    Samsung trade in scam.

    so I sent my phone in for the trade in for my s7.

    I took pictures of my device before shipping to be safe.

    well came to find out, I believe samsung or who ever is collecting and inspecting devices is purposely damaging devices to force customers to pay for full price devices and then collect on the money for the device traded in.

    my pictures totally contradict what samsung sent me picture wise.

    i went ahead and sent the pictures to the BBB for investigation on this issue I'm having with samsung.

    Anyone had an issue like this before?

    What’s a dead giveaway for a fake S7?

    I'm about to buy a S7 and I want to know how I can tell if it's fake. I'm using eBay since it's as cheap as an S7 gets on there but eBay is known for scamming and I don't want to be a victim. If there is a way I can tell if it's fake before buying that would be great but I'm looking for one big giveaway for a fake phone. Thanks.

    Wireless charger with little/dim to no LED lighting recs?

    Hey, I've recently upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy s8, and was looking to get a wireless charger. However, I suffer with light sensitivity, and so almost always have minimum brightness on all my devices and a habit of covering up LEDs with electrical tape.

    It's hard to tell on the images I've been looking at, so does anyone have a recommendation for a wireless charger with dim or no LED lighting to it? Iirc, the official Samsung ones used to light up a dark room, is this still the case?

    What do you guys expect Samsung to make for the Galaxy S10?

    It is a very important milestone and they will probably make something special like Apple did with the iPhone X.

    I want to know what features do you guys expect/would like this phone to have.

    My personal wish list would include, but not be limited to:

    • 4K or 120hz display (or both, who knows)
    • In-display fingerprint sensor
    • No bottom chin/bezel with the screen curving on the bottom as it curves on the side
    • Headphone jack
    • Same design of the back camera (I saw some rumours that Samsung would change the camera layout to a corner based one, like every other smartphone)
    • No notch
    • Another shot at a 4000mAh battery or those graphene batteries they are working on (but I don't even know if they would be ready for mass production)
    • A bigger camera sensor (for comparison, the sensor on the S9+ main camera was 1/2.55" and the one on the main camera on the Huawei P20 Pro was 1.7")
    • Louder and better quality speakers

    If they did all of that it would honestly be the perfect phone.

    Autocorrecting everything to "I"

    Pretty straightforward like the title says. My Galaxy S9+ often autocorrects perfectly fine words with a capital "I" and then gives you an option to change it back my touching the new "I." Can anyone tell me why this is happening or how I can fix it?

    Gear IconX 2018 screeching during calls.

    I sure hope I'm posting in the correct place. I'll do my best to abide by the rules here.

    I recently bought two IconX earphones. One for my wife and one for myself. We've had them for no more than a week. They've been working fine until today. This morning they started making a loud screeching noise when I'm in a call. The screeching noise sounds exactly like the feedback noise you get when you place two phones next to each other and have one call the other.

    I've narrowed down the issue to be our IconX earphones... but only when we're on the phone with each other while wearing our earphones.

    If one of us is wearing the earphones and is on the phone with someone else who is not wearing IconX, there's no issue. The noise happens within a second or two after the call connects when we're on the phone with each other while we're both wearing our IconX (no matter how far apart we are).

    I haven't been able to try other IconX since we're the only ones that we know who have them.

    We're both using Galaxy S8's with mine being the Plus variant.

    Also, may be important to note that we both also have our Gear S3 watches connected at all times via bluetooth alongside our IconX.

    If anyone has any idea why this is happening or any trouble shooting processes, I'd be greatly appreciative.

    EDIT: I've already tried resetting the earphones via the little pin hole on each earphone.

    Should i take up this project again ?

    So, about a year ago by now. I started on a theme for the galaxy phones and tried to get accepted for the theme store, but never got accepted. So after like 12+ tries i gave up on this.
    I sooner found out about Icons for Nova and Substratum theming.
    And was thinking, would it even be worth it. I have all the project files on my cloud and many other project files. And then maybe try and get it out using Noca and Substratum.

    Trouble with a galaxy J3 2016 model turning on - how do I diagnose the fault? (help)

    So my neighbour's J3 has broken and to ship it off and get it fixed is more expensive than buying a new phone so he's given it to me to take a look it since im relatively tech savvy.

    My suspicion is that the battery is fried. It won't turn on when I plug it into the wall or my PC. I've unscrewed the back of it and put it together again, the headphone jack was loose so I clicked that back together. The port labelled R1 had a small thing in it rattling around and it came off. Its a very small square piece which I understand to be an antenna spot. Even so it should be able to turn on without getting signal.

    It won't turn on at all, not even the black screen of death.

    When i plugged it into my laptop it installed some drivers though. Does this mean anything? I can still access its folders and stuff.

    If the battery is dead will it not turn on when plugged into my computer or a wall socket?

    Can I use Smart view with mobile data on s9?

    So, I use the smart view feature all the time. On my note 5 I could easily mirror the screen and do whatever over mobile data. When I bring up the function on the s9 it automatically starts wifi and if I stop I lose the smart view connection. Any help?

    Samsung Music and FLAC

    So I just dumped 10gb of FLAC music files onto my Note 8 under the impression that the Samsung Music player would be able to play it.

    Sure enough if I navigate to the flac files using a file explorer i can play them using the Samsung Music app, but in the app itself it doesnt show up so that I cant create playlists and such which is a bit annoying.

    How can i make the app detect my music?

    EDIT: To add, it's on the internal storage. Not an SD card.

    EDIT2: I also forgot that turning it off and on again really helps with music discovery...... nothing to see here, move along.
