GCam - Google Camera Setup - Latest Version [OP3-OP3T, OP5-OP5T, OP6-OP6T] Posted: 12 Feb 2019 11:43 PM PST This build was released 2019-02-04 and with the correct config file works flawlessly on my OnePlus 6T. Your mileage may vary. So, First grab the latest version of the GCam app from the developers database: MGC_6.1.021_BSG_Arnova-based_v.1.3e_TlnNeun.apk Next we are going to want to grab our configuration file (.XML) for our specific device. There is a .XML available for the OnePlus 3, 3T, 5, 5T, 6, and 6T. You can find these configuration files here: GCam Config Files Third we have to import these configuration files to our GCam App. To do that you will have to place them in a specific directory and use the hidden import feature in GCam. You can find the directions for this here: Import XML File Instructions
I am in no way affiliated with any of this work. I just wanted to put all of this information in one place for anyone that isn't familiar with this process since there is a million different versions of the GCam App. I hope that I could help! [link] [comments]
My Oneplus 6t battery life test (3 days of usage, 7h+ SOT) Posted: 13 Feb 2019 03:24 PM PST I see a lot of conflicting reviews about 6t battery life on this subreddit, so I wanted to try it on my device. This weekend I decided to see how long the my Oneplus 6t could last without a charger. I unplugged it in the morning, and then got 3 days of usage out of it! Here's an album of the results Notes:
How long are your devices lasting? Genuinely curious. [link] [comments]
Sound quality on wireless bullets? Posted: 13 Feb 2019 03:58 PM PST For those who own both, how does the sound quality of the wireless bullets compare to the the quality of the wired bullets? I have the wired bullets and am considering purchasing the wireless ones. [link] [comments]
How to stop Android from asking if I want to keep receiving these notifications? Posted: 13 Feb 2019 07:08 PM PST Something new in Android P is the whole thing where I swipe away a notification, and it's like "yo, I see you've swiped these away a bunch, so you want to keep receiving them?" YES I WANT TO SEE THEM, IF I DIDN'T I'D TURN OFF NOTIFICATIONS FOR THAT APP! So far as I can tell, there's no way to turn this feature off. Not sure if it's supposed to remember my response, but it doesn't, I may get the same notification on the same app two to three times a week.. I swiped it away because I've been duly notified, and it's no longer required.. [link] [comments]
Problems with the last OP6 update? Posted: 13 Feb 2019 06:43 PM PST After my last night's OnePlus 6 update, my MMS messages aren't coming through from friends on stock messaging app or Android messages. When I receive a picture it's just never ending loading until failure. I send stuff just fine. Is anyone else having this issue? Service: At&t/Straight talk. OP6 -8/128 [link] [comments]
Bluetooth randomly disconnecting and reconnecting on 6t Posted: 13 Feb 2019 06:27 PM PST One of the most infuriating things I've evperienced while at work. Bluetooth playback devices (I've tried 3 different ones) randomly disconnect and reconnect causing skipping in audio, audio pausing, or the phone deciding to just pick up with the phone speaker playing whatever I'm listening to for everyone to hear. Is this just me? [link] [comments]
Posted: 13 Feb 2019 09:37 AM PST As the title says, I'm looking for a way to enable AOD on stock Oxygen OS, since it's a feature I really miss from stock Android. There was a Magisk zip which used to work up to Android Oreo (it's on the 5T's XDA Forum, but it's compatible with 5/5T/6/6T) but it doesn't work with Pie. There's any other way to enable AOD again using Magisk? Thanks in advance for your help. [link] [comments]
Avoid the 6T 3D Tempered Screen Protector at all costs! Posted: 13 Feb 2019 05:03 PM PST Avoid this at all costs. Mine came with bad micro-scratches on the screen and once installed (lol, as best as could be with massive bubbles), it's pretty badly noticeable. Customer service will ask that you ship it back, which would be the cost of the damn thing. What the hell is the point? I feel duped. [link] [comments]
Spam call filtering on the 6T? Google phone with root Posted: 13 Feb 2019 01:11 PM PST Hello all, I have a 6T rooted with magisk installed and I'm running OOS 9.0.12. I have read a lot of threads saying you can have automatic spam call blocking via the google phone app, but I can't install this app (play store says it is incompatible). I tried installing the 'google dialer framework' magisk module about 2 weeks ago, and my phone ended up in a bootloop right after I installed it. I had to re-flash everything and re-root my phone unfortunately. My question is - has anyone got the google phone app, or automatic spam call filtering enabled on their 6T? If so, how did you do it? Looking for step by step instructions so I don't end up bootlooping again. [link] [comments]
Posted: 13 Feb 2019 10:01 AM PST Opening Netflix works, can browse through shows works fine. But when actually trying to play the video the screen turns partially green and super pixelated and all messed up. The audio seems to be working fine. I've cleared system cache, cleared app cache/storage, reinstall app, nothing worked. Anything else I can try? This is my wife's phone. I have the OP5T and it works fine on it. Same result on wifi or LTE. [link] [comments]
oneplus 3t lockscreen acting up Posted: 13 Feb 2019 09:29 AM PST i've recently had issues with the lockscreen on my oneplus 3t running oxygenos 5.0.8 - many times, when i double tap to wake the screen or press the power button, instead of simply seeing the lockscreen (to check the time, to preview notifications, or when i'm listening to music and just want to quickly see the song name/skip it etc) it immediately brings up the fingerprint/pin code screen as if i swiped up to unlock. it obviously blocks the time display and everything else displayed on the lockscreen and forces me to unlock the phone to see what i wanted to see. it hasn't always done that, it's a recent annoyance and i'm not sure when exactly it started happening. i say "many times" because sometimes, very rarely, i do manage to just view the lockscreen - so it's not consistent either. anyone experiencing the same problem? what can i do to resolve this, as it's honestly driving me crazy? I want to know the absolute best scanner app on Android Posted: 13 Feb 2019 05:38 AM PST I've been testing a OnePlus 6T alongside my iPhone X and I cannot find ANY scanner app that matches scanner pro on iOS. I've tried a whole bunch of them and there isn't even one that comes close. ScanBot at least is somewhat quick to automatically scan the document and process but it's quality is way worse than scanner pro and I've had it turn out blurry several times. Scanner pro is insanely fast to just automatically scan page after page of documents and at weird angles and bad lighting it always turns out crystal clear and straightened out. For those out there that scan a lot of documents, what are you using on Android? [link] [comments]

[OP5] Your Favorite ROMs NOT on XDA Posted: 13 Feb 2019 10:34 AM PST I've been searching for good ROMs, and I'm curious -- what is everybody's favorite ROMs that aren't available on XDA, and where/how did you find them? I'm on a OP5, but if you have another device, feel free to reply as well, the topic as a whole is interesting, they always feel like 'hidden' ROMs to me. [link] [comments]
Looking for ideas to improve battery life Posted: 13 Feb 2019 06:34 AM PST Hello all, bought the 6t about 2 months ago. Have been terribly disappointed in the battery life thus far, does anyone have tips or things I should try that could help? I already have AccuBattery and Battery Life (by Kaspersky) on the phone. Posted: 12 Feb 2019 10:57 PM PST so recently I opted to install the new system update {I am rooted and using magisk and twrp bluespark edition}and after installing the update I needed to re-root my device but as I tried rebooting into recovery mode I noticed it was wiping everything and I couldn't stop it. after 5 hours of trying to fix this I'm just trying to flash stock again so that I can have a functioning phone for work tomorrow but I cannot do anything of the sort because looking in the system files revealed that the phones still encrypted and won't allow me to do anything but when booting into twrp it doesn't ask for a decryption password like it did the last time {before this incident} Any help would be appreciated at this point because honestly I'm out of ideas and or ways to try and find solutions [link] [comments]
Posted: 13 Feb 2019 04:52 AM PST Could I use a bit of WD-40 to fix the loose alert slider? Or is that not good for the device? For reference, I'm using a OnePlus 6T [link] [comments] |
