| Looking for honest opinions about Xiaomi phones. Posted: 01 Aug 2018 08:38 PM PDT Hey, I'm looking to upgrade my phone of four years, and I've narrowed it down to either the Mi Mix 2, Huawei Mate 10 Pro, or the Oneplus 6. I read the wiki, and I wanted some clarification as well as opinions of this company and their phones. I read that I should create a Mi account, is this like the apple account type of deal? Or what is it exactly? Also, what are things you guys like about this company/phones, and what are somethings you dislike about the company/phones? Specifically the Mi Mix 2 since that is the only phone I could really get that supports my network bands. Edit: By the way, I don't consider the MIUI as a con. I actually think it looks kind of cute. The colors are all childlike if that makes sense. Also, I don't take selfies, so the bottom camera placement is of no concern to me. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Anyone else annoyed with Mi A1 capacitive buttons light? Posted: 01 Aug 2018 11:31 AM PDT I got this phone today and I'm very pleased with it, but this thing with lights is killing me. It's impossible to play games, light keeps flashing on and off for the whole time and it's so distracting. Why would anyone do this? I had a bunch of Android phones and not one of them did turn the button lights on (unless you touched them) while using touchscreen. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Xiaomi Amazfit Bip and Huawei P8 Lite connection problems Posted: 01 Aug 2018 02:53 PM PDT Hi all, a my friend bought the Xiaomi Amazfit Bip for his daughter but we find some problems during with connection with the phone, a Huawei P8 Lite (the 2015 version). The Mi Fit app doesn't correctly detect the Bip and therefore we can't use any function since the clock is blocked on the connection screen. I tried to connect it to a Samsung Galaxy S8 and the connection works properly. I seem to have understood that this phone has some problems to connect to accessories through Mi Fit app. Is there an alternative way to connect the watch to the phone without using the Mi Fit app?
