My Samsung Level Active randomly stopped working, and would not show the charging light even with Samsung chargers, and would not turn on. Is there a fix for this?

How long will the S9+ be reliable?

    Posted: 15 Apr 2018 08:19 AM PDT

I know the phone just came out and I'm switching from an iPhone 6s but I need to know approximately how long Samsung will update the phone. 1 of the reasons I like apple is because they update and support old phones for a pretty long time (my mother's iPhone 5 is chugging along with iOS 10). As a heads up, I will need to keep this phone 2-3 years before I upgrade. Please let me know and have a nice day

How do disable images/videos from automatically downloading in WhatsApp

    Posted: 15 Apr 2018 07:52 AM PDT

First off I'm new to Android and have only had my Samsung Galaxy S9+ for over a week. I am really happy about making the move from iOS but have this pet peeve that I can't seem to figure out in WhatsApp.

How to I stop images from automatically being saved to my gallery? The only setting I've found is in the data & storage section but that just stops the files from automatically appearing right then and there in the chat. If I click download to see them they appear and auto save. What's even more frustrating is when I go into my gallery to delete the new images I don't want that also deletes them from my chats and I can't revisit them. Please help.

Nearly full 4g bars but "no service" Note 5

    Posted: 15 Apr 2018 04:04 AM PDT

https://imgur.com/WObNQbF < pic for reference. I recently saved up enough to upgrade from my old phone, the note 4, when I got my note 5 I was happy only to find out I needed a nanosim instead of a micro Sim, so I went over to the att store and asked for a new Sim, despite me asking for a new one they "cut down" my old one. In places my old phone had no problems having 4g this new one constantly says "no service" even tho I have nearly full bars. When it's like this I can receive pictures and messages but I they just seem to take ages to send. Is there any kind of fix? Kinda ruining this phone since it's only reliable when connected to WiFi. Thanks for any answers in advance. Edit: this is kind of important since they cut down my Sim I can't use my note 4 right now to return the note 5 for a different one and I NEED to have a reliable phone for work...

    Neon flip cover issue

    Posted: 15 Apr 2018 03:54 AM PDT

My father got a Galaxy A3 with a neon flip cover case and upon booting it it worked fine: screen turned off and on when opening/closing the case and the edge illuminated when he got a notification. But after updating to Android 7.0, it stopped. Now none of the above listen options work, the screen only turns off with the button or by timeout, and there is no illumination when receiving a notification. I tried finding some settings for this, but couldn't. Help appreciated, thanks.

    S9+ Spigen Tough armor?

    Posted: 14 Apr 2018 08:15 PM PDT

My s9+/screen protector/case will arrive Monday and I'm somewhat concerned because the lip is so small on the Spigen Tough Armor. Has anyone used this case with the infinity display? Good? Bad? Thanks in advance!

Also, this is my first Samsung since the Note 4. Coming from P2XL, so I'm familiar with Android, but not the Samsung add-ons. Any tips are appreciated.

CEC+ or something is messed up.

    Posted: 14 Apr 2018 03:52 PM PDT

Last year I purchased a Samsung UN65KU649DF 4K TV and a HW-K750 5.1 Samsung soundbar. I have the soundbar connected correctly through the HDMI ARC port. When we turn on the TV and select a source,) lets say the cable receiver which is connected HDMI to the input on the soundbar, the soundbar says "SMute" sometimes. Sometimes it doesn't but it changes to "TV speaker" audio instead of using the soundbar. In order to get it to use the soundbar we have to use the soundbar remote to change the source to any other source and then change back to HDMI and then sometimes it picks up the soundbar for audio. Sometimes it gives us picture and no audio at all. If it does that we have to again choose a different input using the soundbar remote, then go back to HDMI. Usually after a few attempts it links up and all is fine.

Until you change a source for video and/or turn the TV off. Then you have to begin the insane cycle again.....

Wtf Samsung? The TV is on the latest firmware available, I have no idea if there is a way to update the soundbar firmware, but this is crazy. My only other solution is to use the optical audio output from soundbar to TV and just leave the soundbar on "D. IN" but I need the HDMI input on the soundbar to have everything hooked up because the TV only came with three HDMI inputs.

Samsung Galaxy S9 hard resets and erases itself when new SIM card inserted?

    Posted: 14 Apr 2018 12:38 PM PDT

I got a new Samsung Galaxy S9 today. After transferring my data from my old phone to my new phone and getting the S9 mostly set up, I took the SIM card out of my old phone and put it in the S9.

A few seconds later, the phone displayed the message "Erasing". The phone then sat with the Samsung logo pulsing for a few minutes and then booted.

After booting, everything was indeed erased and I was presented with the setup screen that it showed the first time I powered it on a few hours ago.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm annoyed that I have to do the setup all over again. Fortunately, the transfer copied the data from my old phone and didn't delete it.

    Is the S9+ bug free?

    Posted: 14 Apr 2018 04:05 PM PDT

Awhile back I stopped buying the first or second production runs of new electronics since they'll have bugs or production things that need fixing.

How is the S9+? Is it pretty good?
