Nokia 7 Plus from an iPhone users perspective (Nokia 7 Plus vs. iPhone 7 Plus) Posted: 17 Apr 2018 10:52 AM PDT I have now been playing with my new Nokia 7 Plus for 24 hours and I'm ready to share my initial impressions. Some background: I have had many Androids before for eg. Galaxy S6 and htc One M7 so I am not new to Android. In the summer of 2017 I switched to an iPhone 6s plus and later to an iPhone 7 plus. Battery: The battery life on the Nokia is freaking sick and I also missed having quick charging. 7 hours sot. Build: Build on the Nokia is what I would describe different. I don't think there is a phone out there with a similar design than this. Comparing to the iPhone both phones are about the same size but the Nokia fits a 6 inch screen which is awesome. Camera: I feel like the camera is pretty much an all around downgrade from the iPhone. It's not bad but it isn't really amazing either. Performance: It's pretty good. No hiccups or an problems in normal use but it was lagging a bit was when the phone was updating all the apps. What I miss from the iPhone: I miss the taptic engine a lot and I'm really dissapointed that no Android oems have one that comes close (lg v30 has a much better than the rest though). Believe it not: 3D touch, even though it seems like a gimmick it's very useful when writing on your phone: if you misspell a word you can force touch the keyboard and get precisly to the spot where you missspelled. I also miss the animations a bit: stuff feels more fluid on the iPhone but in contrast stuff feels faster on the Nokia. I also ofcourse miss the ip rating and stereo speakers. Edit: just did a side by side test of the speakers and the iPhone's are definitely better but not by a huge margin. The Nokia lacks bass as do most phone speakers but It's not the worst one I have tried. All in all the Nokia feels mostly like a downgrade but I wasn't expecting an upgrade either. I bought this because I want to support Nokia. [link] [comments] | ||
