    So I just got this magnificent phone days ago and I've been enjoying it so far. I love that it can run games very smoothly batteries are superb and the File Manager is amazing. Anyway, I want to know some apps and tips that will help me optimize my usage of this phone. Also tell me how to take care of it, this is my 4th smartphone now and I want my phone to last for a long time (my longest one was 3 years). Thanks in advance!

    I am definitely going to buy a Xiaomi phone, I love the MIUI. I originally planned on buying a Mi 8, but as its the time of year when all of the birthday parties + christmas happen, I would have to wait until about March. So while thats an option, I'd like to see everyone else's input. The other phones I'm looking at are the Mi 8 Lite, Redmi Note 6 Pro, and I guess maybe the Pocophone F1 (I'm not sure why but I don't really like the phone much). Any input would be a help, thanks!

    Hey all, I was wondering when Android pie will be available in the Netherlands. I already see a lot of posts of people having Android pie, but I still haven't received anything yet.

    I keep trying to update it manually, but it's still at the November update.

    Does someone have a solution for it? Or can I use a VPN for it?

    Xiaomi Mi A2 touch latency

    I experienced a pretty strong touch latency on my Mi A2 since I bought it. Although, it only affects right and left edges of the screen and is particularly annoying while fast typing. Can anyone relate or give any information?

    PSA: Recent MIUI stable update may fix your Pocophone laggy input at screen borders

    MIUI-V10.0.6.0.OEJMIFH seems to have finally fixed my Pocophone's input lag near the screen borders, after nearly 3 months! If you still have this issue try updating and see if it's finally fixed, I know some people reported it as fixed ages ago but for others the problem persisted well into MIUI10. I'm using Gboard but the problem was never keyboard-specific to me.

    (for those who don't know what I'm talking about - open any text entry field and type "ph" or "qh" as fast as you can, for a lot of users the borders lag and so the text actually input would be "hp" or "hq". Very frustrating for fast typists wanting to hit shift, backspace, full stop, etc)

    Does anyone know if there's a Mi Mix 3 aftermarket case that locks down the sliding mechanism? I never use the selfie camera so I would like a bit more protection.

    Charging issue after update to MIUI 10

    Hi, as the title says after updating to MIUI 10 I have had this issue where the phone starts and stops charging randomly. It remains in this state of charging/not charging constantly. I have tried some fixes I have found on other posts but none has solved the problem. Have also tried different chargers and cables, still the same problem.

    I'm currently using a Redmi Note 4X. Any idea or advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

    I'm trying to install twrp on my note 5 pro but it says anti rollback check failed in the cmd fastboot command. Then I tried fastboot boot twrp.img and it booted with it, then I tried to flash the twrp image and still doesn't work. Also I tried to install camera2 api through that and doesn't work.

    Mi Mix 1 Camera Lens

    Alright I'm having a hell of a time with this. The camera lens on my Mix 1 got cracked while removing the crack during a repair. I cannot for the life of me find a replacement. I'm happy to buy it with a new camera is a necessary, but I can't even find that.

    I find it hard to believe that there's absolutely no way to find a replacement for this. All I get looking around is Mix 2 replacement and camera lens protectors. New backs don't seem to include the camera glass either.

    The cracks aren't actually over the camera sensor, so this isn't critical; it would just be nice to find one since it's such an easy replacement.

    If anyone knows where I can find a replacement at all that would be wonderful. From what I can see this is within the sidebar rules; hopefully part request posts are okay. Thanks guys.

    TL;DR: need a camera lens replacement for the Mi Mix 1.

    I just ordered a "Mi Rollerball Pen" (although the photos are of the Mijia), which as far as I understand, is the Xiaomi-branded successor to the Mijia Sign Pen. Is this true? And which is the aluminum pen, the Mijia or the Mi Rollerball?

    Drive PDF Viewer not showing menu bar.

    When I touch the display, the menu should drop down, but instead it jumps and glitches...

    It seems that some other apps suffer from similar problems, like Messenger...

    Mi 8 Lite - Worth the upgrade?

    So, my Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is 1 Year old and I've decided it's retirement, specially because my version is Mediatek (which I regret picking), meaning I'm stuck with MIUI 9 (Android 6.0) and it is obviously just not as good as it was a year ago.

    [STRAIGHT TO THE POINT]

    After a little research I've found that for my budget (I don't like to waste too much money on smartphones) which is 200$/€ the best options that popped out were:

    • Xiaomi Mi A2• Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite• Pocophone F1• Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite

    ​

    The first one eliminated was A2 Lite because unfortunately it's rocking a Snapdragon 625 / Adreno 506 so it's pretty inferior to the competitors here who mostly have the 660 / 512

    ​

    Therefore, Pocophone F1, besides being great overall, doesn't really seduce me when it comes to design, and I don't need that much raw power because I won't be doing much gaming, it's a daily use and I want to feel good with my tech.

    ​

    Ending up with Mi A2 and Mi 8 Lite, I think the choice is pretty clear, Mi 8 Lite is rocking MIUI 10 and I'm not looking for stock android, otherwise I would have other phones to consider.

    My final choice was to move from a Redmi Note 4 to a Mi 8 Lite.

    Can't get Dualshock 4 (DS4) controller working via USB (OTG) with Mi A1 phone

    I can't get my Dualshock 4 controller working on my phone via USB. I've tried a wired Xbox 360 controller and it works. I've also tried other devices (keyboard, mouse, pen drive), and the Dualshock 4 seems to be the only device that just won't work.

    I can get it working via Bluetooth, but there's a lot of delay, which is a common problem from what I've read.

    Does anyone have a solution for this? Thanks in advance.
