    Ancients Reborn MMORPG

    Posted: 21 Oct 2018 10:52 AM PDT

Just found this game whilst browsing the store. What a gem.

Not many downloads atm (it's early access) but it's very well built tbh.

For now, it's a grindy, Eu styled MMO with 0 quests. You kill things, get loot, sell and buy gear (can fish, mine, cook and smith too)

Has a very small yet extremely friendly and active community. No VIP system, no auto, no MT.

Just thought i would share my thoughts on the game, and hope to get it noticed instead of being buried by these JRPG's that flood the store.

    Siralim 3 or Minecraft

    Posted: 21 Oct 2018 04:33 PM PDT

I'm going on a weeklong work trip and will be staying in a hotel. Normally I can bring my laptop and pass the time with Morrowind or some equally engrossing single-player title. My laptop is busted, however.

So now I'm left wondering. I have enough Play credit to get Siralim 3 (been following the series, never actually played) or Minecraft (play it all the time, have experience with Pocket Edition already). Which one would you guys get if you were in my situation, and looking for the kind of experience I am?

I ask like this because I realize how subjective this is. I just want to hear some alternative reasoning and see if it sways me one way or the other. Thanks!

[Request] An Android Game Like "Highrise" ?

    Posted: 21 Oct 2018 05:10 PM PDT

A friend of mine has an iPhone and she's been playing Highrise.

    https://www.highrisegame.com

It bills itself as a "virtual world". Basically, it's like a vamped up much nicer Habbo Hotel, if any of you remember that game. Make an avatar, interact with other folks, make rooms and virtual cafes and such and play games to win objects and clothes and such. It looks like a fun game (embarrassingly enough), but it's only for the iOS. I can't get the urge to play it out of my head, though. I'm hoping you guys can suggest similar games.

I found Hotel Hideaway but it didn't really have much for games, it was pretty much useless without dumping tons of money into it, and everyone there was like 12 years old. I also found IMVU but the mobile version is pretty limited in comparison to the pc version. You can't really do much without hopping onto the pc to set the bulk of it up.

Is there anything else even slightly similar?

Thanks for any help you can give!

What controller can remap without root?

    Posted: 21 Oct 2018 04:21 PM PDT

Since all apps require root access in order to remap controller buttons I'm thinking maybe I'm better off buying a different controller that has app included with the ability to remap buttons without root. Is there one?

    Worth coming back to?

    Posted: 21 Oct 2018 06:23 PM PDT

    Unison League

    Logres

    Kingdom Hearts Union χ

I've played all of these before (mostly for the character customization), but eventually got burned out on them.

A bit of time has passed since then, and I'm wondering if any of them are worth coming back to.

If it makes any difference, I'll probably be F2P and starting over from scratch.

So, are any one of these three worth playing again?

    Thanks in advance!

[DEV] Need some help with our hero designs

    Posted: 21 Oct 2018 10:02 PM PDT

    Hi,

My team has been working on some designs for new heroes to be put in our tower defense game. We would greatly appreciate it if you could take a look at the designs to help us decide which are better than others.

(Request) Any nonpay to win versions of game of war?

    Posted: 21 Oct 2018 09:53 PM PDT

I have a friend whos really into games like game of war, viking war of clans, lords mobile etc. But he wont spend thousands a month to be competitive. Looking for something where small micro transactions are ok, i.e. you can spend less than $100 a month and still be competetive.

Looking for a game recommendation that fits these requirements

    Posted: 21 Oct 2018 09:46 PM PDT

I've been searching for and trying to find games that sort of fit all this, but no luck. Any recs appreciated! Obviously I"m willing to shell out a few bucks up front for a good game.

    • No Microtransactions, or at least they don't bug you about it and the game can be played normally without purchasing them. Ads are fine if they're not intrusive.
    • No boosts/bonuses/whatever bullshit that have to be applied before playing
    • You can actually start playing the game a few seconds after opening it, without going through layers of menus (Fire Emblem Heroes takes a full minute before i'm even playing a match and it pisses me off)
    • Can be played vertically (preferable but not required)
    • No onscreen D-pad/buttons

Mobile games I have really enjoyed in the past:

    • Downwell
    • Reigns
    • Drag'n'Boom
    • Dungeon Cards
    • Bluk
    • Wordscapes

I'm willing to shell out up to $5 for something like this, maybe more. Thanks!

High quality Android game for a trip?

    Posted: 21 Oct 2018 05:02 AM PDT

I'll be spending a good portion of the next two weeks across the country, on a business trip.

With no access to a car, I will be pretty much restricted to my hotel after work. I'm looking for a quality Android game I can play to pass the time. Willing to pay as much as it costs.

Was thinking of KOTOR because I loved that back on PC. Any other suggestions? I have the Note 9 so I can run anything out there.

    I cant stand tutorials

    Posted: 21 Oct 2018 04:38 AM PDT

It takes like 10 minutes to complete a useless tutorial that you may or not need, why so many games dont even give you the option to skip.

Which games would you guys recommend that has controller support?

    Posted: 21 Oct 2018 06:43 AM PDT

So far I've played GTA: SA, Dead Effect 2 and Modern Combat 5. I usually play all genres. These are just the games I've played with a Bluetooth controller

Searching for a new (possibly in soft-launch) free turn-based RPG, suggestions?

    Posted: 21 Oct 2018 06:02 PM PDT

I've played Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes and Marvel Strike Force; I'm burned out on both. I'd like something that has only been out for a few weeks, if possible. I've been searching other threads on this sub and I've found a few that I'm gonna try out later tonight. I figured it couldn't hurt to ask for a specific, TIA

[DEV] Kakapo Calypse 2: 2D Action RPG

    Posted: 21 Oct 2018 07:58 AM PDT

Hey, i've been developing this game for almost a year now and its finally available: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ichbinhamma.kakapocalypse2

You play as a kakapo, a heavy, flightless bird at the brink of extinction. In this game the kakapo ensures his survival by using an arsenal of weapons and armors to fight his predators.

Currently there are over 40 unique items (including swords, guns, scythes, axes, lances and many more!) and over 30 different skills!

I would love to get some feedback!

    Quest For the perfect controller

    Posted: 21 Oct 2018 02:17 AM PDT

So I stream and record a lot of game play on my phone and one thing I hate is the fact that games like PUBG, Fortnight, ArmaJet are incredibly difficult if using just the touch screen controls. I need some help finding recommendations for this.

    My requirements are that:

    1. Can Fit Note 8 (bonus Points if it can fit with UAG case)
    2. Must have access to USB C Port
    3. R1/2 L1/2 style buttons
    4. good response / Low lag.
    5. it can either be Bluetooth or plugged in via USB-C

    Anyone have any recommendations?

    Thanks guys!
