Redmi Note 5 4GB (Taiwan Global Version w/ Band 2 and 28) - $169.99 (LOWEST I've seen) Posted: 08 Aug 2018 04:42 PM PDT Just bought the RN5 4GB Taiwan Global vers. that comes with additional LTE band 2 and 28 from this seller for $169.99 with 15% off eBay Code (PRONTO15) here. Don't know if they ship worldwide, but here's another seller that does. However, they sell for $15 more off the original price. These are still the cheapest Taiwan Global version that I've seen though. The next cheapest price is at ~USD230 (CAD 299) sold by JP Mobiles from Canada. The Taiwan Global version (M1803E7SH) is special because unlike the normal Global version (M1803E7SG) that is sold in Hong Kong, the Taiwan Global has additional LTE band 2 and 28 along with the usual band 4 (needed in the USA). These are great for users like me who could really benefit from the extra band 2. I'm located in So Cal and uses T-Mobile, which provides Band 2 and 4 LTE signal in my area. This deal may even be cheaper than the common global version that are at regular price! Initially I thought about waiting for the Black RN5 6GB ram Taiwan Global vers to release, but this deal seals the deal with $100+ savings. If the black 6GB Taiwan Global do ever release, it would probably cost $270+. $100 for 2 extra GB ram just doesn't make sense at this point. Even if you cannot get it with the eBay promo, the Taiwan Global 4GB vers for $199 original price is still better than the regular global version that you find everywhere for the same or higher price. This deal is great for US buyers too because the sellers are located in the US, which means faster shipping (No slow shipping from China/Hong Kong). [link] [comments]
Mi A2 vs redmi note 5, how better is the mi camera? Posted: 08 Aug 2018 12:35 PM PDT Hello, I was looking at the current budget lineup of xiaomi for around 250 USD, the note 5 is still the best when it comes to value, the A2 is right around the corner. If someone would like to buy the best camera performance in this range, is the a2 cameras a lot better than that of the note 5? Because it's a bit pricer and the battery is much smaller. The gain in performance is not that big of a deal. Anybody tried both and came up with a conclusion? Should I wait for a slim chance of a global mi 8 se or a note 5 successor? [link] [comments]

Redmi Note 4 still a good purchase? Posted: 08 Aug 2018 10:04 PM PDT Currently looking at Xiaomi for a new phone on the budget side of things, however I prefer stock Android so I've been eyeing the Redmi Note 4 since Lineage OS doesn't seem to support any other of the devices I've looked at (Redmi S2, Redmi 5 Plus, etc.), and Aliexpress carries them for cheap. That said, the phone was released all the way back in the beginning of 2017. My main concern is that even though it carries basically the same specs I might get a way better deal with some other newer devices, regardless of MIUI. btw I do know about the Mi A2 Lite, but it goes above budget sadly. Maybe I can make a sacrifice and save for it...? Dunno Edit: Forgot to mention, I'm comparing the 3GB/32GB version of the devices. [link] [comments]

Posted: 08 Aug 2018 11:02 AM PDT By app lock ,I mean like this for example When you see the ad , usually leading to some shopping site, just give it a gentle downward slide in the upper half of the screen. (Don't tap, if you tap it , it will lead to the advt website.) When you do this a very little '❌' mark will appear on the top, tap on it and it will permanently disable ads there. (I could not post screenshots here because the screenshots have been disabled I the app lock screen) Please upvote for visibility. [link] [comments]

Sound amplification differences in different regions Posted: 08 Aug 2018 10:01 PM PDT After some testing I figured out that for the whole center Europe (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Austria and few more regions) the volume is a lot lower than it should be (in headphones). All the other regions have much louder sound. Any idea why this is happening? [link] [comments]

Posted: 08 Aug 2018 11:20 AM PDT God I am so sorry for creating posts about my phone over and over, but I keep running into new issues today while I am fully trying it out, and google doesn't help me, nor does the discord. The issue I have right now is that when I'm recording video, it will always show as vertical video when I look it up on my computer, even though I hold the phone sideways while I'm recording. I tried changing literally every setting under the 'Camera' section. Running on MIUI Global 9.6 Stable / 9.6.4.0 (0DGMFID) [link] [comments]
[Questions] Is there a way for the MIUI team to notice our complaint? Posted: 08 Aug 2018 08:50 PM PDT I (maybe along with others) have problems with battery drain after upgrading to MIUI 9 and now on 9.6.2.0 the problem still exist and become worst(at least for me). It maybe because I do some heavy gaming but previously the usage can last to 6-8 hours gaming and still have spare like 2-3 hours standby time. And now it reduced to only 1-2 hours maximum 3 hours of gaming time. The battery reduced so much up to the point I think the battery is a bit bulky(more fat than before, yep I think some battery drainage problem). I want to change my battery to a new one but if the problem still exist should I change the battery? Because you know, it'll ended up the same anyway and the cost of new battery is like 1/3 of the phone price Is there a way for the team to notice our complaints about the battery issues? I saw posts on MIUI forum and there is still no solution or proper answer from MIUI team [link] [comments]
