    My sound suddenly stopped working. I have a Sound Blaster Z sound card, and it shows up in the Device Manager, but not in Playback devices. Yes, I checked the Show Disabled Devices and Show Disconnected Devices.

    List of things I've tried:

    *Updating the drivers.

    *Uninstalling the device and restarting.

    *Disabling on-board audio.

    *Running svscan (I think that's what it's called, I don't remember exactly)

    *Restarting in Services, making sure everything is set to automatic.

    *System Restore (it didn't work and gave an error, I'll type the error out at the bottom)

    *Moving the sound card to another PCIe slot

    *Taking out the sound card altogether and trying to use the on-board audio instead (still no sound, so not sound card's fault I don't think)

    *Running an HDMI cord to my TV, which always has resulted in sound coming from the TV but doesn't anymore.

    *I don't know if it was caused by a Windows update, but when I go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features > Installed Updates, the last update it shows was 21 days ago, and my sound worked fine yesterday. So I don't think it was caused by a Windows update, but I have no freaking clue.

    I know there's other things I've tried but I am so tired and I can't remember them all.

    Would doing "Reset this PC" fix it? Or should I do the Advanced startup? Or do a clean installation of Windows 10? (I don't know how to do any of those.)

    I have no idea what to do and am having a breakdown. I really need my computer and don't have the money to get a new one or get this one fixed. I've been working on this for the past 20 hours to no avail. I've tried every single thing I could find on Google as well as messaged some computer friends about it.

    AMD FX-6350 processor

    Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 motherboard

    16 GB RAM (G.Skill Trident X DDR3 1600)

    Crucial MX100 256 GB SSD

    Western Digital Caviar Blue 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM internal hard drive

    EVGA GeForce GTX 960 4 GB SuperSC ACX 2.0+ graphics card

    Sound Blaster Z sound card

    Windows 10 Home 64 bit, Version 1709, OS Build 16299.431

    Charging light keeps blinking

    I have an Inspiron 15 5000 series laptop, it was low on battery so i went to charge it but the orange charging light started blinking i thought the problem would go away overnight but it hasn't, it's currently at 7% it won't go down or up, i tried troubleshooting but it says there's nothing wrong. If i try to take the charger out my laptop immediately dies it will only turn on when the charger is connected. Please help, thanks

    Friend was cleaning his computer and afterwards was not displaying to motherboard. I noticed this near the pcie slot. Could this be the cause?
