    Xiaomi I believe that people want a new BIOS update for our Mi Notebook Pros that includes the following: - new fan curve (the one that doesn't let the fan turn on when just using chrome or under 50 degrees Celsius) - Unlocked voltages to undervolt our systems - One with the SSD fix using 4X speeds

    Please release a new update for the BIOS that has all these features fixed

    Why are Mi A1 updates so slow?

    I don't understand why it is happening. It looks like every other company has updated its phones to April Security Update but not Xiaomi (8.1 OMG). When I bought this phone I thought it would be getting updates fast because it's Android One... because it's Vanilla Android... but now I know I was wrong. I just want to know why? I'm losing trust to this company.

    Hi I got a new Redmi Note 5. Chinese version, and I'm in China, still locked and I don't want to unlock it for now, I need it to be stable.

    I tried installing the play store and play services, but I get an error. The Aptoide store works but it's not that good imho, I still can't install apps that depend on Google or restore my whatsapp backup from gdrive. Any ideas on how to solve this? I can't seem to find a global rom, the phone only has chinese/indian official roms right?

    Hi, when the rumours started for the RN5 Pro (now RN5) it was told to be from 175usd to 225usd and now I am seeing prices of 249usd to 355usd and the dates haven't even been told yet (as far as I know at least).

    Anyone knows when the pre-sale will end and the device gets launched everywhere? I am kinda tired of waiting and maybe I end up going with Mi A1 cause of the time.

    On the other hand, which site (and sites's stores) do you recommend? (link please).

    HK goldway Vs gearbeast

    Going to pre order a redmi note 5 however I cant decide between HK gold way and gear beast. Gold-way is slightly more expensive however they have guaranteed tax free shipping. Gearbeast works out cheaper however apparently you have to pay customs duty on some shipping methods. I want to import one to the UK

    Battery issue with Mi Notebook Pro - Laptop Not Turning On Despite Battery Being Charged

    Hi guys, I purchased the Xiaomi Mi notebook Pro laptop 15.6 inch i7-8550U 16GB DDR4 256GB SSD Windows10 MX150 roughly a month ago, every now and then when i turn the laptop off or put it to sleep and turn it back on the LED on the side will flash indicating the battery is flat (despite having close to full charge).

    After plugging in the charger and turning the laptop on (only way to turn it on) the battery percentage will say "0%, not charging" or something like "99% charging", has anyone else had this issue?

    Being in the middle of my uni semester this is pretty frustrating and the retailer offered to do an exchange if I send it back and they test it and agree that it is faulty, although I'm worried they'll test it and it will work fine because this problem only happens every now and then.

    I'm tempted to take the battery out and put it back in to see if that will be a solution although I don't want to void any warranty considering the age of the laptop.

    Otherwise an amazing laptop and hoping someone can give some advice/had a similar issue and can help. Thanks!

    Questions regarding Windows on Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro

    I've got a Mi Notebook Pro coming in soon and got a couple of questions.

    1. Usually I completely wipe the storage and do a clean install of Windows. If I just install English Windows with the Media Creation Tool will I be able to revert back to factory settings, e.g. the Chinese version and all my files and settings removed? I'm asking this since in case I would need to return the machine due to a defect or something else it would be best to restore it to how it came. Or do I need to create some sort of recovery USB first for the Chinese version right after I unbox it?

    2. Is there anything in particular that I would need to check to make sure the laptop is working properly? I'm looking at checking the WiFi, Bluetooth, speakers, USB-ports + headphone jack + SD card reader, screen (discoloration, heavy light bleed, dead pixels, hinges), keyboard, trackpad + fingerprint scanner, fan noise/rattling, temperature, coil whine and battery health.

    I'd rather test everything as thoroughly as possible to make sure it's working properly cause who knows how the warranty is going to be after my return period ends.

    How do you like it so far ? Im planning to buy it but I care about software experience. What I mean does it lag in daily tasks like using social media,watching videos etc. And how responsive is it overall when switching apps. I hate UI lag. Would this phone be good enough for me?
