    I'm trying to update my Mi A1 to Oreo and I don't get the update I'm still on 7.1.2 August.

    Now I enter this site https://www.mi.com/verify/#imei_en and check the imei of my phone And it's say

    "Millet 5x mobile 4G+ edition 4GB Memory Gold 64 Gb"

    Delivery address: China

    Do I have MI 5x on A1 Box? Because I have clean android on my phone.. And it's "Global version"

    [Question] About bootloader + custom recovery

    I searched but couldn't find what would happen if I locked my bootloader with a custom recovery, would I be in trouble?

    And if you guys could help, I have a custom ROM right now, if I install the default xiaomi recovery and lock it would be ok?

    Xiaomi Vacuum Mi App can't connect to wifi (iOS)

    I downloaded the mi app to set up the vacuum. i connect to the vacuum's wifi (roborock) as it tells me to, then get back into the mi app, but it doesn't do anything at that point. apps thinks i'm not connected to the vacuum's wifi? Please help

    Xiaomi Wifi 3g Padavan Custom Firmware

    After installing Padavan on my 3g i would like to optimize my wifi. I have 1 Gbit on cable to the wifi router and 100 Mbit provider internet. But my 2.4 Ghz Wifi is really slow. Any hints, how to configure it on the tab professiona of the padavan firmware ? Which option, i should enabled or disabled it ? Is there an optimized wifi configuration for 2.4/5 Ghz ?

    Error While Installing March Update

    Redmi 4 Update and Unlocked bootloader

    Hi,

    I have been updating a Redmi 4 from MIUI 8 to MIUI 9. The bootloader was locked.

    However, after the update, while the phone is booting I get a Unlocked signed, that I assume it means the bootloader has been unlocked. I didn't do it, so, the update must have done it.

    Is this a common issue, or a rare one? Any fix?

    Xiaomi in Germany

    So the mi mix 2s has be announced for China and they will start to sell it there soon. Since my 1+1 is pretty old now I want to get a mi mix 2s as soon as possible. However I can't figure out if the Version they will sell in China will work in Europe, especially Germany too or if I have to wait for a release of a global version.

    If Chinese version will work here I can just buy a MI mix 2s from gearbest and use it here, or am I getting something wrong?

    Already bought lots of stuff on banggood and gearbest but never something as expensive as a phone so it would be great if someone could tell me his experiences with taxes and German Zoll because I'm not sure if the PDM shipping will work with a phone.

    Few questions before modifying the system

    I own a redmi note 4 and I'm planning to unlock bootloader, install twrp and magisk, and I have a few questions before doing so.

    • Does unlocking bootloader factory reset my phone? I used to own a Moto G and with that phone unlocking bootloader your phone gets factory reseted.
    • Do I need a specific version of TWRP for mido? Or any version does ok. I ask this because with my Moto G you had to install a specific version of TWRP, otherwise your phone will get stuck in a bootloop.
    • Does anyone here have Magisk installed? Any problems or bugs?
    • And last, I've read that every single time you flash something on a Xiaomi you have to also flash a file called "lazy flasher" so your phone doesn't get screwed up. Is this true? Do I need to "lazy flash" every single time I flash something?
    • If I ever get another OTA MIUI update, how do I deal with this? I heard that with magisk you can update without loosing root.

    I'm using MIUI Global 9.5.4.0(NCFMIFA).

    I've had the Mi A1 for a few weeks now, it's a lovely phone. However, today I noticed a black spot on the camera.

    Upon further investigation, I reckon it's a speck of dust. It's quite noticeable on white backgrounds. I tried tapping the phone/blowing on it to try to remove it, but it doesn't want to budge.

    Will I be able to get it fixed at a phone repair shop? I'm based in Ireland.

    Hissing gone on Mi A1?

    Hi. I am on March patch on the Mi A1. Since updating, I can't hear the infamous hiss during songs. I could hear it clearly before during calm songs. Can anyone confirm this, or am I going deaf?

    Strange bugs after recent MIUI 9.5 update on Mi Mix 2: missing icons, disappearing URL bar in the browser

    Hi, I recently got the update on my Mi Mix 2. The version now is MIUI Global 9.5 Stable 9.5.4.0 (ODEMIFA). I'm very happy with it (the gestures are awesome), but there are some annoying bugs.

    First, the URL bar in the web browser disappears when I tap on it to enter an address. I can still type an address and go there, but I can't see what I'm typing. Here's a screenshot. The URL bar is supposed to be right above the keyboard. When I rotate my phone, the address bar appears when it switches to landscape, then disappears again when I rotate back to portrait orientation.

    Another bug is that the Clock, Calendar and Weather icons seem to be missing when using the default theme. Here and here you can see what it looks like.

    These problems persist even after a factory reset. Does anyone else have them too? Is it possible to fix them?

    Price Xiaomi Air 13.3 (2017/2018)

    Currently waiting to buy one of these two for University. I'm from Germany so i don't have that many options where to buy it from, checking Geekbuying and Geekbest every Day. Currently 2017 is around 700€, 2018 around 850€, what is a good price to buy it, any chance they getting lower in the next 2 months?

    New Mi Notebook Air?

    Hello,

    I have seen the new model of the Mi Notebook Air 13 reviewed by techtabletstv on Youtube a while ago, but I can only find it on Geekbuying. Been thinking about getting a Xiaomi laptop but want to wait for the new model. The notebook pro is widely available as are the older airs and they are usually reasonably priced. Is it worth waiting for the new 13.3 or should I go for the Pro or one of the older models.

    Is there a way I can control when my screen brightness goes to half brightness automatically?

    I read a lot on my phone and since I have dyslexia I read slow. I have my screen time out at 2 minutes but many times the screen goes dim very shortly and then I need to press something to get it bright again. Is there a way I can control when it goes dim?
