HTCU12+ Optical sensor bug? Posted: 09 Aug 2018 12:13 AM PDT Hey guys, yesterday i noticed when i look at my phone trough another camera, there is a constant blinking purple light - even when the screen is off if i move the phone it starts blinking. The light is not visible without a camera so i guess its some sort of optical sensor (between the led indicator and speaker on front). I tracked all my settings and found out the light turns off only when i disable Edge sense and is not affected by the "HOLD Gestures" which seem most logical to use this sensor. Is anyone else experiencing this and is there a solution to use the Edge sense and turn off this optical sensor, as of now i have turned off Edge sense and i see a significant battery life improvement which i think is connected to this bug. submitted by /u/seek3r_ [link] [comments]
