    Screen Turns Off Temporarily When My Finger Passes over Camera [OP5T]

    This seems to be a new issue...I have never noticed it before, but now its happening every time I am holding my phone in my hand, especially if I try to pull down the settings menu, or if I am using the phone in landscape mode.

    I thought this might be pocket mode, but I just disabled pocket mode, and its still happening.

    Anyone else experiencing this? Anyone know which setting turns this behavior off?

    Why do you guys act like OP have the ability to develop different designs than Oppo? Isn't Oppo is the parent company

    I mean Oppo R15 has announced a few weeks ago with a notch, so it was obvious that OP6 would get notch too? One Plus is their sub-company afaik. They can't create totally different phones, they just develop OxygenOS, minor design changes like color and logo and service. That's it.

    So why you guys act like One Plus is an independent company who actually designs and manufactures these phones separately from Oppo?

    p.s.: I just got my Op5t and loving it. I decided to buy it after I saw Oppo R15 with a notch.

    Now we know that the OP6 will have a notch, OP should have an option in the settings to hide the notch just like Huawei's P20 Pro (image in desc)

    Sorry if it has already been asked since I'm new to this sub. I got my phone three days back. While charging I'm experiencing a little heating up even when the phone is not used. It's nothing like overheating or anything and I don't know whether this is a OnePlus thing. Do I have to worry about this?

    Let's face it. The reason almost all new phone now has it is related to Apple. It is not the extra space. I know they did not invent it but they are the one that makes it famous. I will skip this generation of phone for all the improved screen size from all the manufacturer. Let them prove me wrong on the next generation when Apple ditch the notch and they are still keeping the notch for the better experience of having more screen area.

    I know it's more OP-community-like to be critical (in a constructive or non-constructive way) about OnePlus, but... this time they deserve some credits. :)

    Yesterday I shipped my 5T back to the Poland service center to have the Widevine update installed. This morning at 9 it arrived there and less than six hours later it's on it's way back! No matter how easy installing this update is, it's impressive that OP manages to process devices this quick. Well done OnePlus!

    Think about this. If OnePlus decided to go to the direction of mechanical cameras as seen in the Apex phone or in the bottom like in the Mi Mix line, how will face unlock work quickly? Is it economically feasible for them to place the other sensors housed in the notch in other places?

    Why hate the notch?

    The only real reason I can see for hating the notch is that OP is jumping on the bandwagon by copying Apple. Yes it is a cheap and lazy option instead of innovating and coming up with a real solution, which obviously isn't that simple, otherwise all the other manufacturers would have done it.

    I really don't understand what is so awful about having a bit of extra screen in which notifications and the clock sit nicely. Would you prefer extra bezel?

    I get that a notch could ruin the experience when watching a movie or viewing photos, but this is easily fixed with software and as far as I'm aware OP is planning to implement this.

    So can someone tell me if there's anything I've missed?
