Notifications dissapear after couple of seconds Posted: 30 Apr 2019 08:21 PM PDT Just got a redmi note 7 and when a notification pops up it appears on the left of the notch, stays a couple of seconds and disappears, it seems to happen with all apps. I did enable notifications on both the phone settings and in the apps settings. Any suggestions? [link] [comments]
How do I adjust the size of the home screen icons and text? Posted: 30 Apr 2019 08:12 PM PDT I'm using a Redmi Note 7 with MIUI 10 and I want to make the icons and text bigger [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Apr 2019 10:25 PM PDT In reviews I'm seeing 7+ hours of screen on time for the mi 9, I barely get four hours without any gaming, and dark mode turned off along with Bluetooth off, any suggestions? [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Apr 2019 03:09 PM PDT I got a Redmi Note 5 AI Global Version. I'm trying to root the device, so I went ahead and tried to unlock the bootloader with the given "Mi Unlock" tool. It is asking me to wait for 360 freaking hours. Is there some functioning workaround to this day? Or is waiting 15 days my only option? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Mi A2 isn't charging when plugged in and starts shaking Posted: 30 Apr 2019 05:20 PM PDT The phone is not charging. I tried restarting, tried charging while its off, and nothing. The back (where I suppose the battery is) is buzzing and shaking while it is plugged in. This is concerning, what do I do? What do I do when it dies? [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Apr 2019 01:43 PM PDT My RN5 has a setting to turn on glove mode, which claims to "Make screen extra responsive to pressure". At first I was skeptical so I tried it, covered my finger with my jumper and tried to touch the screen to no response but then I turn on glove mode and it works perfectly, admittedly you do need to press harder than usual but it was still really interesting to me. Does anyone know how exactly it works? [link] [comments]
Mi 9: Does the EU version have ads? Posted: 29 Apr 2019 10:21 PM PDT I currently own a OnePlus 6 and consider switching to the Mi 9. But the fact that it displays ads everywhere is a real reason for me to not buy that phone at all. I know how to root, mod and flash Custom ROMs, but that should not be the point of this post: I live in Germany and could easily buy the EU version of the Mi 9. But I've read conflicting stories about the EU version displaying ads. So I'm hoping for the reddit community to settle this: Does the EU version of the Mi 9 display ads out of the box? I would use the Mi 9 with English language and the region set to Germany, if that matters. Thank you all in advance for your help and comments! [link] [comments]
Mi 8 Lite top of screen greasy Posted: 30 Apr 2019 02:38 PM PDT Hi, I received my new mi 8 lite yesterday from Hong Kong Goldway on Aliexpress and it is perfectly functional so far. The only problem is that the top ~1/5 of the screen is extremely greasy. There is a distinct border between the greasy part (which is very prone to fingerprints) and the rest of the screen. It's not a very big problem but the fingerprints bother me and I'm starting to be worried my unit is defective. I have tried cleaning my phone with several different types of cloths and small amounts of water and glasses cleaner fluid and the problem persists. Is this a problem anyone else has experienced? Poco F1 screen retention (ghosting, temporarily burning?) Posted: 30 Apr 2019 04:56 PM PDT Hi, i bought Poco in August. I was really satisfied until like a month Ago. I was watching YT stream for around 30min, then i switched to messenger and saw that weird red Strip with "Live" text. Since this i noticed issues with screen retention. I know It's usual on IPS displays but this much? 7-8months i had no problem with my screen and suddenly this. Like, i have openen mesenger for 5min, i'm writing to someone. Then i switch to YouTube and i can see ghosting of Google Board? My Brightnes is normally on like 40%-60%. Is there some software fix, like pixels cleaning or should i sent phone to warranty(i will have to wait about month smh) Thanks, have a Nice day :) [link] [comments]

MI 9 SE, gcam port slow on night sight Posted: 30 Apr 2019 10:14 AM PDT Is there any port for the gcam that actually works with night sight? The actual port I found it is painfully slow and I would want to Give this phone a chance before buying an actual pixel. [link] [comments]
How bad is Instagram stories on MI9? Posted: 30 Apr 2019 03:33 PM PDT I've seen some people in this sub saying that Instagram stories are pretty bad on MI 9 (or maybe all mi series?) so I'd like to get your thoughts on that. Is it that bad? Can any of you post a comparison of the camera photo and the uploaded version of it? I am thinking about getting a MI 9 but since I crate some content for brands on Instagram and unfortunately that is very important at the moment. [link] [comments]

Posted: 30 Apr 2019 11:45 AM PDT Buying an electric shaver for the first time off AliExpress and trying to decide between the Xiaomi Mija and the Xiaomi SO White. The former is 10 euros extra. Is there any difference that makes the Mija better or is it purely aesthetic? [link] [comments]
Wondering about M365 folding reinforcement Posted: 30 Apr 2019 11:42 AM PDT Hi everyone! I got my M365 couple of weeks ago and so far I have only been using the spacer to stop any kind of sway and hopefully vibration damage and that got me wondering - how many of you have actually done any kind of switches or reinforcements to it? I've seen that there's both the stainless steel replacements and the Falcon lock block but I have no idea if it's actually worth investing in any of them or will the spacer work just fine [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Apr 2019 11:46 PM PDT Hi, is there like an easier way to change between sim for mobile data?, instead going thru options. Using note 7 btw [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Apr 2019 04:09 AM PDT I have a question. On my old phone I had 4 sliders for sounds. Calling, notification, media and alarms. On my mi mix 3 I miss the fourth slider. I always wear a smartwatch so I want to see notifications but not hear them. How should I do this? I do want to hear phonecalls though. [link] [comments]

Keep Pixel 2 XL or get Xiaomi Mi 9 Posted: 30 Apr 2019 11:24 AM PDT Or wait for Pixel 4 / OnePlus 7 Pro? Things making me want to stick with Pixel; camera, front firing speakers, stock Android for updates. Reasons for Xiaomi; SD 855, more RAM, gcam port, cheap, wireless charging, cheap. Oh and cheap. Well, compared to anything else with an 855. Or should I just stick to Pixel, and wait for the 4, or see what the OP7 is like? [link] [comments]
Problems checking in to EV charging station with NFC Posted: 30 Apr 2019 11:03 AM PDT I have a Mix 2, and I have just recently purchased an EV (VW e-Golf). I tried using a public charging station yesterday. The Chargepoint app says to simply tap your phone on the station (NFC area is clearly marked) and it will check you in. It never recognizes my phone. Fortunately you can check in on the app and it contacts the station via Internet to allow you to charge. But I'd really like to have the app working. NFC is enabled and tap-to-pay works flawlessly with my bank's app. Is there some setting I need to adjust or something? [link] [comments]

Redmi Note 7 display responsiveness Posted: 30 Apr 2019 03:15 AM PDT Hey guys, Ive just bought Redmi Note 7 for replacing my old Redmi Note 4. Almost everything is better, but the display seems to have some wierd responsiveness issues. Iam not sure if its touchscreen or display, but scrolling on this phone is terrible. When I scroll I cant almost read any letters. Iam very dissapointed, my display is acting like it had 30hz refresh rate. Iam really thinking about returning the device. Has anyone experienced something simillar? Thanks in advance. [link] [comments] |
