I've spent several years now -wasting my time re- correcting spelling errors made by the predictive text on my Apple iphone 6. It's INTENSELY frustrating to have really common words like 'an' or 'to' for example misspelled and it's got to the point where I automatically factor in the down time for such basic corrections in what I'm doing. Because I bought the phone (6 plus) second hand- there's no warranty I can fall back on! And why should I have to anyway? Also, when I do make a correction, I've noticed there's a pattern. First I have to very carefully position the cursor one letter ahead of the error, than ever so carefully go back one space to delete the letter ( yes, the blue shading does appear like they say it would),then make the correction.. REALLY?!?! We can put a man on the moon but I'm saddled with this corrupted system that wreaks havoc on my time? End of rant but am I the only one who's ended up in this position?
