    Posted: 16 May 2019 07:34 AM PDT

I'm one of 50 (lucky) people who managed to get a "Oneplus Epic Collector Edition".

OnePlus partnered up with a Danish e-commerce shop ProShop for an exclusive collaboration. On may 9th they held a "blind-sale" for an exclusive "Oneplus 7 Epic Collectors Edition".

the page for the phone is still up.

    The page (roughly) translates to:

"We have an exclusive offer to you, who loves OnePlus and can't wait to have the new top model OnePlus 7 Pro in your hands.

Get it before anyone else. If you buy the OnePlus Epic Collectors Edition before the reveal event on the 14. May, then you'll have the phone on the 16. May – days before the official launch.

OnePlus Epic Collectors Edition is the ultimate solution for you, who loves OnePlus products. The box does not only include OnePlus 7 Pro, but also a lot of secret gifts, which provides you with an experience and value – Beyond the usual, pure pampering!

But you must be quick. The secret box is limited, and will only be sold in 50 copies, exclusively at Proshop."

The price for this edition was 6999 DKK, which is about 935 euro or 1050 USD (for reference a 12 gb 256 gb Nebula Blue is priced at 6399 kr, or 855 euro / 960 USD).

It came in a black box, and the following contents were in the box:

    - The 12 GB ram, 256 GB storage Nebula Blue, OnePlus 7 Pro

    - OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2

Oneplus 7 Pro supports 15w PD

    Posted: 16 May 2019 09:48 AM PDT

    Per their live AMA today:

" The OnePlus 7 Pro supports 5V3A standard of Power Delivery. The phones support most of the LTE bands. "

I know this was mentioned earlier as a possibility, but we can confirm it now.

Couple Things I Don't Like About the 7 Pro

    Posted: 16 May 2019 07:23 AM PDT

Right off the bat, the Finger Print Sensor. Coming from the OP6 I just don't understand the under the screen hype. It's just not nearly as fast as the OP6. I know people will say it'll quicken with time but I believe you're just compromising. Not a deal breaker though. A plus is it's nice to not use the swipe/pin to unlock the phone when it's on the table. Just a tap to wake and hold finger to unlock.

The other is the curve on the screen. After an evening and morning with the phone the glare is easily getting a bit annoying. I'm constantly fidgeting the perspective of the screen to rid of the glare on the edges. Not so bad at night or in incandescent lighting but office light/daylight is the real culprit.

Everything else is really nice. I'll try to see what my normal daily use is like on the battery. I'm a 100% brightness guy except when I'm in bed. Don't play games but a ton of reading, browsing, music playing and moderate youtubing.

How much better is the camera on the OP7Pro from the OP5?

    Posted: 16 May 2019 11:44 AM PDT

I have an OP5 from 2 years ago. I'm reading a lot of mixed reviews regarding the camera. I know that the separate specs are nicely rated, but in regards to practicality, it just seemed decent?

How does it compare to the competitors and phone cameras 2 years ago?

I have an iPhone XS, but the 7 Pro is the first android that’s stood out to me. Do I buy?

    Posted: 16 May 2019 12:05 PM PDT

Anyone got an opinion on this? The main thing I'll miss is the iOS. How is Oxygen OS, and how are media apps such as snapchat, instagram and Facebook on android? Thanks

Let me guess, there won’t be a 7t pro later this year, instead it will be a 7 pro 5g version

One Plus 7 Pro, Galaxy S10E, or Pixel 3a

    Posted: 16 May 2019 04:11 PM PDT

I know it's a slightly off assortment of choices, but at the moment I'm debating between these three. Currently have an S8 but want something better. I know that I want a good camera, but I feel like that is the only compromise of the 7 Pro. I also feel like the camera is the only perk of the 3a. I also don't like notches or hole punches and I don't know if I could get used to it on the S10E. Any advice on how to choose or any input on which you'd choose?

OnePlus 7 Pro's Zen Mode will make it to the 6T and 6, Nightscape 2.0 won't

    Posted: 15 May 2019 10:20 PM PDT

7 pro in Canada. Definitely buying from USA site.

    Posted: 16 May 2019 11:45 AM PDT

Did the math and I will save $250 for top of the line nebula blue model if I order to the US and bring it across the border. No tax in US and it's over $100 off the price, with the exchange. $1288cdn on Canadian site, $1035cdn on USA site, (current visa exchange rate + 2.5% fee). Thats a 25% surcharge for us Northern folk. Why are they doing this?! Not cool.

Factory Reset and Restore with Switch App

    Posted: 16 May 2019 02:47 PM PDT

Hey, I am currently thinking about reseting my OP6T because the battery life has become real bad (in comparison to when I got the device. Like 7+h SOT with 1,5-2 Days usage, now only 3-4h and dead after 12 hours. )

I want to know if it is possible or if it is enough when I just select clear system, app data and settings in the restore menu. So the internal storage is not deleted. Then I can easily restore the backup from the switch app which should still in the internal storage?

Eyeing the 7pro (coming from an S8): is it true that 1+ phones age very well?

    Posted: 16 May 2019 08:18 AM PDT

    Hi guys,

I've been using Samsung phones since the S3. Not because of brand loyalty but simply because they were always the most complete package, no glaring flaws. I've been rocking a S8 for almost two years but several things are starting to annoy me: battery life is significantly worse than before, sometimes the screen turns black and requires a reboot and the overall experience doesn't feel premium anymore (the phone feels slower, I experience signal losses etc.)

Something that really annoys with Samsung phones is the way they age. A year later the phone always feels slower, with random issues like battery drain. I'd like to try something else, even if it means getting something a bit less complete than the Samsung flagship and the 7pro fits the bill. One of the big arguments in favour of the 7pro over, say, the S10 is that I've often heard that 1+ phones age very, very well. I'd like to check with you guys if that claim is true and if I can expect a 7pro to feel 98% as fast a year from the day I buy it.

    Thanks for your input guys

What do you think about the camera of the OP 7 Pro?

    Posted: 16 May 2019 11:34 AM PDT

I heard very conflicting reports. On the one hand there is the DxOMark score of 111, which theoretically puts it on par with the S10 and P30 Pro. I know that DxOMark is controversial though. Then there are some reviewers who say that it's just an average camera, which would be disappointing. Others say that in some situations it's even better than the S10 (low light) or P30 Pro (HDR). It's obviously not as good as the other phones when it comes to zooming or wide-angle. I personally don't care about the front camera or video recording.

Do you think it will be able to at least somewhat catch up with the other phones once software updates come out or alternatively by using GCam?

Debating between 8 gb vs. 12 gb of RAM

    Posted: 16 May 2019 07:30 PM PDT

Been a Galaxy S8 user for two years (with only 4 gb of RAM lol) and now ready to upgrade to a OP7 Pro. AFAIK OP is one of the only companies that offers a phone with 12 gb - but is spending the extra $50 worth it in getting that configuration?

I don't even know if Android can utilize the extra RAM significantly, or if performance will be any more than just a marginal improvement. Any input would be greatly appreciated :)

    Dash Charge with OnePlus7 Pro

    Posted: 16 May 2019 09:42 AM PDT

Does anyone know if I will be able to use the Dash Charge cable/charger from the OnePlus 3T on the OnePlus 7 Pro?

Without risk of damaging the battery or anything like that. Its because I already have a cable/charge on my house, work and girlfriend house, and I dont want to buy 3 new Warp ones to change them.

    Thanks!

    OnePlus 7 Pro 6gb vs 8gb

Would those magnetic cables interfere with warp charging?

    Posted: 16 May 2019 03:54 PM PDT

I work in a dirty environment and my USB-C port always fills up with dust and is a pain to get to charge. Would getting one of those cables that just attaches magnetically to a plug you leave in your phone negatively effect the charging or damage anything?

Off-topic: how long before bluetooth earphone catch up with wired headphone?

    Posted: 16 May 2019 07:59 PM PDT

Background: I own oneplus bullet, qcy t1c, hd58x. Also, I have lg g7 and pocof1 on hand (just sold oneplus 6t due to a bill due, so sad). I can tell the difference from wired vs wireless. However, I really like the mobility of wireless headphone. Just pure curiosity, how far is Bluetooth audio technology so far? Moreover, how is the new bullet? Thank y'all and have a good day.

Help! My OP6 freezes randomly frequently

    Posted: 16 May 2019 07:28 PM PDT

As the title says, freezes but anything being displayed still shows normally: videos still play, status bar icons still change, clock still runs and even audio still plays normally. However, both hardware and software buttons don't work and touch input is not recognized at all. If I don't force shut down the phone, it will restart after a while automatically. What even is this?

I just wanted to see if anyone also has this problem and/or knows what causes it and knows how to fix it. I suspect maybe it's SystemUI crashing?

Edit: Sometimes the display freezes too (everything is static)
