As I'm Romanian and there's no global version I'll just get the Chinese one like everyone else. My question is: would there be any support for custom ROMs on this phone like all of the other redmi series considering the no global support? I really like the phone's look and I'm mainly trying to replace my current one (mi mix 2s) for the awful battery life (for some reason big battery flagships are something impossible for every manufacturer). Is it possible to flash the global ROM with Mi flash/fastboot and relock the bootloader? When I take a photo on the front camera Instagram or Messenger it will delay a second or two before taking the photo, then if I cancel the photo it will show me the photo without the delay. Posted: 02 Apr 2019 09:36 AM PDT My RN4 is almost 2 years old now (out of warranty) and the headphone jack is loose even after cleaning it. So I figured it's time to replace it. But the Mi service support told me that they have to replace the entire motherboard which costs the equivalent of $50 (labour and tax not included) and my touch screen replacement would (just the top glass, LCD is fine) is another $50. Anyone DIYed it yourselves? Can you point me in any tutorial to replace the headphone jack? Can you also link where you got the parts from? [link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 02 Apr 2019 10:09 AM PDT After reading that the A2's March Update doesn't have any major issues(LTE defaults not withstanding), I have another wave of interest in this phone, and therefore: 1) Can someone give me a list of all the major bugs found in updates since Pie dropped? EDIT:And list which of those updates bricked phones 2) Is there any confirmation that the eMMC bug on the 64GB(and possibly 32GB) phones has been fixed or will be fixed? The 128GB version is much more expensive here(Romania), because it's not stocked by the major retailers and then get discounted into oblivion. 3) Does this phone support Widevine L1? What about the Redmi Note 7?(use DRM Info from the play store to check) EDIT: 4) How do the speaker and stock USBC-to-Headphone sound? Does the phone have a built-in DAC? | Xiaomi Notebook Pro - No Sound Posted: 02 Apr 2019 01:42 PM PDT So , I have the Xiaomi Notebook Pro for the last 12 months and last month the Sound stoped. The problem started with some strange noises that came out from the speakers even if I didn't play anything and I had to disconnect the cable of the speakers from the motherboard to stop this bad noise. After a while I connected the cable back to check if it's continue and the speakers stoped working , and I know it's not only the speakers as I can't even use the headphones so I'm guessing it's a bad problem in the sound card on the motherboard. I've tried to uninstall the drivers and reinstall them and it didn't fixed the problem. In my country there's no support for the notebook and I can't figure out what do do. Meanwhile I'm using a Bluetooth speakers but it's good only when I'm at home. Is there something I can do? I have good hands and I can fix stuff but I'm guessing that the sound card can't be fixed . Maybe there a way I can but somewhere a new motherboard? I got the pc from seller in Ebay and I can't ask him nothing as it pass it's 3 months warranty. Any advice will be great. As I installed Messenger I immediately turned on chat heads as this feature is amazing, but now I get the notifications twice.
