New Android GPS Speedometer - No intrusive ads, distracting pop-ups, or premium features to pay for! Posted: 03 Jul 2018 07:44 AM PDT Hey guys! I'm an app developer and I just released a GPS Speedometer app for Android. The app is very small (< 1 MB), and ONLY requires the "access location" permission. It has NO intrusive ads, NO distracting pop-ups, and NO "premium" features that cost money. Here it is if you would like to check it out: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.akware.speedometer :) ***Please let me know if you have any feedback or find any issues!*** [link] [comments] |
What is the best non-gaming app for entertainment? Posted: 03 Jul 2018 03:41 AM PDT I am not looking for the usual suspects aka Facebook, youtube, twitter, tinder, reddit, instagram, snapchat etc. I am looking for any entertaining apps that are not obvious answers. For example I recently discovered whisper and meetup apps. [link] [comments] |
Are there any good encrypted Journal apps? Posted: 03 Jul 2018 01:04 AM PDT I'm looking for a journaling app with end-to-end encryption. So far the only one I found is day one, and I'm not entirely certain that the Android version supports end-to-end encryption. I'm surprised I haven't found more on this, there are a lot of journaling apps, but very few that say anything about encryption. [link] [comments] |
Need help for Capstone Project Ideas Posted: 03 Jul 2018 06:47 AM PDT Hi! I am a Senior IT student in College and we have a Thesis / Capstone project to achieve before we graduate. We have to make an application (mobile app or can be hardware) that doesn't exist yet and is helping for the society. We are struggling to make an idea to propose. We have ideas, but it's too common (like traffic, garbage, order system, etc) and already exists. I need your help guys to propose an idea. Do you have ideas? Do you have problems or dilemma you wish to have an app to solve the problem? It can be any category as long as it can help the society to solve the problem. Your answers and ideas are much appreciated. Thank you! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 03 Jul 2018 06:19 AM PDT I bought the license key for Link2SD Plus, but it won't activate. If I try to open it, it just shows "Please wait..." indefinitely. Is there any way to fix this? [link] [comments] |
Wanted: nested task list with alarms Posted: 03 Jul 2018 07:58 AM PDT Asking for help from the Reddit hivemind. I've been installing and removing dozens of alarm and reminder apps from Google Play store trying to find the Cinderella app for me. I need nested tasks under sub headings, with individual alarms for each task as they come up, and not some bullshit little puff of air notification single pip then off, I need it to almost blow my leg off with extended vibrating so I don't miss the alert. Reddit gold for best answer. [link] [comments] |
Looking for an app that can send the same notification endlessly Posted: 03 Jul 2018 10:24 AM PDT I'm a huge procrastinator in need of an app that will send me notifications constantly (like every 5 minutes) to remind me to get stuff done. [link] [comments] |
Looking for best apps that replace system apps from Samsung (S7) Posted: 03 Jul 2018 02:45 AM PDT Hi guys, I am currently in the hype of completely customizing my S7 (Oreo)... I already installed Nova Launcher Prime and replaced system apps like Texting (Textra), Clock (Alarmy) or Calendar (Google Calendar). However, I am curious if there are far better apps for other system apps, such as the camera or the phone dialer? I really hate the phone dialer from Samsung. Why doesnt Google have a better dialer or camera app yet? Thanks in advance for any suggestions! [link] [comments] |
Looking for a timer/stopwatch app that makes noises at set intervals Posted: 03 Jul 2018 11:24 AM PDT Heya, While working out, I also do exercises that are about time. Like hanging from a bar or holding a weight for X time. I want to accurately count how long I've been doing the exercise without having to look at my phone. I find that to be distracting and also kind of impractical. I now start some built-in 'rest timer' on the app I use to track progress (Jefit), quickly put my phone in my pocket and then rush to start the exercise so I kind of know how long I've been on it, granted that I complete the full time. If I fail to hang for the full duration of the timer, I have to guess how long I did manage to hang from the bar. I've tried some apps that count out loud but it feels like they don't accurately measure time. The voice reads the second out loud and then there's an interval. So from second 25 to 26 it takes a lot longer than from 1 to 2. What I would like is an app that counts up or down but makes a sound (beep?) every now and then. It can be a short beep every second and then a longer beep every fifth or tenth or so. Just something I can use as a tool to more accurately measure the time I've been on the exercise. It would be great if you guys know an app that can do that. Thanks in advance :) [link] [comments] |

looking for a xiaomi / apple style launcher Posted: 03 Jul 2018 07:20 AM PDT Hi, I'm looking for an apple or xiaomi launcher, with no application box. I am currently using the xiaomi launcher because it integrates very well into the system and is very fluid, but I miss some customization options and gestures. That's why I wanted something like nova or action launcher, but without an app box and that has good performance with some kind of gesture... If anyone knows any of them, I'd appreciate it. Android Messages "Messages Isn't Responding" or "Not Sent. Tap To Try Again" Too Often. Posted: 03 Jul 2018 10:22 AM PDT I have a Motorola G4 Plus that has Android 7.0 on it. I did a system update some time ago and ever since then Android Messages has been a problem. I'll get the "Messages isn't responding" notification almost each time I send a message or "Not sent. Tap to try again." I've cleared the cache, I've restarted, I've checked for updates, I've checked the carrier and nothing. The only thing I haven't done is uninstall and reinstall the app. Has anyone else had this problem? I tried searching online but didn't find a solid solution. Thanks. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 03 Jul 2018 09:33 AM PDT In my subscriptions on the Play Store, it says that my subscription to Elevate will cancel in 2019, but wants to charge me $45 more to continue using it, even though it already did AFTER I CANCELLED. What do? [link] [comments] |
Photo apps that let you select part of the picture, like MS Paint Posted: 03 Jul 2018 09:11 AM PDT This seems like such a basic feature that I've come to the conclusion that I'm just stupid. Now I'm not so sure. In Paint, I can select part of the picture and then cut it, copy it, or drag it to a different part of the picture, leaving a blank space filled with whatever the transparent color is in its place. Can any Android app do this? [link] [comments] |

[Question]MultiSync for Cloud and iCloud Reminders? Posted: 03 Jul 2018 09:05 AM PDT Anyone using this - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=at.bitfire.cloudsync? I am trying to find a decent alternative to iCloud (IOS) reminders as I look to transition over to Android. So far Outlook Tasks & Google Tasks are both lacking. Outlook Tasks mixes up due date/times & reminder date/times, effectively making it impossible to have them both the same. Google Tasks only allows selection of a due date, but not a specific time. Until they change one of these, I think I am going to stay with iCloud reminders, especially as I work from a Mac and will be keeping my iPad for a while longer. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 03 Jul 2018 12:47 AM PDT I have literally flashed every rom there is, and did a factory reset MULTIPLE times and Titanium Backup still says it's checking its license and it's just stuck on that screen. When I uninstall my pro license however then everything seems to work fine... I've seen in the ratings of the pro license and TB that others are experiencing the same issue as well...I've got a Xiaomi Mi 6 running Lineage OS 15.1 if that matters? EDIT: I fixed it! https://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/8vkdbt/latest_play_store_update_breaks_license/e1pgi8z [link] [comments] |
Norton app lock glitching too much. What are some other free alternatives? Posted: 02 Jul 2018 05:37 PM PDT It is laggy, sometimes asks locks for apps which I haven't enabled for etc and I just don't like it overall. What are the alternatives!? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 02 Jul 2018 08:05 PM PDT My carrier provides me with 5 hours of unlimited data per month but neither my phone (G5) or Onavo provide an ability to pause the data counter so as to not falsely count my free hours of data. If I found an app that I could pause the counting on it would be very helpful. [link] [comments] |
