4 Quick Tl;Dr Android Game Reviews / Recommendations (Episode 111) Posted: 05 Jul 2019 02:04 PM PDT Welcome back, mobile gaming connoisseurs, to this weekly mobile gaming recommendation thread based on the games I have played last week. This week, I've played Valve's first mobile game, a new large offline-playable rpg shooter, a shoot'em'up bullet-hell arcade game, and a casual monster-bashing RPG perfect for 2-3 minute play-sessions. Disagree with my opinion? Let's have a friendly discussion below. New to these posts? Check out the first one from 111 weeks ago here. The games are "ranked" somewhat subjectively from best to worst, so take the ranking for what it is. Let's jump in!:Micro RPG [Game Size: 114 MB] (free)Genre: RPG / Casual – Offline Playable Orientation: Portrait Required Attention: Some tl;dr review: Micro RPG is a simple casual RPG with short 2-3 minute play-sessions, but without sacrificing the feeling of actually playing an RPG; so there's plenty of monster bashing, loot gathering, and equipment enhancing! We control our character with just a single tap on the screen as we attempt to bash all monsters before they get to us, using out 3 different weapons. The monetization is perfectly relaxed, with no energy system, no forced ads, and no real reason to buy iAPs except to grow stronger a bit faster. I'm excited to see where the indie developer will take this game in the next few months! Google Play: Here YouTube First Impressions / Review: Here Dota Underlords [Game Size: 669 MB] (free)Genre: Strategy / Auto Chess - Requires Online Access Orientation: Landscape Required Attention: Full tl;dr review: Dota Underlords is Valve's entry into the "auto chess" genre of strategy games, and while the core gameplay is as good as the competition, the UI looks like something from a 2012 mobile game (needlessly large buttons, sliders etc.), and it's clear that the game could use a few extra months of development. The nearly cel-shaded graphics make the units we deploy really "pop" though, and despite the lack of features, the game offers a decent experience for Dota fans who dislike Drodo's Auto Chess game. If you're new to the genre and have to pick a single auto chess game, I would either wait for Underlords to be more developed, or play Auto Chess. Google Play: Here YouTube First Impressions / Review: Here Bad 2 Bad: Extinction [Total Game Size: 177 MB] (free)Genre: RPG / Shooter / Action – Offline Playable Orientation: Landscape Required Attention: Full tl;dr review: It's impossible to truly put a genre tag on Bad 2 Bad: Extinction, but it lands somewhere in that RPG-Action-Shooter zone, and the gameplay is truly unique, offering one of the larger offline-playable experiences of this kind on mobile. The game has us head into one of multiple areas that each have their maps randomly generated every time we enter. Once there, our goal is to complete side-missions to acquire gold and new weapons until we eventually uncover the main mission, and at the end successfully escape before nighttime comes around and makes the monsters much stronger. Using a left-side joystick, we control a group of soldiers as we explore each open-world map, shooting manually or automatically at incoming enemies. The monetization focuses primarily on cosmetics, with a few iAPs giving us extra backpack slots, auto gold and diamond pickups features, and extra grenade damage. Google Play: Here YouTube First Impressions / Review: Here Boom Pilot [Total Game Size: 136 MB] (free)Genre: Shoot'em'up / Bullet Hell / Oldschool - Offline Playable Orientation: Portrait Required Attention: Full tl;dr review: Boom Pilot is a new oldschool shoot'em'up bullet-hell-like game with a simple art style fun animations and a great control scheme (when avoiding bullets, try flicking the screen to see your plane literally throwing itself in any direction very quickly). There's only a few planes and a single campaign game-mode at the moment, which is currently the game's main drawback. An endless-mode would be perfect. Overall, the game feels great to play, the soundtrack is neat, and the monetization focuses on skippable video ads that can be removed through a single $5 iAP to support the indie developer. Google Play: Here YouTube First Impressions / Review: Here Google Sheet of all games I've played so far (searchable and filter-able): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bf0OxtVxrboZqyEh01AxJYUUqHm8tEfh-Lx-SugcrzY/edit?usp=sharing TL;DR Video Summary (with gameplay) of last week's 4 games: https://youtu.be/EbLF68jYoD0 [link] [comments]
Stardew Valley on sale for 25% off Posted: 05 Jul 2019 06:31 PM PDT
Posted: 05 Jul 2019 01:33 PM PDT Hi! I haven't posted for some time, but here I would like to invite you to try new version of my game. what is ranDungeon? To:dr It's an action hack n slash game with random dungeons, items, etc. Gameplay here: https://youtu.be/OmZuAy8eX8A Interested in further info? Ok :) Right now newest update brings: -Totally new graphics for everything - everything is redesigned and use great graphics made by an artist. -gamepad support, you can play using Bluetooth gamepad (personally I do own one model so it might not be compatible with all brands and models) -countless little features and changes that would take me hours to list, but you can read them on game's fb For comparison, old graphics screenshots are still on game's Google play page so you can compare how big is the progress :) What's game highlights? -randomly generated dungeons of various types -randomly generated items with textures being created on the fly by the game, so every item is different. -highscores, but it's optional though you can play totally offline -three character classes with unique skills and items -game has no ads, and no iaps! It has ton of features, listing all of them makes no sense here, some of them unique like ability to draw your own custom sprites for character or skins for weapons directly in game! -im actively adding new features, monsters and tweaks requested by players (there's very few of them though, players I mean) Download link here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.raszopg.randungeon I hope at least some of you will enjoy the game, meanwhile I'm here to answer any possible question you may have :) [link] [comments]
