Posted: 01 Aug 2018 07:26 AM PDT Hey guys, what do you think about my modded OP 6 with clear back? It's fully functional, the only downside is the voided warranty. Took me about 3-4 hours. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! EDIT2: How i did it: For the most part i followed Zack's Tutorial ( if you don't know him, his YouTube name is "JerryRigEverything"). I took the back off by applying heat with a heat gun and gently sliding a metal tool between the metal frame and the glass to loose the glue. After that i started scraping off the color until i could rip it off in bigger chuncks. Then i cut as much plastic as possible off the frames on the top and the bottom (this part was rather intense haha). Put a black foil around the battery (will change it to red in the next days), cleaned the glass and the inside from old glue, applied the new one and put everything back together. Posted: 01 Aug 2018 10:59 AM PDT Does anyone else's camera on the 3T just not focus at all? Every picture I try to take with the camera is extremely blurry, essentially making the camera useless. Even when the camera isn't blurry the picture quality is very bad. The front facing camera is fine. [link] [comments]
Total call time on OnePlus 3T? Posted: 01 Aug 2018 05:20 PM PDT It used to be that you could see how much time you've spent talking on the phone. While I'm not sure if OnePlus ever had an option to see total call time, I sure as heck can't find it now. Running OxygenOS 5.0.4 on OnePlus 3T. Does anyone know where this option is or what I can use to check total call time? [link] [comments]
[WTB] OnePlus Original Backpack Posted: 01 Aug 2018 07:56 PM PDT Looking to find the original white/grey backpack. There are some ebay but coming from China could be over a month and was looking for one for an upcoming trip. [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Aug 2018 02:53 PM PDT Hey, I'm looking for some cases for my new 6. I wanted a metal bumper case (preferably with a glass back) similar to this one. There are no reviews on this one, so I'm looking for other ones online. Does anyone have suggestions on what to buy? [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Aug 2018 04:26 AM PDT Every video on Youtube I see shows the OP6 to have a better camera than the S9+ and iPhone X(Main not secondary), the only camera that seems to be better is the P2XL but I am not a fan of the direction Google took with it. However every review on Reddit seems to shit on the camera, and some of the earlier blindtests in May have bad samples from the OP6, what gives? The only reason I am getting a 6 over the 5T is because the camera seems incredible. [link] [comments]
What aosp rom and eas kernel do you recommend? Posted: 01 Aug 2018 03:46 PM PDT Ive been using my oneplus 3 on oxygen os 5.04 with elementalx kernel and Im wondering what aosp rom and eas kernel you would recommend? [link] [comments]
What case are you using with the OnePlus 6 Red? Posted: 01 Aug 2018 04:18 AM PDT Suggest me some good looking cases for OP6 Red. I am using the default case at the moment. I know this phone is too beautiful to put a case on, but at the same time it's too beautiful to ruin the back... [link] [comments]
How does the stock dialer in the Android P beta compare to the Google dialer on the OnePlus 6? Posted: 01 Aug 2018 02:25 PM PDT How's the dialer/phone app in the Android P beta on the OnePlus 6? I ask because, as a new OnePlus user, the stock dialer in OxygenOS 5.1.9 is kind of disappointing relative to the current Google dialer app on, say, the Nexus 6P. Specifically, I note the small contact images (I get from other posts here and on the OnePlus forums that this is subjective), use of tiny, low contrast fonts (for example, phone numbers on the call history tab), the lack of Caller ID (I believe this is a Google service but I miss it), and no more Google transcription of T-Mobile voicemail. It also seems that the T-Mobile "Scam Likely" IDs are also not working but I've not had the phone long enough to be sure. The OnePlus 6 is really great in many ways but I'm also really missing these features. I get that some are Google and T-Mobile specific but, just saying. Are any of these different in the Android P beta? Thanks in advance, anything you might offer is much appreciated. [link] [comments]
To those who bought OnePlus 5T when it first launched, how is the performance? Posted: 01 Aug 2018 02:07 PM PDT How does it hold up after over half a year? I'm considering trying out the OnePlus 6 but first I want to know if OnePlus phones suffer from the major lag that most Android users experience a few months in. Is it minor hiccups or full out app crashes? [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Aug 2018 09:59 AM PDT Hey guys! Where I live it gets really hot in the summer, many times with temperatures reaching 40 Degrees Celsius (40º) and my OP5 easily reaches 40-45 ºC during gaming and intensive use. I use a dbrand skin as well. Should I be worried with temperatures like these I mentioned? [link] [comments]

Maybe dumb question about Google Assistant on the Oneplus 6 Posted: 01 Aug 2018 12:49 PM PDT Does the google assistant need to be activated somehow or is it maybe region locked? I live in Finland and I cant find it anywhere... Any suggestions? [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Aug 2018 12:18 AM PDT I got my OnePlus 6 just after release and loving it apart from a few issues when I use Spotify. First of all after I skip two songs it freezes on the third with no change of interface but the song is playing/moving onto the next, I have to minimise then reopen to see the actual song playing or where the timer is in the song. The bigger issue is that it randomly stops playing music every now and then, the app continues to run but the music pauses seemingly every 30 minutes or so. I use the app daily and want to know if there is something I can do to sort out this problem as it is a minor inconvenience. Thanks, Fluffy EDIT Further research shows that this is quite a universal problem, with all the problems sounding very familiar: "I'm experiencing an issue with Spotify on my One Plus 6: when I'm listening to music through wireless headset or jack cable in my car, Spotify randomly pause the current song I'm listening to and I have to unlock it and push the play button to continue listening until it happens again." a user left a comment on Reddit. "I've something similar, when using Spotify no problems. But when I've stopped using the app and after a while resume music, there is no notification icon in the status bar, and also nothing on the lock screen. I do hear the music, see the in- app controls, with the play and pause button. But can't control it from the lock screen and also car audio doesn't show title playing. Need to kill the app from multi task screen and open app again." commented a user on XDA forum. "I have noticed issues with Spotify after the last 2 updates. First, when I skip 2-3 songs the picture freezes and the title gets stuck, the music keeps playing but I can't read which song it is. Also the playback notification only works some times, most of the times it doesnt show even though everything is turned on never experience anything like it on my op3 before and also havent found any issues with the app in general. My friends with other phones don't have spotify issues since the last weeks which makes me think it is phone related.Spotify is an app I use a lot and I find these issues really annoying." More looking and I've found this possible solution on another reddit post: " I've disconnected my account from the Spotify app, reinstalled it and I've reconnected and I don't have issue anymore. Hope my case will work for others, thank you everyone for contributing to this thread. " I can't test this right now but will when I get home, please post if you found this working for you! Mobile data issues with T-Mobile in Germany Posted: 01 Aug 2018 08:55 AM PDT I received my Oneplus 6 a couple of days ago and overall I am very happy with the device. I use two sim cards (one private, one for work) and use the mobile data with my private one in SIM slot 1. The issue I encountered is, that sometimes I seem to lose my mobile internet connection (not WIFI). According to the symbols at the bar on top everything is in order. I have a strong overall signal and the mobile connection is active, but I can't access anything online. Once i disable and reenable by tapping the mobile data icon, everything works again after a short time. I used the SIM card in my Blackberry KeyOne and had no issues with mobile data, but strangely enough I had the EXACT same problem with my WIFI connection at home and had to reconnect for things to work. So now, things are the other way around. I have no issues with my WIFI connection at home, but with my mobile connection through T-Mobile, having to reset the connection for things to work again. Any ideas? [link] [comments]
Convincing myself to buy the oneplus 6 Posted: 01 Aug 2018 08:44 AM PDT So, my current phone is a Moto Z play. It still works great, it's not broken, the battery still lasts a day, only problem is it lags a bit sometimes, opening apps or switching between apps can take a second or two, sometimes there is some lag while using facebook or some other app. It is also still on adroid 7.1, and I don't think they'll upgrade it, not even to 8.0. So, should I upgrade? And what phone did you have before the oneplus 6? Why did you change? How is the op6 treating you so far? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Aug 2018 08:32 AM PDT Just saw that I've many small scratches on my official OP6 screen protector. Any way to remove them? [link] [comments] |
