    Is there a way to watch Youtube on full screen without cutting ? on Note 9

    Just got the Note 9, and learned about the Pinch-Zoom to fill the screen(remove black bars) but the videos get cut too much IMO, is there a way to fill it without cutting to much?

    smart remote won't power on/off home theater

    I have my smart remote paired fine to my panasonic receiver for volume up/down and mute - but frustratingly the smart remote will not power on/off the unit when turning the tv on. has anyone come up with anything? it's optical out from tv to receiver. leaving me with two remotes kinda defeats the purpose of the whole universal remote thing, thanks for any input!

    different ringtones for indvidual contacts

    Hey huys, I need help with my samsung galaxy A3 (2017). I can't find the optin to assign a different ringtone to a contact, there is only the option to set your default ringtone which only works for all contacts. I'm running android 8.0.0

    I have my phone set to trusted places and my smart watch. But if it's in airplane how is it still unlocking? Doesn't airplane made kill everything that would detect a device or location?

    Samsung Akg tuned headphones

    Make apps not use the full height aspect ratio

    I seem to recall when I first got my S9 and opened an app like Instagram it had black bars at the top and bottom. Then it asked me "would you like this app to take up the full screen" to take advantage of the full height aspect ratio and I always said yes. How do I undo that for certain apps? When I search for full screen app in the settings, full screen means unpin the nav bar and make it hide itself, which isn't what I want to do.

    TLDR: How to undo Samsung using the phone's full height aspect ratio for certain apps?

    I specifically talking about Instagram, because the stories are displayed with a significant portion of the side of the photos cut off.

    Moving from iPhone to the Note 9 -- Google Photos Back Up and Stock Gallery app...

    I just moved over from the iPhone X to the Note 9 yesterday (loving the device) but had a question regarding photos. I used the Google Photo app to backup all my photos and videos from my iPhone. I notice that I can see the photos in the Google Photo app on the Note 9 (obviously..) but I'd like to get those photos into the stock gallery app so that I can pull those photos up in other applications. It seems that unless it's in the stock gallery app, other applications aren't able to access the photo. Is there a way to accomplish this?

    Is anyone else experiencing poor call quality/dropped calls with the Note 9?

    I have yet to have a completely clean experience when on a phone call with someone with my Note 9 since I got it on the 23rd. This runs from dropping calls to people saying they often cannot clearly hear me, even though I can hear them just fine.

    This is true from any location I have tried calling from and with wifi calling turned on and off.

    Anyone else experience this or have any guidance about a solution to this issue? AT&T btw.

    Note 9 Firmware Flash

    I have a US unlocked Note 9, and AT&T is my carrier. If I flash the AT&T firmware, will:

    1) The device brick because it's not "stock" firmware?

    2) Will I still get OTA updates?

    Galaxy Note 9 Locations Services

    I'm curious if anyone else has experienced trouble with the location services (GPS) on their Note 9. I'm visiting family in Newport News, VA and this entire week have been unable to use Google Maps or Waze. Both are way off on my location, like over 1000 feet. Some times it's corrected with a phone reboot, but not for long. I'm going to do further testing with another phone, but so far it appears to be specifically with my note 9.

    Samsung Notebook warranty repair - came back scratched

    i just went through a warranty repair on my samsung notebook because it wouldnt boot up. I received it today and it i see a scratch on the metal surface (lid). i'm extremely frustrated because its only a few months old and i took care of the computer so well to avoid any scratches. what should i do? should i give them a call to get this fixed? I'm also worried that they might want me to evidence that the scratch wasn't there before.

    any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Smartswitch: transfering app data?

    Hello reddit,

    I'm probably receiving my Note 9 tomorrow. If I use smart switch to transfer my apps from my current Galaxy S7 to the Note9, will app data also be transferred? Or will I have to setup each app again?

    If the answer is no, is there another way to transfer app data without rooting? I heard helium backups app data.
