Samsung Health compatible scales and metrics Posted: 30 Apr 2019 06:33 AM PDT I've been using S Health for about a year now. Recently bought a FitIndex scale to provide some additional details on my body weight and composition. Unfortunately my scale doesn't sync with Samsung. I'm thinking of getting a different scale but not sure if it is worth the effort. Do compatible scales move over anything other than weight and fat %? I'm able to do that manually. Share link to clipboard feature? Posted: 30 Apr 2019 04:10 AM PDT Hi all, I've been using a Note 9 for the last 6 months and I still can't figure out how to copy a link to the clipboard when it's not in text format. For example when you're on the Amazon app and press the share button, it allows you to choose one of the app to share the link to (like WhatsApp, Messages, Facebook etc etc) but there's no option to select "Clipboard". Am I doing something wrong or they just forgot about it? I used to do this a lot with my HTC and it's driving me crazy because I always have to go through another app to get the link as text. Thanks a mill for any help [link] [comments]

I dont thin samsung understand what optional means... Posted: 30 Apr 2019 08:28 AM PDT Just went to activate bixby to shut the stupid notifications off and under the terms 2 of them are "optional" which sre share contacts, messages etc and allow for sharing of marketing data. Left marketing unticked and hit "read and agree to term" lo and behold it rechecks all of them anyway.s Optional my fucking ass. Ooooooh also just noticed theres an option for bixby to automatically turn mic on whenever. That is reallllyy dodgy. [link] [comments]

Gear Iconx C460 won't show up in Bluetooth and when it does, it can't connect Posted: 30 Apr 2019 07:44 AM PDT I got a pair of 2018 Gear from a friend. He said he disconnected it and factory wiped them. They only rarely show up in my Bluetooth menu and when they do they can't connect. Same deal with the Galaxy Wear app. Any way to fix this? They did run fully out of battery so I'm letting them charge but I can't see why that would effect it [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Apr 2019 07:27 AM PDT My wife is coming from the Pixel C to the Tab S5e and wants it to look as much like the C as possible. I am her IT support and currently, I have kept the stock Samsung launcher and installed the google versions of things (mail, browser, keep, etc) and disabled or removed the samsung versions. But I am Launcher-curious. Any suggestions? Experiences? [link] [comments]

What are "all permissions" in the extension of app permission settings with Samsung? Posted: 30 Apr 2019 06:54 AM PDT I'm really not sure what "all permissions" means? I just found it extending off any apps permission list. I'm asking because of a health and fitness app. Regardless of restricting and turning off all permissions I can, the following things stay in the all permissions list. "camera: take pictures and videos at any time" "contacts: read, modify, find accounts on the device" "SD: read the contents of your SD card" "microphone: record audio using the microphone at any time" "sms: read your text messages, send and view, recieve text messages" "control NFC". Seems real janky to me but I want to understand first. [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Apr 2019 07:47 PM PDT Hey guys, I'm looking at using a portable monitor so I can plug my phone into it and use it like a tablet. There's some good 15.6" options out there, but has anyone come across a good 10-13" monitor? Bonus points for one with a battery. I'm having trouble finding something tablet sized. Automatically disable Wi-Fi and enable data on a Galaxy phone? Posted: 30 Apr 2019 03:10 AM PDT Is there a feature on Samsung Galaxy phones (or Android in general) that makes the phone disconnect from your home's Wi-Fi (disables Wi-Fi) when you leave your home and automatically enables 4G? As well as doing the reverse when you come home? A lot of the time when I leave home I end up having Wi-Fi enabled throughout the day alongside 4G and have the same issue when I come home. Is there a way to configure it? I am currently using a Samsung Galaxy A8 with the latest software update. Thanks. [link] [comments]

Samsung Galaxy J7 Star, 3 Months In. (A Kinda Long Review.) Posted: 29 Apr 2019 06:55 PM PDT The Galaxy J7 Star was a replacement for my last budget Samsung, my J7 Prime. This is a phone you can get for around $150. And it's quite good. I've spent three months so far with the Star, and here are my thoughts. Whats different? One thing you'll notice right away is the color, and the weight, and the change of camera. The camera was flipped to be vertical, and the phone has a new metal finish giving it a premium feel. The phone got a few upgrades such as new biometrics, and better cameras, as well as a more HD display. Battery size dropped a little, but in my opinion it's worth it. Even for a budget phone its speedy, and quick. Just dont use more than 5 apps at once, cause that's where things start to struggle. The cameras are great. The Selfie Focus mode on front facing works very nicely, and takes pictures as good as the newest iphone depending on lighting situations. The rear facing camera works even better, capturing lots, and lots of detail, and making vibrant colors. Overall the phone is really great, and a great value. Otherwise, here are some pros, and cons. Pros: -Good Cameras. -Facial Recognition. -Good Multitasker. -Performs Well For a Budget Phone. -Good Price Point. -Nice Display. -Still Has a Headphone Jack. -Hefty Storage. -Comes With Bixby Home. (Not the Actual Bixby.) -Lots Of Configurable Settings. -Lots Of Customizations. Cons: -Facial Recognition Lacks in Some Lowlight Conditions. -Facial Recognition Tends To Be Sluggish. -Doesnt Perform Well With More Than 5 Apps Open. -Cameras Tend To Underperform in Lowlight Conditions. -A Bit of Bloatware. -No Fingetprint Sensor. -Speaker Isnt the Loudest. Conclusion: This phone is my favorite galaxy that I have owned so far. It's just really great. I expect this phone to last me 2 and a 1/2 more years until I have to replace it. Rating: 3.8 out of 5. Would Reccomend: Yes. [link] [comments]
I would like to move the clock on the lock screen to the bottom of the screen. How can I do that? Posted: 30 Apr 2019 02:05 AM PDT I tried googling it but I only found the "go to Apps>Settings>Lock screen & security>Always on display. Select the digital clock then click on clock style (bottom left)>select the face of your choice." advice, but that only changes the style of the clock, not it's position. [link] [comments]
