[dev][indie] Oasis kingdom - 1+ year of work

[dev][indie] Oasis kingdom - 1+ year of work

In Oasis Kingdom, you can be a king, recruit an army and control castles. With more than ten unique parts including forest, desert, volcano and more. Each section having more than two castles to fight over and conquer. There will be challenging battles that will require you to think and plan strategies for each of them. When a soldier dies it's permanent while you can recruit more you need to be a good commander because your funds are limited.

    https://i.redd.it/zqwbqpmfhrd11.png

    Characters

Each character will have different stats such as Hit points, attack range, attack factor, defense factor, movement points, speed, and action points (per turn). This stats will be different depending on the character, for example, a warrior with a shield will have high hit points and defense while a ranger will have a high range, high attack and low defense & hit points. Current controllable characters: warrior, ranger, horseman, and spear-warrior.

    Terrain and Levels

There will be at least ten sections each with more than two conquerable buildings. The terrain will be different for each of them, on some rangers characters will have cover and the advantage while in others. In some instances, the terrain will be interactive and even while changing. In the forest, you will see medieval castles, while in the desert you can see the pyramids. In addition, there will be a secret (easter egg) section.

    Inventory/Unit System

You will be able to recruit different units with different skills using gold. You gain gold by defeating enemies and controlling castles. Its permanent death, meaning when a unit dies you will lose it. The difficulty also increases the more castles you own

    Heroes - coming soon

The player will have the ability to pick a hero. These are customizable characters that will have the ability to level up and you will decide how to increase its attributes. In addition, they will have additional skills to power up your army.

over a year of work, 2.7 million total written and generated lines of code:

[Dev] Hey everyone, "Hexic" is a puzzle game I made and published on Google Play.

    Posted: 02 Aug 2018 05:51 AM PDT

It is a calm puzzle game that's easy to understand but hard to master. You have to strategically place and merge tiles to get as far as you can.

I'm pretty proud of it and would love you guys to check it out.

Which JRPG or JRPG style games are out there?

    Posted: 02 Aug 2018 08:24 PM PDT

I've been playing onigo hunter, doom and destiny also mystery of furtune 2 although I prefer the first 2. Those are examples of the kind of combat I'm looking for. Also I want a nice story like FF titles or Legends of Dragoon.

I prefer F2P and if there is a MMORPG in that style that would be great. I said JRPG but it doesn't have to be made in Japan just the combat style not necessarily the graphic style.

TL;DR looking for a legend of dragoon style game mmo is a plus.

Idk how to add the request flair I'm looking rn

Are there games similar to Pathfinder Adventures?

    Posted: 02 Aug 2018 07:31 PM PDT

Or games with on-the-fly deck building aspect would be nice. If there's also RPG element in it that would be cherry on top. Cheers!

Black Rectangle In Landscape Mode While Gaming

    Posted: 02 Aug 2018 08:58 AM PDT

Hey, not sure if this fits on this subreddit but it's somewhat related to android gaming.

I bought a Redmi Note 5 a few days ago, and things are going great. There's a little detail though, on some games, landscape mode displays a black rectangle where the on-screen navigation buttons should be.

Most games I've played don't have this issue and fill the screen correctly, but some don't and it's kinda bugging me.

The navbar buttons are correctly hidden when any landscape mode app launches, but some of them still display a black space in their place.

Anyone has any idea about this?

Cheers, and thank you in advance!

    Can someone recommend an MMO?

    Posted: 02 Aug 2018 01:06 PM PDT

I play Order & Chaos 2, but the devs seem to have given up on the game. So what is a popular MMO that is very active?

What's happened to Modern Combat 4?

    Posted: 02 Aug 2018 05:06 AM PDT

I've been learning claw for mobile shooters and need a good game to play offline to practice during downtime in my office as the data signal is weak there. I thought MC4 could be good, I wouldn't mind playing the story again, plus it got me nostalgic for the multiplayer game. I've searched for it on the play store, but nothing. Looks like gameloft haven't removed it. Has anyone still got MC4, and are there still servers for the multiplayer?

Geography Wars! - A "find the city" online multiplayer game

    Posted: 02 Aug 2018 11:23 AM PDT

    Hey r/AndroidGaming!

Development has started for a new online multiplayer game based on the old Xbox indie title called Geography Wars! The vision of the game is as follows:

    1. You are matched with another player of similar skill level.

    2. You are both given a city name and have to pin it's location on a world map.

    3. The actual city location is revealed along with the other player's pin.

    4. Whoever is closest to the city, in kilometers, wins the round. Best out of 3 rounds.

    5. You get experience points for wins and move up the rankings.

    6. You can puchase in-game boosters to help you win. Like TIMER ZAP (zap your opponent's timer down 10 seconds) or MAP FLIP (distort the map of your opponent making it harder to pin an accurate location)

We want feedback on ANYTHING. Is this a cool idea for a game? Would you play it? Which features do you hope it has? Any booster ideas that would be fun to use? etc.

Anyone interested can be apart of the entire design and development process by playing free BETA versions of the game, providing feedback and playing the changes. We want to make something that people actually like and want to play! If interested, send me a PM or make a comment below. Let's make a fun game together :)

What are some good VR games to play with a gamepad?

    Posted: 02 Aug 2018 05:09 AM PDT

Any F2P progression game that is relatively new and fun to play?

    Posted: 02 Aug 2018 12:38 PM PDT

I always like games that have a progression. I lean towards sport games (especially ones with an open market) and builders / RPG's. It's looking like Madden coming out August 15th might be a good fit but I'd love to find something sooner if possible.

I used to really enjoy Gems of War but within a few weeks I was in a top 10 guild based solely on the massive time I was putting in. I also felt very behind so I stopped playing, hence the emphasis on the relatively new element.
