Samsung devices have a lockdown mode Posted: 02 Apr 2019 01:47 PM PDT So my Samsung Galaxy smartphone has a feature i recently found called lockdown mode. I don't know how long it's been there but it seems to be very useful. When you press the button, the biometrics are disabled, notifications are automatically cleared and smart lock is disabled. This feature could be useful when approached by the police in the US or if other people are attempting to access your device. This is what the button looks like: https://imgur.com/a/aUtgFUZ [link] [comments]

Feature Request: Google Keyboard should keep the punctuation in predictive text in the same spot Posted: 02 Apr 2019 05:53 PM PDT Sometimes the ? is the first suggestion. Other times its the second suggestion. All the times I hit the wrong one. [link] [comments]

Android cameras for astrophotography - the Huawei P30 Pro photographs the sky Posted: 02 Apr 2019 08:17 PM PDT With image stacking and night mode improving with the P30 Pro, it could improve usability for casual astrophotography. Casual photos could see a drastic change - many more photos of sky and the milky way. Here is the only video I could find that shows results for photographing the sky using the P30: Here is a general video showing indoor enhancement of night shots: [link] [comments]

How have you automated your phone? Posted: 02 Apr 2019 04:41 PM PDT I've been using Trigger for a couple of years now, and it's been great at turning off my ringer when I get to work, etc. However, I feel like this and other process automation apps have way more potential than I'm using. How have you used apps like Trigger, Automate, or Tasker? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jwsoft.nfcactionlauncher [link] [comments]
How to keep using Inbox until bundles moves to gmail Posted: 02 Apr 2019 10:55 AM PDT The power of bundles is too great for me to leave. What I did:
Voila! It will forever be in the update list so make sure not to update it in the future, but just like me, you too can hold on to the past until we have a better future! [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Apr 2019 08:40 AM PDT This morning I got a new UI I haven't seen before: https://imgur.com/a/nyo22Ou It seems to work will all the different types of album art, even the animated ones. The genius bar seems to hide at the bottom of the player too. Has anyone else seen/had this UI? I really like it and hope it stays around for good, but knowing Spotify this is probably just a test and will only last a day or two. [link] [comments]
