Why I hate having no headphone jack... Even with bullets Posted: 01 Feb 2019 08:14 AM PST Having bullets is nice and they are usually super convenient, but that doesn't excuse there being no headphone jack. My anger towards this feature or, lack thereof, manifested itself this morning. Last night, I plugged in my bullets wireless to charge so they would be good to go for today, since they were on 10%. Somehow, they ended up not charging and I came to school with them on 10%. They died after 10 minutes of use. This is an obvious limitation of Bluetooth technology, you are always limited by the amount of battery it can get, and in this case, I can't take my notes because of this limitation. This isn't even my only grievance with the situation. I have a backup pair of earbuds in my backpack to use in emergency, but, you guessed it, since the 6T doesn't have a headphone jack, they are rendered useless. The majority of the audio technology ever made is rendered incompatible with this phone without a special adapter. I don't understand why OnePlus would go down the path of getting rid of useful features. Usually it's not a problem, but this is just one example of a situation where it is, and where it's ALWAYS better to have one and not need it than to need it and not have one. Update: I got home and plugged my bullets into their charger. Red light did not come on. Tried a different charger and same story. It appears my earbuds have lost the ability to charge just a month after I got them, will be in contact with OnePlus. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Feb 2019 09:39 AM PST I just bought the OP6T. For the price, I am hoping it lasts longer than my last phone (Lenovorola G4+). Do we start chanting now or what? [link] [comments] |
Could you get an artificial notification light using the AMOLED display? Posted: 01 Feb 2019 03:01 PM PST Just wondering whether this would be possible / a good idea as it just occurred to me. [link] [comments] |
Ski tracking apps just don't work Posted: 01 Feb 2019 01:34 AM PST So OOS is great, but it has some big issues and they're really starting to be annoying. One of them is the overly aggressive RAM management. I have 8 fucking GB for what? To shut down apps as soon as I close the screen? Confusing settings in 3 different areas aren't good either. So I want to track my ski performance. I tried 3 apps (Ski Tracker, Ski Tracks, and Sportier). NONE OF THEM WORK. They start recording all fine, by the time the ski lift gets to the top they're all shut down. I individually disabled battery optimizations for all o them. I disabled Deep Optimizations and Sleep standby optimization (there's no fucking difference in battery with these running by the way). And they're still getting turned off. Same with an app that connects to a Bluetooth OBD adapter to my car. It only runs while the screen is running. If I turn off the screen, even if the phone is connected to a power source, the app gets obliterated in 3 minutes. WHY?!?! Sometimes alarms aren't going off, which is EVEN WORSE. So what am I to do? Sell the phone? Am I forced to install a custom ROM? Seriously. EDIT: This is for the OP6, but it's no different for OP3 because ski tracking apps didn't work on that either. [link] [comments] |
How to Reset the phone without loosing apps & files? Posted: 01 Feb 2019 07:52 PM PST I have OP5 and I want to reset the phone which Warns me that all files and apps will be deleted. Is there any way which can let me keep the apps with current configuration and files remain on the device without installing and copying everything again? Thanks in advance! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Feb 2019 04:37 PM PST I took my OP6 flying with me out over some local areas, and even from 1000ft in the air, you can identify cars, see people on the street, hell you can even make out a dog in one of the pics [link] [comments] |
Any non-OEM wall chargers for Dash? Posted: 01 Feb 2019 07:19 PM PST So I plan on buying a OnePlus 6 and want to look into buying a few wall chargers for various things, but I don't like some of the prices of the chargers. I read an article that listed various chargers that worked with Dash. One example is that an Anker brand charger can provide Dash. https://www.gottabemobile.com/best-quick-chargers-for-the-oneplus-6/ Has anyone bought a non-OnePlus brand wall charger/cable that is able to provide Dash? Thanks :) [link] [comments] |
Owners of Oneplus backpacks, are they worth it? Posted: 01 Feb 2019 06:09 AM PST Since I got my oneplus 6, I've become a huge fan of the Oneplus brand and the backpacks they have got my interest. 80 Euros is quite a huge amount of money for me for a backpack, but is it worth it? What's the quality of those backpacks? And what's the difference between the explorer and the travel backpack? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Feb 2019 06:49 PM PST Why don't they just released their apps on the Play Store? The camera, phone, contacts, etc. can be updated easier if they didn't rely on incrimental system updates. It would allow for the T-Mobile variant users, who do not root, to keep up to date with any updates to these specific apps. [link] [comments] |
OnePlus 3T - Update cycle broken Posted: 01 Feb 2019 05:28 AM PST I've been using the OnePlus 3T as my daily driver for the last 2 years. OnePlus recently promised they would follow the update cycle - Security patch updates for every 2 months. The current security patch is November 2018. It's been February 2019 already and they are yet to push the January security patch. Is this because of focus on other phones or Pie update is coming sooner with the latest patch? [link] [comments] |
TIL: how to remove icons quickly Posted: 01 Feb 2019 03:19 AM PST Just in case anybody is wondering: you can simply "throw" every icon (and folder!) away with a hard fast swipe. Coming from a OP3 I expected little neat things here and there, but this was unexpected and I love, that I can discover new little details even months after purchasing this device. And now excuse me, I need to redo half of my home screen now! 😁 [link] [comments] |
Can anyone explain to me why OnePlus 6T is better than Honor flagship phone View 20? Posted: 01 Feb 2019 12:01 PM PST I am stuck on the the two options and you all being proper OP users, I want to know why OP 6T is better than Honor View 20 which is of same price. [link] [comments] |
People who own OnePlus 3/3T How is the present performance of your device? Posted: 01 Feb 2019 09:45 AM PST Does the device run smoothly or lots of hiccup's and lags. [link] [comments] |
Weird problem with my Bullets Wireless... Posted: 01 Feb 2019 02:57 PM PST I just got this weird problem with my Bullets. Ive had them for 3 months or so and I've loved them but I just got this weird thing where they work perfectly normal with my laptop but can only make a hizz with my phone. Yes, I have restarted both multiple times and disconnected completely. Any ideas? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Feb 2019 02:47 PM PST Had my OP3 since launch and it is finally dieing on me. Lost 30% in <2 hours today whilst sat in my pocket doing nothing. Have decided to buy a Huawei mate 20 pro. The 6t just seems to have too many flaws to be worth it. The phone has lasted me well over the years. However in the last month, the battery has fallen to almost useless. Also the screen has started to fall out. The adhesive holding it to the plastic plate seems to have just failed. It is currently being held in by my case. [link] [comments] |
Pandora randomly crashes on OP6 Posted: 01 Feb 2019 02:42 PM PST Have a OnePlus 6 with the latest software and updated Pandora. Pandora randomly will just crash after playing a few songs. A song will be on, music will just stop playing, check the phone and it's as if Pandora was never launched. This is not related to battery permissions. I've addressed that. I've cleared the apps data/cache. Reinstalled Pandora. Nothing helps. Any thoughts? Anyone having this issue? [link] [comments] |
Missing texts over a certain size? Posted: 01 Feb 2019 05:35 AM PST I have apparently not been recieving certain texts. they seem to be ones of length as if its a MMS issue, but yet I get photos and gifs fine. not sure if this is a 6T issue, the fact that I have it on ATT, or android in general problem.... could be on the other end too. anyone have a idea? Question about OnePlus 6T 8GB RAM Posted: 01 Feb 2019 02:15 PM PST I've just purchased a new Mirror Black OnePlus 6T 8GB RAM from EE in the UK. I asked several times to make sure I was getting the 8GB RAM version and they assured me that it was indeed the model with "up to 8 GB RAM". When I got home and set my phone up I noticed in the system information it says 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM, my question is, does the 8GB model simply draw extra memory from the ROM or should it actually display as 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM? I wasn't able to find information regarding this when I did a google search and on EE's website they don't even have a choice between the two RAM models, only colour choices. Before I give them a call and bring the issue up with them, I thought I'd try find out first if the 8GB RAM model is in fact supposed to display as 8GB dedicated memory. Thanks for any info and help! Wrong PIN when connecting through Bluetooth [6T] Posted: 01 Feb 2019 03:30 AM PST So I can connect to my Bullets Wireless fine, but when I try to connect to my car. It says it couldn't connect because of wrong PIN even though the PIN number matches. I cleared Bluetooth's cache but it still doesn't work :( [link] [comments] |
How to make Google Photo app default in camera's gallery ? Posted: 01 Feb 2019 01:26 PM PST Hello guys. I've updated my Oneplus5t to Android 9. But since that, the camera opens up Gallery app instead of Google Photos like before. I've went to settings, i have put Google Photos as my default photos app. I have also disabled the built in gallery, but no Luck. The camera still opens Gallery instead of Google Photos. If someone has a fix for that, much appreciated. [link] [comments] |
6T no internet connection on either Wi-Fi or LTE even if it looks connected Posted: 01 Feb 2019 01:22 PM PST My 6T has been acting up lately. Both wifi or mobile data don't work randomly during the day. System shows everything being connected just fine. Restarting doesn't change a thing. Then as if by miracle it starts working again. What the heck? Anyone else having this problem? [link] [comments] |
Dirac stops working when I take out my Bullets Type C's Posted: 01 Feb 2019 01:19 PM PST And they don't start working unless I go to the Audio Tuner setting and suddenly it comes to life. Anyone find a way around this or is there a way to solve this? [link] [comments] |
USB-C to 3.5mm adapter only playing sound through one earphone? Posted: 01 Feb 2019 01:13 PM PST I bought this: https://arvutitark.ee/est/tootekataloog/0/GEMBIRD-USB-type-C-plug-to-stereo-35-mm-audio-adapter-kaabel-valge-301370 to listen to music on my 6T since I lost my original adapter. This seemed to suit it, says that it's stereo and works on MacBooks etc so I bought the adapter but it only plays from one earphone when I connect it to my 6T. Any ideas what's going on? Anyone getting really bad battery the last few days/week? Posted: 01 Feb 2019 12:02 PM PST Not really sure when it started but it seems to be in the last few days/last week. I have Goe from having 7-8 hours sot and phone lasting around a day and a half to only getting 3 hours screen on time or maybe just a little more and having to charge it every night. Today I took my phone off charge 7 hours ago which was 12pm at about 95% and its now 35 with 2hrs 30 mins screen on time. Normally I'd take my phone off at 8:45 and by this time it would be about 60% with over 3hrs screen on time. I haven't used the phone any different and haven't installed any new apps or phone updates. Anyone else having this problem? Or anything I can try to sort it out? [link] [comments] |
For people who have Google Feed OP Launcher on Non T-Mobile variant Posted: 01 Feb 2019 10:37 AM PST It's working great. But I'm getting an update thing on the play store. Should I update it or will it break the thing? Edit: Got my answer. Don't update. [link] [comments] |
