| Left thumb fingerprint is inconsistent (6T) Posted: 31 Jan 2019 06:46 AM PST No matter how many times I re-register my left thumb on my 6T, it doesn't change the fact that sometimes it opens the phone immediately, sometimes it's slower that other fingers, and other times it doesn't work at all. I used to have: 1) everything enabled, 2) calls enabled/notifications disabled, 3) silent. | OnePlus Switch ruined my gallery Posted: 31 Jan 2019 03:05 PM PST I just got a OnePlus 6T McLaren and I used OnePlus Switch to move my stuff off my old 5T. It copied every folder for Facebook messenger stickers and put them on my phone. Now, every app I have that I try to upload a picture to, I have to scroll through over 2000 folders just to get to my pictures, and it takes a full 10-20 seconds just to scroll through. I can't see these folders in my gallery app. I can see them in Google photos but that won't delete system folders. I can also see them in the Downloads app, but again, won't delete them. Is there an easy way for me to delete all of these folders? I mean look at this bullshit [link] [comments]  |
| OnePlus Bullets Wireless RMA palaver Posted: 31 Jan 2019 04:36 PM PST Thought I'd share my nightmarish experience of trying to RMA my Bullets Wireless. So I got them for Christmas. I've been using them with the official carry case (which I believe puts stress on the cabling) and really looking after them - they might be pretty cheap for wireless earphones but they are the most expensive earphones I've ever owned and they were a gift. The right earphone has basically stopped playing any sound unless the cable is held at a very specific angle. Anyway, firstly it is impossible to request or repair via the normal procedure on the OnePlus website. An IMEI number is required and obviously the Bullets don't have one. So the only way to request an RMA is to talk to Customer Support. The first person I spoke to asked a bunch of irrelevant questions which were clearly aimed at someone with a broken phone - have you dropped it etc. After an hour on live chat they agreed to replace them. Then a few minutes later they informed me that they were not in stock, so they could not replace them. What about a repair? They said that they don't repair earphones. So what could I do? I was informed I'd have to wait until they were back in stock, likely at the end of February. What about in another colour I inquired? Oh yes, they were in stock and they were happy to replace them. So I gave my details... we were at the two hour mark by now. "Please check your email for the RMA request." I hadn't received it... Oops, they'd entered the wrong email address. "Let me enter the details again. Sorry, I'm afraid I can't process another RMA request within 24 hours. Please contact us again tomorrow." Ffs. Anyway, contact them again I did. Went through the whole rigmarole again, this time on the phone. They wanted photos even though I told them there was no physics damage so I sent them an email. They then informed me that they "must have been stretched and user damage isn't covered under warranty." I told them that they had absolutely not been stretched and had been looked after. They agreed to process another RMA request. I told them that I had not received any RMA label. They said not to worry, it could take a while to receive the label. Anyway, a couple of days passed. Still no label. I contacted then again via Live Chat. The advisor informed me that they had examined my previous chat history and that I would just have to wait for the RMA. It could "take some time." Well, I've still not received an RMA correspondence. In fact, today I got an email stating that as I hadn't responded, please could I could contact them if I still required help. I I can only presume that OnePlus do not have a procedure in place for creating RMAs outside of their website. Either that or they are inept beyond belief. I've replied to their last email and intend to give them a call tomorrow. The wait continues. [link] [comments]  |

It seems to be only when I am receiving and messages that are typically longer. | [Oneplus 3] Andoid 7 to 8 update Posted: 31 Jan 2019 05:04 AM PST Hey girls and guys. Here's some of the context. My phone is still running on Android 7.1.1 because I'm not the fan of changes, especially when everthing works just fine and I'd rather not mess it up. I even got used to constant update notification on my top bar - it's been like this for over a year. Despite my unwillingness, it'd be nice to have all those security updates and maybe perhaps any optimizations? Does Android 8 bring anything new? Or does it just slows down a phone? But my main goal is android 9 which will hopefully be realised for OP3. I have a feeling that they will be prepared for an update from Android 8 to 9 and less prepared for updates from 7 to 9 - does it make any sense? I just want my final update to Android 9 to go smoothly. Does it work this way? Anyways, what's your opinion on that? Should I stay at 7 until 9 is released or perhaps go with 8? Was working fine before the last update. Can someone help me out with some ideas? I have changed the codec in Dev options and it doesn't work. I installed a magisk module I did not mean to directly from Magisk manager called something like ignore notch and right after I installed an rebooted, I uninstalled it. Now, everytime it reboots it does the animation then goes to a dark screen with completely unresponsive buttons. But weirdly the battery still drains and the phone is warm. Is there anything I can do without completely wiping my data? [link] [comments]  |
