Xiaomi Mijia Smart LED Desk Lamp

Xiaomi Mijia Smart LED Desk Lamp

    Mijia Smart LED Desk Lamp

    Posted: 13 Feb 2019 08:22 PM PST

I purchased the Mijia Desk Lamp and I have tried to connect it to the app multiple times, even trying to uninstall and re-install the app and using a different server. Everytime I do so, it goes to the end but then says that the connection has timed out and never fully connects. I have tried using another phone's mobile hotspot as another router and still the same outcome. I read a solution concerning a DHCP list but I can't seem to figure it out, and most of them don't explain what I have to do. Thanks in advance for the responses.

Proud owner of a Mi Mix 2S, audio output isn't working?

    Posted: 13 Feb 2019 03:00 PM PST

Hello, I've received my new phone this morning and have been using it with the usb-c to jack adapter and my marshall major headphones, like a charm.

But 2 hours ago I unplugged it and now it doesn't work. it shows that a headphone is plugged in but no sound is out. If I only plug the usb-c adapter the headphones logo disappear, and my headphones do work on other devices. I'm kinda OutOfIdeas now. i did try a reboot. Any idea ? :P

A2 Lite users with battery issues: Check your micro SD cards

    Posted: 13 Feb 2019 02:57 PM PST

I hope my personal experience can help people with my same problem:

When I updated to Android Pie it was a real let down because I could see my battery life really went down, to the point that I could check th phone used to lose 1-2% per hour just on standby, and 2-5% per hour on cpu-friendly tasks like browsing. When playing games the battery consumption was even worse as anyone would expect.

Tried putting on/off adaptative battery and killing background activities of almost every app with no improvement, until I started reading that people were having same issues but related to newly adquired micro SD cards.

Then I recalled that I inserted an Aliexpress 128 GB micro SD card the same day I updated. Maybe the problem was it was a fake Samsung SD card, so I changed to an original Sandisk 64 GB card. Still no improvements, so I came back to the 32 GB Sandisk SD card I had before the Pie Update. Now I can say the battery life came back to Oreo levels, with a real good to reasonable battery consumption.

TL;DR: Using a 64 GB and up Micro SD card, and/or using a low quality one, is probably the cause of low battery life on your A2 Lite after Pie update. Cannot assure if the same happens if you're in Oreo.

Xiaomi Mi 9 To feature Triple Rear Camera - Camera Performance to Surpass That of Huawei P20 Pro!

    Posted: 13 Feb 2019 05:11 AM PST

Recently, I saw one of the posters of Mi 9 exposing its rear. I was surprised to see that the rear had a triple camera configuration. Moreover, recently Xiaomi officials said that the camera performance will be better than Huawei P20 Pro which was the best camera smartphone of 2018.

    https://imgur.com/a/9NjIk6O

I know Xiaomi is just average when it comes to the camera software. However, I heard that Xiaomi has been improving the camera experience with the recent updates in Redmi Note 7 And Mi 8. So the question of the day, will the camera performance really surpass that of P20 Pro? I hope they don't mean it hardware wise but both the hardware and software wise.

Xiaomi latest update has messed up my mobile data internet

    Posted: 13 Feb 2019 06:37 PM PST

Xiaomis update has messed up the apns on my pocophone. I am on Vodafone in the UK. The only way for me to get my data to work again was to downgrade my software. Is Xiaomi working on a fix for this or do they even acknowledge that this is a big problem?

Battery drain on Mi 8 Lite

    Posted: 13 Feb 2019 05:45 PM PST

I'm on a brand new Mi 8 Lite and "Cell standby" is consuming too much of the battery.

    Screenshot

I've googled and that seems like a recurrent issue on MIUI and many Xiaomi phones.

I've also taken a look at BetterBatteryStats and a high value for qcom_rx_wakelock cought my attention.

Is anybody else facing that too or have some tips?

I'm on MIUI Global stable 10.2.2.0.

I've noticed when I swipe up to go home, the app doesn't smoothly return to the icon on my home screen, instead it just goes into the middle and suddenly disappears. Does anyone know how to get the animation back?

I am from Serbia and I can't use face unlock if I don't change my region to China or India. If I change my region, does it affect my phone? Will all of my apps work as normal?

    Xiaomi scooter lock mechanism fail

    Posted: 13 Feb 2019 11:30 AM PST

Hi guys. Ive had my scooter only three months, yet my steering column locking mechanism failed while I was pushing uphill, collapsing the column, and I ended up scraping my knee on the pavement quite badly. Ive since tried to tighten up the lock to prevent it happening again, to no effect - I can simply pull on the column and it unlocks. Very bad!

Im taking it back to the store this weekend, but anyone got any insight into this problem? Is the locking mechanism weak? Can it be reinforced somehow?

Xiaomi Airdots - Case charge level

    Posted: 13 Feb 2019 04:03 AM PST

I've looked everywhere and I could not find, at least no in english, if there is a way to know the charge level of the case. I've got mine a week now and it simply went out of charge, I thought the charging led would blink or turn red to show that the charge of the case was low, but it does not seem to be the case.

Anyone have any insight in this?

    (sorry for the bad english)

Xiaomi A2 any news? A total disappointment

    Posted: 13 Feb 2019 09:28 AM PST

My Xiaomi A2 has become unbearable after pie....

    -No updates.
    -Adaptive brightness is misbehaving.
-WiFi signal and overall WiFi behaviour is terrible I can't believe that a phone like this can't cover this basic thing.
-Sound from type C port sounds like a bad mp3(I can hear the digital distortion of compression).
-Phone is laggy and feels slow.
-I can't accept that I almost got my phone bricked with the January Update.
    -GPS isn't accurate at all

Is that only me? Can Xiaomi authorize refunds or am I dreaming?
