Keeping or returning your 7 Pro? Posted: 29 May 2019 12:58 PM PDT I'm about 8 days in to my 15 day return window so I started thinking if I'd keep it or return it. I was about 50/50 today and then it hit me how great this device is for the cost. I paid about $670 total for the 8/256 in nebula blue from OP directly. If I returned I'd be out $10 shipping plus $20 or so more to ship back to them. So I'd get roughly $640 back. In my opinion there's not a phone out there for this price brand new that is a better value. Even with it's not so amazing camera. I know it's perfectly capable in good light and the dev community is awesome and will get a near fully functioning gcam soon. The screen, the build, the little OP/oxygen touches, fluidity, extremely fast FP sensor all make this device pretty awesome. I suppose I could still change my mind as you have 30 days from the date you request your rma to get the device in their hands but I don't see that happening because I couldn't find a similar device for anywhere near this price. I guess some might argue the Pixel 3A XL but this just feels so much better. Those on the fence I highly encourage you to give this device a try. I have every flagship for the past 5 years almost and this one really does stand out. What is everyone else doing? Keeping or returning? [link] [comments]
PSO to all you guys out there about cheap charge cables Posted: 29 May 2019 11:10 AM PDT So I just had a cheap USB C cable short out in my charging port and start melting it. I think I caught it soon enough to prevent any serious damage but don't have my dash charger to confirm that that feature still works. It does still charge normally. However, I am not able to test extended charging or Dash Charging at this time until later in the day. Let my stupidity be a lesson for you guys. I broke a personal rule and used a cheap USB C cable laying around at work and now I may have to replace my charging port (thankfully they are pretty cheap) [link] [comments]
How's the new and improved haptic motor on the OnePlus 7 Pro? Posted: 29 May 2019 02:09 PM PDT I haven't got a chance yet to try the phone out at my local store, so I thought asking a bunch of internet people would suffice. - I remember that people used to complain about the OnePlus haptic motor, and still did until the 6T, however I haven't seen any reports of the new motor on any website/video. Is it like the Pixel's haptic motor? I'm not expecting iPhone's Taptic motor, but maybe Pixel, or at least better than Samsung's? [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 May 2019 05:48 PM PDT Let's gather some battery stats, so post your battery life here (screen brightness level + screenshots with SOT and app usage preferred) and say what refresh rate and resolution you're using. Let's see what everyone's getting [link] [comments]

OnePlus 7 Pro Stuttery Navigation Gestures? Posted: 29 May 2019 03:06 PM PDT I notice this kind of thing a lot and I'm running 90hz but when I swipe to go home from some apps it's not as responsive as I'd like, either it freezes for half a sec closing, or it glitches a bit, etc Anyone have any tips to fix this? They seem more stuttery on .5 animations than 1x, but still don't seem 100% smooth on 1x either [link] [comments]
[CAN] OnePlus 7 Pro tempered glass screen protector (full screen adhesive) Posted: 29 May 2019 04:00 PM PDT https://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B07RK9844Y Bought the above screen protector off Amazon.ca and just finished applying it on. The screen quality looks perfect still, and because of the liquid full adhesive application process, there's no bubbles or dust at all (as long as you follow the instructions properly). The fingerprint scanner works perfectly too still. I've wasted some money in the past couple weeks buying glass screen protectors that aren't full adhesive (only stick on the curved edges) and they've been garbage - kept falling off or making creaking noises when touched. This one is exactly what I needed, and I've noticed other people on this sub have been looking for something like this too. [link] [comments]
Increase gesture navigation target area on 7 pro? Posted: 29 May 2019 06:34 AM PDT I was using fluid NG, but I really like OnePlus native gestures, except for how tiny the activation target area is. I have to use the edge of my finger and even then it can take a few attempts sometimes. [link] [comments]
My OnePlus 7 Pro touch screen stops working for a couple seconds after unplugging it from power. Posted: 29 May 2019 12:47 PM PDT Hey all, have this really bizarre issue where when I unplug my OP7P from any kind of power, be it warp charging, regular USB, etc, the touch screen stops taking input for a couple seconds and buffers them until the screen is "ready". IE, if I have a video playing, the video will continue to play, but the touch screen will not react for a little bit until it's ready. And then it will do all of the touches I queued during the freeze really quickly. Does anyone have this issue? Can't seem to find anyone on XDA/OP Forums with the issue. Really hoping it's software, I've had the issue since I bought the phone and I've updated from 9.5.3 to 9.5.6 since. Not sure what to do. [link] [comments]
Is there a step by step guide for how to get Google daydream to work for the 7 pro? Posted: 29 May 2019 12:35 PM PDT I've never rooted an Android before and it looks like that's required for daydream compatibility. Anyone who had successfully gotten VR to work on the 7 pro and can lead me to a good resource would be appreciated. [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 May 2019 03:07 PM PDT Those who upgrade to official Pie earlier this week, does the Swift Black substratum theme work fine on Pie? And also does Ozone for black notifications work on Pie since it has not been updated since Oreo. [link] [comments]
Oneplus 7 Pro lift to wake and tap to wake not working. Posted: 29 May 2019 02:55 PM PDT I've had a 7 pro for a couple of days now and all of a sudden lift to wake and tap to wake stopped working. Basically the only way I can turn on the screen is to press the power button which is really annoying to do sometimes with such a big phone. Before anyone asks, yes lift to wake and tap to wake are turned on in the settings. Anyone had similar problems or know how to fix it? [link] [comments]

Op7 Can't receive MMS on Verizon Posted: 29 May 2019 02:53 PM PDT Cannot receive or send MMS. Normal texts work fine, and didn't have the call issues. Updated to lastest oxygen release today, and my Verizon account is non-CDMA provisiondled. Anyone else having this issue? [link] [comments]
Screen issues for 4 days, no support Posted: 29 May 2019 11:49 AM PDT I had my worries about getting support. This is the first Oneplus phone I've had. Apple is overpriced but gotta admit the convenience of walking into an Apple store. Been having screen issues and support hasn't gotten back to me in 3 days. Anyone else in the US having issues with support? [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 May 2019 07:56 AM PDT USA user. I'm currently deciding between the 8/256 6T or the 8 or 12/256 7Pro. I have a few ???'s & hoping y'all can help. I have both AT&T and Verizon service (OTR trucker), this gives me service just about anywhere I need it, and 22GB/75GB of data b4 any throttling. I am buying from the 1+ site direct.
I'm sure I have few more ???'s, but they ship my mind at the moment and I gotta get rolling. TiA [link] [comments]

7 Pro - shipping address on shipment email is different than my order page Posted: 29 May 2019 09:54 AM PDT Just got shipment email along with tracking number, City and State in the shipping address from the shipment email is wrong, also missing company name, checked tracking number on FEDEX, destination city and state is the one on my order page which is correct, also called FEDEX customer service to verify the whole address, and it is correct. had live chat with oneplus as well, they told me need not to worry as it will deliver to the correct address. i am still worry and nervous. Did anyone experience the same issue in the past? [link] [comments]
OnePlus... The camera... An easy fix? Posted: 29 May 2019 03:31 PM PDT Working with a 48mp sensor at the back is a dream come true but it's so disappointing. It's not awful, infact far from it, yet Oxygen OS is regarded as one of the greatest softwares but the software for the camera and image enhancement screams mediocrity. Maybe it's not an easy fix but it seems like the potential is wasted. [link] [comments] |
