I built a wallpaper app that takes images from Reddit (+ free promo codes) Posted: 29 Mar 2019 02:39 AM PDT Hi, I built a wallpaper app that takes images from Reddit.Have a look: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=at.ladt.redditwallpapers As many wallpapers apps are either unnecessary complicated, ugly or not working, I built my own. Here are some features and goals of my app: - Easy to use - Scheduling: How often do you want to get your wallpaper changed? This app will change it automatically for you! - Add effects to your wallpaper (Blur, Saturation, Brightness) - Customize your subreddits - Favour images to see them again in the future! - Mark images as 'never show again' if you don't like them I already posted this a few months back and got a punch of great feedback. So I wanted to try it again after I released a new update yesterday. I would love to hear from you!
( Note: You can mark (✓ ) the codes you used! ) THIS IS IT! [link] [comments] |

Suggestions for creating a learning schedule? Posted: 29 Mar 2019 10:00 AM PDT I need to complete a series of self-study courses online and would like to find an app that helps me create and encourages me to stick to a daily schedule. I haven't done any "school" work in like 20 years and am generally lazy af. What are people using these days for stuff like this? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 29 Mar 2019 01:52 AM PDT I am looking for a browser with URL bar at the bottom. I am using Kiwi and there are some things I can't stand. It won't let me accept cookies on some websites so I am locked out of such sites (yet cookies option is enabled in the settings). The big one is that I can't sync bookmarks across other chromium browsers. Any chromium browser suggestions with bottom URL bar? [link] [comments] |
[Dev] I created an app that helps you hire local Services or buy items from Shops near to you Posted: 29 Mar 2019 10:56 AM PDT I built a location based app that shows you services and items that can be Provided or delivered to your home. Playstore Link : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.nearbyshops.enduserappnew TL;DR http://nearbyshops.org Introduction For certain services like AC Repair, Mobile repair we prefer local market over a conventional online market. There are lot of good online markets but only few markets which are focussed on local economy. So i created an app which is location based and helps local economy. Features - Location based filtering - The services which cannot be provided at your location are automatically filtered out ! So you see only those local services available at your location. - It makes you easy to hire local services. And easy to buy from shops physically near to you. I need an app that calculates the time every time my mobile data is on Posted: 29 Mar 2019 05:04 AM PDT I use Time based internet packages that are cheap and unlimited but can only be used for 3 hours... Most of the time i activate a package i use without looking or calculating the time. I recieve a message only after the whole 3 hours is used so if i were to download a game and go to the bathroom and the package finishes then i would get extra charge at $1 per 50 MB which will add up quickly... I don't use all 3 hours in one sitting so its hard to calculate. I need an app that would calculate the time when my mobile data is on so i can know when to stop. Pardon my english skills. Please do recommend an app :) [link] [comments] |
Suggestions on weather apps that store data offline? Posted: 29 Mar 2019 12:13 PM PDT I'd basically like the full desktop results you get from Google, but in an app. Hourly graphs for temp, precip, and wind speed are hugely critical. And storing these for offline use is essential. I'm traveling through areas with spotty cell service so it can be hours or a day or so before I might get service again. Wind direction is also critical broken down hourly. I keep trying various apps but the decent ones seem to break without internet and the bad ones don't have enough information. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Mar 2019 11:58 AM PDT Now that Apple is shutting down Texture for their platform-only offering, anyone have suggestions for favorite ways to get lots of magazine (and newspaper!) reading for one fairly low monthly price? I have tried Pressreader but it's a bit cumbersome and doesn't have as many US offerings as it does overseas. Thanks! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Mar 2019 11:40 AM PDT I made the change. For 11 years, I have been an iPhone user. This month I got the Galaxy s10+. I am super happy with it. The only thing I keep wishing for, or wishing I could find, and I one swipe/click search of apps on my phone. On the iPhone, no matter the home (app?) screen I was on, if I swipe down there was a search option. The keyboard was already up and I was ready to just start typing. Quick, easy. On my S10+, I swipe down, I see all my apps, but I have to then click the top of the screen for the finder search and then start typing. It's a stretch for me to reach one handed. I know, it's dumb, but it's a wish list kind of thing, not a show stopper. Today, it hit me, maybe there is a widget I can put on my home screen where I click on it and it will automatically search my apps, one click, find what I want, open, move on. The google search kind of works for this, but sometimes, if it's a real common name, like Chase for chase bank, it'll take me to the website and not the app. Anyone have workaround suggestions or apps suggestions that can help me with this? Thanks. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Mar 2019 03:42 AM PDT I have a self-made APK that I reinstall after each update. It would always come up with a "blocked" message but I could choose "Install Anyway". After I accidentally clicked "OK" to it being blocked it no longer gives me the option. MyFiles is set to allow installing unknown apps and renaming the APK didn't help... Any ideas? Thanks! Open source clients for Netflix, Whatsapp and Spotify? Posted: 28 Mar 2019 10:55 PM PDT I use these 3 excellent services but would love to avoid the trackers in their official apps (the worst is Spotify from what I can tell). Does anyone know of open source clients for them so I can avoid their sneaky trackers? [link] [comments] |
For anyone who's interested in cloud gaming I have a recommendation for you Posted: 29 Mar 2019 07:20 AM PDT Yesterday while I was looking for games to play around the appstore I stumbled onto an app called Vortex Cloud Gaming. It's an app that allows you to stream PC games to your mobile phone for $9.99 a month. Now, I've tried doing a bit of research on Reddit (because that's usually where I look for this kind of stuff) but all I could find were some old posts from a year ago saying their ping was very high. Being the posts were a year old, I decided to give it a try to see if there had been any improvements. I made an account and checked my own connection to the server to discover that it was a good speed. After that I browsed their stunning, albeit small, catalog of games. It had AAA titles from GTA V, Fallout 4, Skyrim, Rainbow, and even Fortnite and other Free games. The things is, to play these triple AAA titles, you have to already have the game purchased on Steam. But games like Fortnite, Apex Legends, TF2 are all still free as long as you have an account with their respective launcher (Epic, EA, Steam). I decided to purchase Fallout 4 and give it a try and it's a fantastic experience so far. I just want to say that I really recommend trying this if you just can't afford a PC but have an itch for PC gaming. I'll list some pro and cons and answer any questions you guys might have. Pro: has touchscreen mapping and gamepad support Pro: connection to servers is fairly good (for me at least) Pro: good AAA titles on the platform Pro: Cheap subscription Con: I won't lie, FPS games are wonky and Multiplayer games are not the best, it's really only meant for a single player experience IMO. Con: Relatively small catalog of games Con: On top of already having to pay a subscription every month, you have to also pay full price for the game itself. Sorry for any mistakes I wrote this in a rush [link] [comments] |

There is just one thing left. It's not currently saving any data. I'll really appreciate if you guys share your feedbacks. 🙂✌️ [link] [comments] |
