Let's petition for a stronger vibration motor on the Oneplus 7!!!

    Posted: 30 Nov 2018 09:44 AM PST

I have noticed that with the past releases of Oneplus phones (along with every other phone), around when the phone gets leaked and with release announcement pending, people start asking the manufacturers for features they hope will be included. However, by then it's too late. The phone has already been designed and it's already in the manufacturing phase.

So the best time to petition for what we want to see in the next Oneplus phone is now when they are still in the design phase.

So I say we start letting Oneplus know what we want in their next phone, and I for for one want a better haptic motor, cause it has sucked in all of the Oneplus phones i've owned so far.

    Should I use sRBG mode?

    Posted: 30 Nov 2018 04:25 PM PST

So, I got my 6T near release and love the phone, particularly the display coming from an iPhone 7. I thought it looked great and loved the vibrancy when I had it on default. For a little bit, I used adaptive but didn't prefer it, so I switched back to default.

I'd heard about sRBG color gamut being good on the phone and the default mode being oversaturated, but I didn't consider it too much. But, today, I learned about the different color calibrations like sRBG and DCI-P3.

I tried both again in settings and have briefly used sRBG, but it just looks really washed out to me. Is it supposed to look this way, or am I just too used to the colors of default? All of the colors just look much less poppy and vibrant. But, the question is should I be using sRGB? I really want to hear all your opinions.

Anyone have the Bullets V2 Wired? How are they?

    Posted: 30 Nov 2018 06:17 PM PST

I might pick them up. Are they just a sibling of the Bullets wireless ones? Or is there a significant difference? And how is your experience with them been in terms of sound quality, etc? Thanks!

I decided to go back to the Oneplus launcher, I'm very pleasantly surprised!

    This is my new homescreen

I really like the hide apps feature, it's still really easy to get to them (just swipe left in the app drawer), but your app drawer is now actually useful for finding the apps you want to find, and not cluttered with random support or stock apps. I'm also one of those few that really love the widget drawer, so it's always a plus to get it back!

I have a OP6 and my battery life is terrible

    Posted: 30 Nov 2018 05:55 PM PST

I got 18 hours with 2:15m sot today and my phone was at 5%. My internet, NFC and GPS is turned on most of the time and have two sim cards, but still, it is terrible compared to others who get 6+ hours sot. I am on 9.0.2 btw.

Also, fb Messenger uses the most battery by far, any way to fix this? It's not like that's the only app I'm using.

OP6: Sometimes I can't swipe down the notification bar, and the only soft key visible is the Back button

    Posted: 30 Nov 2018 12:33 PM PST

This has been happening possibly pre-Pie; I've tried everything possible short of a factory reset to fix it. Certain actions or events cause that to happen. Basically I can't swipe down on the notification bar, and the home and recents softkeys disappear from the navigation bar. I end up having to restart the phone to get everything back to normal.

This just happened for the first time in a long time, and what I did was plug in a flash drive and turn on USB OTG mode. Anyone seen this before?

Multitasking bugs - anyone else have them?

    Posted: 30 Nov 2018 07:24 PM PST

Whenever you open the multitasking window on OxygenOS Pie (I know it happens on the 6 with gestures on, so I'd assume the 6T as well) there is about a 15% chance the app preview is wrong. For example, I'll be having a conversation with a friend in Discord, go to another app, come back to Discord, and begin talking to someone else. Then, the window will suddenly change to the other screenshot from the time before I opened multitasking, with the other person. This isn't just with Discord, it's with most apps. Also, opening multitasking with an app that's in landscape usually just gives the app a black screen. Does anyone else have this happen to them? It sucks having these little things hurt the experience of an otherwise great Android skin for me. Sorry if it sounds like I'm whining, I just want to see if anyone else has this and how it's reproduced. Thanks!

Google Maps a Stuttery Mess on the 3T?

    Posted: 30 Nov 2018 04:33 AM PST

I've noticed google maps running like garbage for the first 5-10 secs when I load the app from the past 2-3 months.

I open the app and if I try to zoom in/out or type it stutters and takes a second or two to perform the action.

    Anyone else facing this issue.

    Oneplus 6T Notifications improvement?

    Posted: 30 Nov 2018 05:43 AM PST

Hello! I bought the phone pretty much at release and I love it. Really a nice phone all around except for the notifications. Even at max vibration, the phone don't vibrate strongly enough for me to notice it sitting on my desk and the lack of notification light does not help either. I could set it to ring mode, but I don't want to be the annoying guy at job with constant "bip" noise. Did some of you found a workaround?

Does the 6T support YouTube HDR?

    Posted: 30 Nov 2018 03:24 PM PST

XDA claims it does, however all previous models haven't. Can someone smarter than me and/or someone with a 6T clarify?

6T w/ Google Phone app and Visual Voicemail on Verizon

    Posted: 30 Nov 2018 09:56 AM PST

I figured how to achieve this finally!

    1) Make sure to initially make the OnePlus phone app the default phone app and enable visual voicemail on the voicemail tab of that app

    2) Download the Google Phone Go app from apkmirror here

    3) Set the Google Phone app as your default phone app in settings

    4) Open the Google Phone app (ignore unsupported dialog) and go to Voicemail tab, enable VVM

It should all work now. I was initially using a modded normal Google Phone app from XDA and it would not activate VVM. Enabling it in the OnePlus dialer half fixed it. The final verdict is that this Go app is the one that actually fully works.

Pressing any button increases the height while also scaling the album art as well.

    T-Mobile OnePlus 6t on MVNO

To anyone who, like me, was wondering if the camera was good enough on the 6T.....

    Posted: 30 Nov 2018 08:49 AM PST

You'll be absolutely fine. The camera is great. Might not be ideal if you're a wannabe pro photographer, but then why are you using your phone?

Two problems I found with my op6

    Posted: 30 Nov 2018 06:31 AM PST

I just got my op6 two days ago and there are two things that frustrate me. First is the voice match. I enabled unlock with voice match, and apparently it can only be used once then it automatically disables both access and unlock with voice match. I looked up on this issue and seems like some people have similar issue, clearing data and cache of Google doesn't work, restarting phone doesn't work, anyone here experiencing same issue or know how to fix this? The second thing is the volume button. Pressing the volume button once doesn't increase or decrease the volume, it only brings up the volume bar, you need to press it once more in order to increase or decrease the volume. Small thing but annoying at that.

Weird issue: when using a sleep timer (on any app apparently ) it sometimes turns to high volume at some point .

    Posted: 30 Nov 2018 04:02 PM PST

I thought it was me not fully falling asleep and being startled by the presence of the sound shortly before entering sleep but when controlling volume it's actually much higher than when starting the sleep timer

Random Loud Screech Of Static While Using Bluetooth

    Posted: 30 Nov 2018 03:05 PM PST

So I'm on the new Android 9 and I just got my OnePlus 6. However, when I use my Bluetooth headphones, with the phone it'll sometimes let out a random loud screech of static.
