Posted: 06 Feb 2019 05:30 AM PST My phone (Samsung Galaxy S 9+) updated last night. I feel like I got an almost brand new phone I didn't ask for. When you buy a phone, you know you are going to have to spend some time learning it, but GD, I have work to do today and most all of my previous alterations to it and the apps I use, have been reset or are gone. I can't find a way to put the camera zoom back to my two left side buttons. I've tried 'asking' the phone for help but it's not cooperating. Also, I used to have a 'pro editor' setting (accessed at the upper right hand corner of the photo with the 3 dots) when you are looking at a picture you've taken. It's GONE. SO many other changes that I didn't ask for. Icons - We can customize those, so why do they feel the need to change them?? I could go on, but.. well you guys probably don't want to hear it AND I need to get back working. Any help with the camera zoom changes will be greatly appreciated (went to take a photo of the beautiful sunrise this morning and well... camera fail due to all the changes they made >.< ) [link] [comments]

Samsung sound bar not connecting to Sony TV (HDMI ARC) Posted: 06 Feb 2019 07:40 AM PST First - if this is not the proper sub to post this, kindly let me know and I will remove it. TV: Sony XBR49X800D Sound bar: Samsung HW-MS650 I have encountered an issue where my sound bar is not powering on properly with my TV. Please note, the setup was working fine until about a week ago, so I am a bit perplexed as to what caused this issue. Typically, I connect the sound bar to the TV via HDMI ARC (on their respective, designated ARC ports). However, when I turn on the TV, the sound bar defaults to "D.IN" and does not advance to "TV ARC" as it should. My temporary solution was to unplug and re-plug the TV (power reset), at which time the TV will recognize the sound bar via HDMI ARC (and the bar reads "TV ARC," as it should). However, this only works until I power the TV off again. Lately, this no longer seems to temporarily resolve the issue. It simply does not go past "D.IN" and no sound emanates from the unit. Both the sound bar and TV have been updated recently. My TV's "sync settings" that allow HDMI connected devices to power on with the TV are also all enabled. For some reason, the BRAVIA Sync settings main toggle is grayed out, but appeared to be toggled on. (IIRC, it was not grayed out before this issue starting occurring.) Has anyone encountered anything like this previously? It is frustrating because the entire setup was functioning perfectly well until last weekend. Thank you in advance for your insight. Font size keeps automatically changing? Posted: 06 Feb 2019 07:22 AM PST I'm on an S9 Plus. My font size seems to keep changing on its own. Although it doesn't seem to have anything to do with my actual phone settings. Not every app is affected, the first one I noticed was Instagram, then I noticed that an overlay that I use for Pokemon Go had gotten smaller in size. The app is called PokeGenie if that matters. The last time this happened I just had to keep arbitrarily restarting the affected apps and it would eventually work. Any ideas as to what's causing this or how to fix it? Thanks! Screen won't auto rotate after update (S9) Posted: 06 Feb 2019 06:46 AM PST Any way to fix this? I've reset the phone multiple times, clicked and unclicked the auto rotate option in the toolbar, updated all of the apps that would use the auto rotate, but nothing is working. [link] [comments]

Gmail App links always asking which browser to use even when I choose Chrome/always. Posted: 06 Feb 2019 06:02 AM PST (Galaxy s9+, updated) I can't seem to figure out how to get links in emails in the gmail app to always open in chrome. It seems to be saving the setting on a per-link basis rather than on an app-wide basis. How do I just set it permanently to chrome? [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Feb 2019 06:01 AM PST So I received a replacement phone from Asurion for a device I had covered on Verizon wireless. I paid 250 for the deductible to get the original device replaced. First thing I noticed is that the battery is drastically lacking. I can normally go for a day and a half on my old phone. This one's dying before midnight. the second thing I noticed is that it feels as though the screen is delaminated. When I touch the center of the screen I can feel the glass depress and then it comes back up making a crinkling sound. Anyway yesterday called Asurion to see if I could get a replacement device as they claim to warranty their work for up to 12 months. However they said that my device is damaged and then I would have to resubmit a claim and pay an additional $250. I don't understand how that make sense that they warranty their work for 12 months but a physical defect not caused by driver or water is isn't covered. Is it really hard to replace a screen because the screen is killing me right now? [link] [comments]
New update is causing me to have a problem. Can anyone help me fix it? Posted: 06 Feb 2019 05:28 AM PST I have an app on my S9+ called clockshark that I use to clock in and out for my time at work. It has GPS tracking, so obviously I need location tracking enabled, which it is. Now that the update is out, everytime I put my phone in my pocket, or the screen times out and the phone becomes inactive, the app clocks me out due to location being disabled??? This only happens when the phone is inactive and I never had this problem before. Does anybody know how to fix this? [link] [comments]

Is Samsung Galaxy Note 1 (GT-N7000) slowed down? Posted: 06 Feb 2019 04:14 AM PST I have this phone. Android 4.1.2. It was never fast but these last years it's so unbelieveably slow it's hard to believe Samsung isn't fucking with us to make us buy a new phone. It's next to useless for browsing the web. SMS isn't slow. When using it as a WIFI point for my laptop the laptop isn't slow at all. So it can't be that bandwith is low or that it can't handle the bandwidth. [link] [comments] |
