How do I get weather to appear on S9 lockscreen?

    Posted: 02 Jul 2018 06:43 AM PDT

I just recently got an S9, and for the life of me I cannot figure out how to get the weather to appear on the lockscreen. There is no weather option under facewidgets on my phone, and while several articles I looked up mentioned being able to display weather on the lockscreen, none explained how to do so.

I may be missing something obvious, but I'd appreciate any help to fix this. I'm not crazy about having to unlock my phone whenever I want to check the weather.

Exynos 9810 Problems, Samsung Not Wanting To Make A Fix, And What Can We Do To Fight

    Posted: 02 Jul 2018 07:57 AM PDT

I'm bringing this here after seeing all the struggles everyone had with the battery.

Basically what everyone can do is message their local Samsung provider. I just sent e-mails to both CEO and Technical department.

Read here and here if you face the same issues as us:

    Remove Bloatware?

    Posted: 02 Jul 2018 02:38 AM PDT

I think I got as much as I could by going through the file program and app menu in settings on my Galaxy S7, but what would be the best way to just do a last check to remove preloaded programs that doesn't involve installing more or bricking my phone?

I just need my phone to send texts, call, view reddit, read wiki, listen to music in the car, and check my email since I don't play the mobile games or do social media. Getting it as close to that would be great.

Thinking about buying the S9 +.

    Posted: 02 Jul 2018 06:12 AM PDT

i Cant wait to switch back to Android. Looking at getting the S9+ but I'm not sure if this will be much of an upgrade coming from an iPhone 7 Plus? I've had Samsung phones before Note 4 being the last one. Or should I wait for the Note 9?

Short film shot entirely on an S9+

    Posted: 02 Jul 2018 06:06 AM PDT

I shot this short "Sense" entirely on a Galaxy S9+: https://www.rode.com/myrodereel/watch/entry/5022

It would be awesome if you took the time to vote for it too :)

Even though it was limiting working on a phone, the S9+ definitely has a great camera. I shot everything in 4k/60p, although it was annoying that there was no 24fps video option on these Samsung phones!

    (S8) Charging issues

    Posted: 02 Jul 2018 05:17 AM PDT

Having a problem with my Galaxy S8 at the minute, where it refuses to charge continuously - it will go through a constant pattern of connect, disconnect, connect, disconnect as it slowly charges. Sometimes it just won't charge at all.

This is with both Wired charging and Wireless charging which makes me think there is an issue with the battery. The phone has never been dropped, damaged, or been exposed to water, so it's unlikely to be something that I have done to the unit.

Does anyone have any experience with their phone doing this?

Should I buy the note 8 or s9 plus?

    Posted: 02 Jul 2018 01:52 AM PDT

I have the option to purchase one of these. Money is abit tight and I would be saving £100 getting the note 8 but I have heard that the note has issues regarding battery drainage and laggyness after the Oreo update. I want this phone I get not to last a good 3 years and still work well so which one should I get?

AT&T charges $914 for an S9 Plus, then gives you a discount of $180 and says that you can save up to $200...

S9+ camera needs more settings (Disccusion)

    Posted: 01 Jul 2018 07:28 PM PDT

I think the S9+ is severely lacking in settings on the camera. Does anyone else feel the same? Might be other new phones as well.

Help: Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 SM-T310 screen inexplicably separating from tablet

    Posted: 01 Jul 2018 11:10 PM PDT

I've had this for about 3 years and it is always kept in it's Moko case on my desk and used mostly for ebook reading. The other day I heard a little pop sound and I didn't know where it came from and then when I went to use my tablet I discovered that the screen is inexplicably separating from the tablet along the top edge. No one caused this to happen and it somehow just happened on it's own. I pressed the screen thinking it just somehow came loose and would reattach or snap back into place. It actually seemed as if it was held in place by adhesive like a sticker and when I pressed on the screen it went back into place. After a few moments, I heard that same little pop noise as the screen once again instantly separated from the tablet by itself, bowing out and leaving a 1/8 or so gap along the top edge. I tried to find out information about this on Google but couldn't find anything. Has anyone else had this happen with theirs? The tablet still functions but sometimes it will not play videos correctly and the picture breaks up. I'm unsure if this is related to the screen separating or not.

How do I turn off Auto reply?

    Posted: 01 Jul 2018 07:49 PM PDT

😂😂😂 My phone started auto-replying every text or call that comes in. Everyone that calls or texts me gets, 'Sorry, I can't talk right now. Call back later.' After moving furniture all day, I thought it was pretty funny. My girlfriend on the other hand was not amused. Anybody know how this got setup? I looked and didn't find anything. Thanks!

    P.S. I'm using Textra

    S8+ Bluetooth turning itself off

    Posted: 01 Jul 2018 06:22 PM PDT

In the last few weeks, I've noticed that my bluetooth will randomly turn itself off. It seems to happen at least once pretty much every single day and is increasing in frequency. From today, I'll start to actually note the date and time that I notice it is off.

At first I thought it was happening when I switch my wifi off as I do this fairly frequently because my home internet is awful, but it is also happening outside of that. Next I thought maybe it was happening when I plugged in the charger because I was listening to wireless headphones this morning when I plugged it in and then they lost connection, but I turned bluetooth back on with the phone, reconnected and 10 seconds later it turned itself off again.

Mostly I notice it is off because I glance at my S3 watch and see it is disconnected, so I pull my phone out and sure enough - bluetooth is off.

I've done some searching and it seems that bluetooth on the S8 and S8+ has been pretty problematic the whole way through, but I didn't come across a big spike of people having this exact problem only very recently.

I've always had issues with range, but nothing else. This is very new for me.

Any ideas on what is causing it or how it can be fixed?

If I clear the cache and data for bluetooh, do I need to re-pair everything? Do I lose anything else besides the paired devices? What if I clear the partition?

    S9+ shitty signal

    Posted: 01 Jul 2018 11:14 AM PDT

Since I've owned this phone I've never gotten above 2 bars, sits at 1 most of the time. Unless I'm on wifi it takes 10 seconds to load a internet page or any app related to internet.

I'm getting really sick of this and Samsung hasn't addressed it at all. What the fuck samsung.

    Can't find every app

    Posted: 01 Jul 2018 01:20 PM PDT

I just got a new S9+, after using an older Samsung not-so-smart phone and a tablet. It's great except that I cannot find the WhatsApp app on the Home screen or among the apps (by sliding up). It's also missing from the Home Screen settings; I went there to see if it had gotten Hidden by mistake. The only way to see it is to Share something from another app, or if someone sends mew a new message. Help!
