    Smart Switch from iPhone 7

    Posted: 03 Jan 2019 04:48 AM PST

Hi, I am really struggling to transfer data from iPhone 7 to S9, I have tried with the cable and it says 11 hours - the charge will not hold for this long.

I have also tried over the PC and it won't let me manually select my backup and also doesn't show under iTunes on Smart Switch.

When doing it wirelessly it gets to 99% and then stays there for 40 mins and then only lets me select photos & contacts - no videos. It says it will take 27 hours. There is 17gb to transfer.

Any help would be really appreciated as I don't want to lose all my photos!

Thank you! Apologies for formatting, am on mobile.

    Question about buying Samsung phone

    Posted: 03 Jan 2019 06:22 AM PST

I have an old A7(2017) phone.

Would getting the newer A7 (2018) be better or would getting a S7/S8/Note7/Note8 be better?

Deal on 128gb note9, is 512gb worth it?

    Posted: 03 Jan 2019 05:19 AM PST

A legit website has the 128gb note9 in ocean blue for £759, with the black 512gb at £1009. Is the 8gb of RAM worth £250? I don't forsee using the phone for business use and don't tend to run graphic intensive phone games like fortnite but I do watch a lot of video.

Galaxy S10 won't sell much from what it seems like. Most people want Galaxy S9 bezel or all screen, no notch.

Anyone had the Android 9 Pie update on their phones yet (S9 or Note 9)

    Posted: 03 Jan 2019 05:27 AM PST

I've heard these two phones would be the first to receive the Android 9 Pie and One UI update sometime this month and that its already available in Germany. Anyone have the update yet? Let me know. I'm in the UK on Oreo 8 with my S9

Is there a working GCam port for A5 2017 running Oreo ?

    Posted: 03 Jan 2019 05:08 AM PST

I've been looking everywhere in the XDA forums, checked out the forums of others Samsung devices as well but I can't find a working port for A5 2017. Honestly with the stock camera app the shots are not the best and I'm looking for a way to increase the quality somehow even in the slightest. There was a port though on XDA forums specifically for A5 but once I've applied the settings recommended but the photos are still either coming out as purple or camera crashes at all.

TLDR: Anyone has a woking GCAM port for A5 2017 Series ? Thanks

    Noob Question about the Display

    Posted: 02 Jan 2019 07:12 PM PST

Hello everyone. This is my first time owning a Galaxy S device, and the experience is fantastic. Anyway Ill get to my question. Im using an S9 btw.

I took some screenshots of the display and noticed that on the screenshot, the status bar and nav bar icons and ui are sometimes not aligned with my screen in realtime. Its like they shift slightly to the left or right.

Am I right in assuming that this is a feature to prevent burn in? Anyone have the same experience? Im genuinely curious. Thanks!

Humming/buzzing noise on a Samsung TV

    Posted: 03 Jan 2019 04:10 AM PST

Dunno if is the right thing to write here but I have a problem with my new Samsung Series 7 TV. When is off I can hear a humming/buzz sound from the back of the tv (right side where hdmi cables are).

I saw on some forums that this issue exists for some TV ( regardless of brand ) and is not normal. I am sure that not all of those products have this issue, because I asked some friends and for them everything was ok.

Do any of you experienced this ? Should I return it ? The TV was bought like a week ago. I owned a lot of Samsung products but only with this one I have this issue.

What I checked: - to be no ground loop - to be some distance from the wall - when I raise the volume I cannot hear it - played with tv settings and same thing - internal TV hardware check was ok

Small note: I live on fifth floor so I am starting to think that is the height and electrical devices are weird because of it. I am not expert, just saw an article on net.
