7 pro camera randomly pop up and pop back down

    Posted: 24 Jul 2019 09:06 AM PDT

I booted up my OnePlus 7 pro and I went to one application such as Kik and I didn't know where the pop up camera popped up and pop back down. Is this common?

OP7P - Keep accidentally hanging up when trying to unlock my phone while on calls - any advice?

    Posted: 24 Jul 2019 12:20 PM PDT

Due to the placement of the fingerprint sensor and the end call button, I struggle to unlock my phone when in the middle of a call. If I need to pull up another app or anything that requires me to unlock my phone, it's a delicate game of placing my thumb on the sensor to unlock the phone without accidentally hanging up once I unlock it.

Do you have any advice for this, or are there any apps to modify your call screen that you guys use? Thanks!

Exact same picture with native camera and Google camera. All settings auto, no post processing, OnePlus 5T. Difference is crazy.

Question: Do you use "Lite" version of apps?

    Posted: 24 Jul 2019 09:23 AM PDT

I use the FB Lite and it's Messenger Lite app, even though I have a 6T.

Do any of you use a "Lite" version of an app?

Can we please talk about how good is the included case on the OnePlus 7 Pro?

    Posted: 24 Jul 2019 02:22 AM PDT

It's the best clear case I've ever tried.

It adds a lot of grip, it's strong and the buttons work flawlessly.

And although it will become yellow overtime, it's taking much longer to get yellow than any other case I've ever had.

    Thank you OnePlus

Oneplus 7 Pro stuck on "Checking for updates..."

    Posted: 24 Jul 2019 02:41 PM PDT

Hi, I received my OP7 pro in the mail today, and it won't get past the "checking for updates" part of setup. I've let it sit on that for half an hour connected to a fast wifi network, restarted, recovery mode, etc. but nothing seems to work.

There's no option to skip the step even when I walk away from any wifi networks.

Does anyone know of a solution or will I have to return the phone to oneplus?

Any GCam mods for the 5T that work without any issues?

    Posted: 24 Jul 2019 02:26 PM PDT

The camera is the thing that bothers me most about the phone, and GCam changed the camera so much on my 6T, so I'm trying to find a similar mod to improve the camera on my 5T, but every one I've tried so far gives me issues such as black viewfinder, laggy viewfinder, red bars, etc.

Are there any mods that work without issues?

New OP7P - YouTube causing a weird noise and a reboot

    Posted: 24 Jul 2019 02:16 PM PDT

I have this problem I can't find anyone else having. Specifically when using YouTube about 5/6 seconds into a video and the phone freezes, makes this horrible buzzing noise and then reboots...

Anyone else have this problem? Is my phone defective?

I've seen people talk about their phones randomely rebooting but this isn't random, it's easily reproduceable.

OnePlus 7 Pro freezing then displaying white screen

    Posted: 24 Jul 2019 08:03 AM PDT

Once every few days while I am using my OP7 pro, oftentimes right when I'm plugging in my phone to the charger, the phone will freeze and a few seconds later go completely white. The only way to fix this is to do a hard reset. Anyone else seeing this bug?
