I created a mod to convert Chinese Xiaomi Routers (Developer firmware) to English. Posted: 28 Apr 2018 06:38 AM PDT I'm working on a mod that converts the Mainland China versions of the Xiaomi Routers to English, even when they don't have a firmware that has English out the box. Right now the R3P is supported, i'm working on R3G support now. https://github.com/ChocolateMilkGod/MiWifi-Language-Mod/ Update: R3G is now supported, and fixed issues where bind points wernt always made. Do I need a phone number to unlock the bootloader of a Xiaomi phone? Posted: 28 Apr 2018 07:43 PM PDT It seems they send you the code through SMS, if I have no phone number is it impossible to unlock the bootloader/ are there any workarounds? [link] [comments]

Redmi 5+ fingerprint unlock delay Posted: 28 Apr 2018 07:53 PM PDT I got my phone this Monday and the fingerprint unlock was instant. Then after a couple of days of usage a ~.5 second delay appeared out of nowhere. I am using the custom ROM MiUi 9.5.4.0 Global. The delay is there only after I don't use my phone for a while. I could not find anything online regarding this. [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Apr 2018 03:34 PM PDT I was considering the One plus 5t/6 when I stumbled upon the Xiaomi's. The price is lower and the specs are not much lower. I think I'd like to purchase either the note 5 or a2/6x, yet the accessibility seems to be a problem. Is this a decent price/quality phone choice and does anyone have an idea on how to get my hand on one of these in Europe? [link] [comments]
Will there ever be a perfect phone? Posted: 28 Apr 2018 08:20 AM PDT I have a Redmi Note 4 and I wanted to purchase the Mi Mix2S but realised its battery is smaller and doesn't have 3.5mm jack. I use earphones for sleeping and BT don't work, though mine last more than 15 hours, they are huge. An adapter doesn't do the job either as I need the phone to get charged when I sleep. On the other hand, Redmi Notes don't have AptX (I have Sennheiser Momentum 2), don't have NFC but the battery is great and also support microSD Will there ever exist a flagship MIUI phone with big battery and 3.5mm? If not, I would still stay in the Redmi Note. [link] [comments]
Can't place an order on Aliexpress Posted: 28 Apr 2018 05:58 PM PDT https://i.imgur.com/eOWofcN.png Any idea what could be the problem? Tried both of my cards and the same thing keeps popping up. Never ever had a problem with this before. I ordered stuff from there a few months ago with the same card as well [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Apr 2018 05:36 PM PDT Hey there, this issue has been constantly troubling me from the day I started using a xiaomi phone. Its about the sound volume variation. Is there any way to set my ringtone's loudness apart from my notification's? Its just that I need a loud ringtone(especially in noisy places) but don't need a high notification volume. As when I set my ringtone's volumn to high or max, my notification will also follow that volumn. So I end up getting very loud notification "pings" that makes it awkward when I'm in class. All I'm saying is, is there something I missed.. Or is there an app or something I need to download in order to resolve this? [link] [comments]
Why does all advertisement images have phone time set to 8:16? Posted: 28 Apr 2018 10:58 AM PDT Apple has been using 9:41 in their advertisement images and they have announced why, but has Xiaomi announced their reason for this? Just pure curiosity. [link] [comments]
Returning to MIUI from Lineage Posted: 28 Apr 2018 12:55 PM PDT Hi all, I'm having some trouble flashing MIUI to my Redmi Note 4. I currently run Lineage but want to go back and give MIUI 9 another go. In order to do this I downloaded the ROM, copied it to external storage, booted into TWRP and attempted to format the phone from there so that I could then flash the ROM. TWRP couldn't seem to format the phone, it said it was unable to mount storage. Is there anything I can do to solve this? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Amazfit Stratos 2 vs Fitbit Versa Posted: 28 Apr 2018 03:54 PM PDT I want to get a smartwatch/fitness tracker and i found about these 2 devices, both look really great, the Stratos looks really great as an everyday watch with fitness capabilities and the versa looks like extremely good fitness tracker not such great looks for the everyday. Also i have i would like to use the watch under bandages during boxing, only heavy bag hitting no sparring , but i dont know if the devices can handle the vibrations. Does anyone have experience with both devices or opinions based on the reviews? Thanks! [link] [comments]

Just received my Xiaomi Mi Vacuum robot, cannot connect to app Posted: 28 Apr 2018 08:52 AM PDT I just got the vacuum. Once I log in and I tap "add new device" it shows me a list of devices, I tap on the vacuum (even tho it shows 2nd gen and I have 1st), then it asks me to enter my wi fi password. After I do that it tells me to connect it to the robovacuum wifi in the settings of my phone and go back to the app. I do it but nothing else happen. The wifi light is bliking. I already tried to reset it. What am I supposed to do? [link] [comments]
Can’t add Yeelight Ceiling to my Devices!? Posted: 28 Apr 2018 02:43 PM PDT Hello, I just received today my new Yeelight Ceiling. I installed it, it lights up, remote is working. I installed the „Yeelight" app for iPhone, create an Account and tried to add the lamp to my account. I switched on my lamp, selected my WiFi, entered my WiFi Code, it startet to connect and breaks up by around 15%. But it didn't show up in my devices. I tried again. Then I reseted the lamp, and tried again. Same, 15% and off... My router shows the lamp in the list, and it seems to have an connection to the internet, but I don't see the lamp in the Yeelight app. What did i wrong? Did I miss something? Is it because I have an IPv6 connection? I tried it with my mobile hotspot and an other iPhone with an other account... I don't see the problem, any ideas please? I am from Germany btw.
