Been a while since I rooted, any suggestions? Posted: 02 May 2018 02:29 AM PDT Hello everyone. It has been over 3 years since I last used a rooted phone. I'm thinking about rooting my device later today. Which apps do you recommend? Is xposed still the way to go? [link] [comments] |
[DEV] I'm giving away 500 promo codes for my new app (audiobook player) Posted: 02 May 2018 07:14 AM PDT Hi guys! I recently developed this app called Booktime and now I would like to give you some promo codes for free. In short, Booktime is an app that will allow you to listen to your audiobooks in a nice and convenient way. Among other things, these are the main features: — Adjustable playback speed — Bookmarks — Sleep timer — Shows progress of all your books — Highlights the last book you listened to — Equalizer The app supports the most popular file formats: mp3, m4b, m4a, etc. Asks for very few permissions. And of course, there are no ads. Link to the app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.audiobook.player If you want a promocode, DM me and I will send you one. Also, I would be happy to listen to your feedback. Thank you for your time! HOW TO USE YOUR PROMO CODE:
UPDATE: Guys, this is not an alternative to Audible. It's just a player (without a selection of books to choose from). Sorry that I didn't clarify that at the beginning. UPDATE 2: There are about 400 codes left. I'm gonna leave you guys now, but will get back first thing in the morning (Moscow time). [link] [comments] |

Posted: 02 May 2018 05:34 AM PDT Hi everyone, I am looking for an app that notifies me everytime an artist releases a new song/album. If not, at least something that sends me an email. Thanks. [link] [comments] |
Is there any way to batch install apps Posted: 02 May 2018 09:43 AM PDT I don't like to keep apps which I don't use but I might need multiple apps for say, traveling. Is there a way to batch install apps in a particular folder or from the play store with or without using the computer? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 02 May 2018 09:14 AM PDT Being a part of local wine tasting group I decided to support all wine lovers with a small app related to various wine aromas. You can try it on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.odstrcilsw.android.winearomahelper.winearomahelper Your feedback is appreciated. [link] [comments] |
Synchronized stopwatches across devices Posted: 01 May 2018 08:49 PM PDT Hi, I'm searching for an app that has synchronized stopwatches between 2 devices. Purpose is a race from point A to point B where the stopwatch is started and stopped by officials holding their device. Device at point A starts, device at point B stops it and official at point A can write down the time. Does such an app exist? Thanks! [link] [comments] |

Posted: 02 May 2018 08:14 AM PDT Are there any alternatives to Glextor that allows for automatic folders on home screen? Glextor has been acting up. [link] [comments] |
Signing in to Messenger lite without a Facebook account? Posted: 02 May 2018 11:23 AM PDT I recently deleted my Facebook account but I want to create one of those Messenger accounts that are linked to your phone number rather than a Facebook account to keep in touch with friends. On the regular Messenger app I was able to do this, but I can't login to such an account on Messenger lite as a password is required. I've had bad experiences with Messenger in the past (battery, randomly uploading 500 Mb of unknown data in the background...) so I refuse to use it now. Messenger lite has been much more suited to me. Is this feature simply not supported on Messenger lite or is there a workaround? I'm all ears. [link] [comments] |
sd maid doesn't clean my cache (android n 7.1) Posted: 02 May 2018 03:33 AM PDT is this normal? I read somewhere that we have to manually clean cache from system settings since android 6.0 or 7, so no more automatic cache cleaning? [link] [comments] |
App to monitor my sleep movements with video. Posted: 02 May 2018 10:49 AM PDT A security camera app that can monitor motion and save locally would work well I suppose. [link] [comments] |
Which app you wish more people spent more time on? Posted: 02 May 2018 08:47 AM PDT I find Ankidroid to be very useful and wish more people would use it to memorize anything. [link] [comments] |
ADVICE ON SELLING MY ANDROID GAME Posted: 02 May 2018 08:19 AM PDT I have made a decent Android game and plan to sell it on sites like sellmyapp.com or something like that. Are such sites even relevant today and do people even buy such games? I will sell my app for a very realistic price of $200. How possible is it to sell the game easily? [link] [comments] |
Android keyboard that lets you reposition the full stop period. Posted: 02 May 2018 07:59 AM PDT For the last few years, I've been bouncing back and forth between SwiftKey and Gboard, but as phone screens have been getting larger and larger, I've begun to encounter a rather annoying issue. The issue is that I always hit the dang period key when I try to go for the spacebar. I don't have particularly long thumbs, and so most sentences kind of look like "Hello. My. Name. Is. Max. And. I. Really. Like. Full. Stops." I spend more time correcting my texts and messages than I actually do writing them. Is there a keyboard app out there that allows me to reposition the period, or remove it entirely? I feel like a double tap of the spacebar should be all that is needed to get a full stop. Some help in choosing a grocery shopping list app? Posted: 02 May 2018 03:45 AM PDT So I'm currently torn between Our Groceries and Out of Milk. Both are popular, have high ratings, and recommend in reviews. However, I want some personal opinions or experience from other people. Syncing isn't an issue for me, since I'm mostly shopping for myself. These are the features I'm looking for.
Advice? Thanks for your time! [link] [comments] |
nova launcher don't delete my icons for not installed apps - is it possible? Posted: 02 May 2018 03:34 AM PDT is there a setting in nova launcher so that it won't delete my icons for not installed apps (e.g. after a restore from a backup)? [link] [comments] |
Lock screen pop ups not working Posted: 02 May 2018 07:19 AM PDT I've got a galaxy s8+ (oreo) that's about a week old. At first, I got the popup banner notifications with the screen locked for some apps (like textra) but not all, despite me setting them to display on locked screen. After a few days, nearly all apps have stopped displaying banner notifications on the locked screen. I've made sure that each app I want notifications for has battery management shut off and notifications are enabled with urgent priority. I do get the audio alert with vibration and the LED indicators but I do not get any banner notifications when my screen is locked for any app. What have I done? Why is this happening and how can I fix it? [link] [comments] |
[DEV] Tornado Music Player - A fun music player with personality Posted: 01 May 2018 01:01 PM PDT Tornado Music Player is the first app I have ever made. It's totally free and I'm sort of here to get feedback and to see what the community of Android thinks about my approach to a music player. When I started working on this I had no idea how hard making a music player would be and I quickly found out that a music player is a major undertaking! Anyways, we fast forward to about a year and half and I've finally reached a point that I think Tornado Music Player is done enough to gauge whether or not it's something I should continue working on. I'd love to see what people in general think about Tornado Music Player. It started out as a passion and evolved into something I now cherish and consider my greatest accomplishment. During my time working on the app I found it hard to get help but a fellow redditor/android dev u/enum5345 helped me work out some kinks that really pushed Tornado Music Player's efficiency into something usable as a daily driver. Of course, the very much loved Shuttle Music Player and it's developer: Tim Malseed, provided priceless help due to it being open source. In fact, Shuttle Music Player was the main inspiration for the creation of Tornado Music Player. The app focuses heavily on Material Design and revolves around SoundSpout (the main character of the app) giving the app it's unique personality. I will write a summary of features below. One of the biggest things that makes Tornado Music Player unique is the playlist creation design which allows you to modify lists by simply touching a song. It's easy to modify and create multiple playlists at the same time! My main concern I suppose is if my app is has enough potential that user's in the community would consider downloading and using. There are some amazing talent in the app development world and most music players on the Play Store are absolutely amazing. I believe Tornado Music Player provides a little something different enough that would encourage and have people consider downloading, but that is something I am trying to figure out thus why I'm reaching out to the r/Android community. Features available: - Import m3u playlists. - Export playlists to m3u. - 3 Unique themes: Ocean Marina, Paradise Nightfall, and Aqua Army (theme ideas are more than welcome) - Unique playlist creation design. - Intuitive UI - SoundSpout himself Features to come: - Rename playlists - Homescreen widgets. - Tag editing - More Themes (again ideas are more then welcome!) Here is the link to app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=thenotoriousrog.tornadoplayer If the link fails you can also search for Tornado Music Player I welcome any and all feedback! An app that chooses a holiday for you based on your budget Posted: 01 May 2018 01:27 PM PDT So I recently saw a YouTuber (Zerkaa) make I video where he used an app called "Lucky Trip" where you basically put in your budget and it finds the perfect holiday for you. However it's not available on android yet so looking for something similar [link] [comments] |
Posted: 02 May 2018 02:09 AM PDT Currently using Shuttle and I love it. The only thing lacking is the option to change Album art and the lyrics pop out blocking the playback buttons. I've tried Musicolet, Pulsar, Next. Edit: option to search and lyrics would be great too. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 May 2018 04:20 PM PDT Trying to find an app that makes it quick and easy to draw on screenshots photos, just like circling things, mostly. [link] [comments] |
Inbox draining loads of battery Posted: 01 May 2018 08:05 PM PDT Inbox seems to be holding a wakelock keeping the device awake, and burning through battery quite quickly. As seen in the screenshots (first comment), Inbox is holding the com.android.providers.downloads wakelock, which is confirmed by the stock battery stats app. The device also becomes quite warm, especially while in use. This only started occurring after the recent update from the play store yesterday. I am using a 2016 pixel xl, with the Android 8.1 April security patch, with inbox version 1.71.194431478.release. Troubleshooting steps so far including disabling the download manager, and clearing both apps' data, rebooting the device, etc. The issue continues to persist. Anyone else have this issue? Or a solution? What happens if I leave the download manager disabled long term? [link] [comments] |
