[Request] Games like Rimworld or Banished?

    Posted: 11 Sep 2018 06:31 PM PDT

The title. I enjoy those single player colony manager type games. But most apps even a little like them are multiplayer and raiding other people.

Android community, you guys rock. Because of you i persisted and made a sequal. TapRPG 2 - The Second one is out!

    Posted: 11 Sep 2018 07:06 PM PDT

Hey everyone. A year and a half ago I started making my first major project, TapRPG - Homeland. The support, help, and feedback after that was released (Free on Android, cheap on iphone and Steam) was amazing.

I had some awesome people pick up homeland and do Playthroughs. And people yearned for more.

So I embarked on TapRPG 2 - The Second One (The title makes sense when you play it, i promise!)

The process to make this was a lot easier, I used the base engine from number 1 and improved it immensely. Story was the name of the game in this one, so many twists and turns and even a secret ending!

To thank you guys, if you played number 1, reply here with a screenshot of your stats and I'll give out some free steam and android keys for number 2. I'll put on a sale on homeland on steam in a couple of weeks so it will just cost $1, so wishlist that to keep track.

A little on the gameplay: A classic topdown overworld with lots to explore. The dungeons/levels are 2d sidescrollers where your hero automatically walks forward. When you engage an enemy you have an attack button, defend button, potions and jump. It's about learning the monsters patterns to defend when it gives it attack cue and smashing attack when you've stunned it. If you have god like mashing skills you'll be very successful. Because you can defend, dodge, tap falling obstacles you can get through the game with skill alone (with a few stat checks), but for the more casual you can level up and get stronger, buy more wepaons, et cetera, so you will always progress.

Here are some links and screenshots to finish with. Thanks a lot everyone. I couldn't have done it without you all.

Why do so many games require access to all photos and media on your device?

    Posted: 11 Sep 2018 06:33 AM PDT

It really annoys me when a game want the above access to your phone when there doesn't seem to be any justification for it. It seems a lot of games in the Play Store top charts do this. All I can think of for a legitimate reason for this is if it can record/submit game play footage for you. I don't know if they do this as I won't install them. So why do they want to look at my collection of naked selfies!? Are they selling my data? To whom?

Leap Day, a challenging one-tap platformer. Highly recommended!

    Posted: 11 Sep 2018 10:26 AM PDT

I grabbed Leap Day a couple of days ago when it was mentioned in a game request thread. It's a few years old but completely slipped under my radar.

It's a challenge-based platformer, more Meat Boy than Mario. Your character runs automatically and jumps when you tap. Tap again in mid-air to double jump. Colliding with a wall in mid-air initiates a wall-slide, and tapping from there wall-jumps.

Each level is a single screen wide and progresses vertically, broken up into about 15 individual "challenges," with checkpoints between them. The difficulty slowly ramps up as you ascend, mixing and matching obstacles like spikes, ice walls, guillotines, fireballs... You get the idea.

A new level is released every day. You can go play the entire backlog once you complete your first level.

I highly recommend you check it out, especially if you're looking for a game that goes great with podcasts without being totally brain-dead.

In the Oasis Kingdom, you can be a king, recruit an army and control castles.

check out the game : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.AlexSW.WarTB

    Intro

More than ten unique parts including forest, desert, volcano and more. Each section having multiple castles/buildings to fight over and conquer. There will be challenging battles that will require you to think and plan strategies for each of them. When a soldier dies it's permanent while you can recruit more you need to be a good commander because your funds are limited. Conquer all the castles on a map to unlock the boss battle and move on to the next map. The Oasis Kingdom is a strategy game with an open map where the player can roam around, attack enemies and siege castles. Battles are turned based with the option to make them automatic.

    Characters

Each character will have different stats such as Hit points, attack range, attack factor, defense factor, movement points, speed, and action points (per turn). This stats will be different depending on the character, for example, a warrior with a shield will have high hit points and defense while a ranger will have a high range, high attack and low defense & hit points. There will be at least ten sections each with more than two conquerable buildings. The terrain will be different for each of them, on some rangers characters will have cover and the advantage while in others. In some instances, the terrain will be interactive and even while changing. In the forest, you will see medieval castles, while in the desert you can see the pyramids. In addition, there will be a secret (easter egg) section.

    Inventory/Unit System

You will be able to recruit different units with different skills using gold. You gain gold by defeating enemies and controlling castles. Its permanent death, meaning when a unit dies you will lose it. The difficulty also increases the more castles you own

Need advice/feedback about whether my game clearly explain the user about the game play.

    Posted: 11 Sep 2018 05:19 PM PDT

    Hello all,

In my game, I used to only show a dialog box about how to play game when a user opens my game for first time. However, after feedback and observation from some of the friends, I realized that I need to do little more to explain the user about gameplay. So, now I am showing the "how to play" dialog box in the first level and also doing some animation in the first 3 levels to explain the users about the gameplay. Could anyone of you please try and let me know whether this is ok or still need improvements? I am also open to any suggestions about it. You can search for "Number go" for android/iOS.

    Thanks,

    Arsalan

    Posted: 11 Sep 2018 05:44 AM PDT

Simple question: does somebody has aaaaaany informations about the release of this game or the android status?

You can pre register it since 2 days on apkpure, but nothing to see in the play store of it. YouTube doesn't have any new videos either from the last couple of weeks

It baffles me that they praised and announced it so high a few months earlier and now nothing

(Ps3 controller) does Usb/BT joystick center work on android Oreo?

    Posted: 11 Sep 2018 05:50 PM PDT

I want to use a wireless ps3 controller instead of buying a cheap no brand gamepad. I don't have an otg cable so I want to use bluetooth even if a have to root my brand new phone but I heard that sixaxis no longer works on android oreo and I don't want to root and lose my warranty for nothing.

Can anyone confirm if it's working or not?
