Posted: 24 Apr 2018 07:44 AM PDT Hey there! I wanted to share something I'm incredibly excited about. Some of you might remember a cute little open source messaging app called QKSMS - and you might also know that it hasn't been updated for almost two years now. That changes today! I just rolled out QKSMS 3.0 on Google Play. QKSMS is back under active development (it actually has been for the last 6 months or so - feel free to check out the source code on Github!) What's different? The app has been re-written from scratch. This means a few things:
Now, this is not to say that the app is anywhere near where I want it to be. This rewrite has almost exclusively focused on performance and usability. There is still a LOT I'm going to be working on. Here are just a few of the things I plan to spend time on over the next few months.
The update involves the removal of a lot of not-very-often-used settings in an effort to minimize clutter and offer a cleaner design, but this seems to be a very controversial change so far. I would love for you to try my app and to share some of your thoughts. Your feedback is incredibly important to me and will ultimately help me decide what direction I should be taking the app. As always, I'll be here all day to talk :) Cheers, Moez [link] [comments]

Posted: 24 Apr 2018 12:25 PM PDT As of now, the Chrome Home UI has been replaced by Chrome Duplex in version 66.0.3359.126 . You won't be able to find the flag to turn it on either. (I already miss the bottom address bar as it made the swipe gesture to switch between tabs much easier and convenient to use.) [link] [comments]
