    Realtek audio / Win10 1803

    Posted: 30 Oct 2018 08:57 AM PDT

I have just gotten my second call from a client with an HP laptop with realtek audio where they are no longer getting sound. Has anyone run into this? Interestingly in both cases (different model HPs) the support site had a specific 1803 realtek sound driver, however installing it did not restore sound. Changing to the generic "high definition audio device" from Microsoft didn't work either, and running the built in troubleshooters were just a waste of 2 minutes. Oddly enough, both cases where this happened, there were no indications that updates had been installed within the past few days of the issue occurring, and 1803 had been installed some time ago on both. Everything as far as Windows goes indicates the driver and device are working properly. I am confident this is a software issue not a hardware issue, but I am out of ideas.

    Need help with PSU.

    Posted: 30 Oct 2018 10:42 AM PDT

I need to find out how to test PG or PWR_OK on the PSU "DPS-300AB-73 B". It does not have a "blue" cable that most standard PSU's have which is for the -12VDC or in some cases (Blue) Power Ok (+5V & +3.3V is ok) on the HP Workstations. The computer this PSU came from was an HP Envy 750-124. Have tried many PSU tester and get the same result PG 0sm or PG F on the Dr. Power II tester. Thanks for any help.
