Need help stopping google photos from syncing....

    Posted: 31 Mar 2018 02:12 PM PDT

Ive got a problem here, i use the app because i like to downlaod photos from google photos and not the other way around. I turned off 'backup sync' and its still syncing and its really starting to piss me off. I would take a picture and it would still end up on the google photo app but it would have the 'unsynced' sighn on it. When i press UNSYNC I MEAN UNSYNC,i do not want my photos to still be uplaoded with a little 'unsync' decal telling me its unsynced WHEN IT STILL IS SYNCED. Ive lost my mind trying to get my photos from appearing from my phone to this damned app with fail. I have an iphone and yes i tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I dont understand what the hell is going on all i know is that i want my photos frommy phone not to show up on this app. Yes i tried googling but zero luck, all the tutorials say the same thing. 'Just press unsync' jssjkdjd I PRESSED UNSYNC Any suggestions? Im at a loss for words and ready to just delete this god forsaken app.

    Secondary HDD stopped working!

    Posted: 31 Mar 2018 10:07 AM PDT

So last night I had Steam freeze up on me, and I couldn't get it to close through any means, so I hard shut down the PC. When I started it back up, I kept getting stuck on the Windows boot screen. A few times it'd say "scanning and repairing D:", but when I eventually got through bootup, the drive was just gone. My SSD that the OS is on still works, but I can't use a good part of my programs now since their files are on the HDD. The drive is still being seen on bootup so it still works, but I have no idea how to get it to show back up. I'm running Windows 8.1, and the drive in question is a Toshiba DT01AC, as viewable from BIOS.

    Any thoughts?

    Dell T3500 keeps rebooting

    Posted: 31 Mar 2018 04:54 AM PDT

Hi, so i have a dell t3500 that's working fine until a week ago.

Apparently it keeps on restarting itself, after turning on the pc, I can still get to my desktop for like 2-3 minutes before it reboots again.

    What I've tried so far:

    1) Select diagnostic mode - still reboots during diagnostic progress

    2) Boot to different os like ubuntu - still reboots after a few minutes on ubuntu

Could this be PSU related? Or motherboard problems? I was still able to login to windows 10 & ubuntu briefly

Fresh Windows 7 install but no sound devices

    Posted: 31 Mar 2018 11:50 AM PDT

Hello, My pc broke down so I got a cheap one with similar specs into which I just popped my gpu and installed windows and the gpu driver. Thing is that this pc isnt recognising any sound devices. Here is a screen from device manager: Link. Also here is some info about my motherboard: Link And also what comes up in sound manager: Link, Here it says that there are no sound devices installed and I have ticked the options to show disabled devices and also unplugged devices. I was hoping that I could resolve this without reinstalling the entire os again. (I also tried to install some realtek drivers which some people said that worked for them but it doesnt show anywhere. I also tried to install the one from manufacturers page which unfortunately said that there is no compatible hardware)

I solved it by enabling onboard audio in bios... kek

    Windows return steam client bootstrapper

    Posted: 31 Mar 2018 01:18 AM PDT

I have some issue playing games, every 15seconds I have a Windows return. When I shut down Steam client Bootstrapped it seems to help but when I do some specific actions in-game the game shut down. Any idea of how to fix this?

Very bad lag in games (high ping, 20%+ packet loss) Yet internet speeds are normal + doesn't happen constantly

    Posted: 30 Mar 2018 08:19 PM PDT

I get sometimes upward of 40% packet loss (goes higher or lower sometimes, pretty randomly) and around 120+ ping in any online game I play (tested on CoD BO3, CSGO, League, Minecraft, Fortnite, and a shit ton others, so it's not anything like the game's servers), but it's not constant, like it comes and goes every few hours, it'll be fine for half an hour, then boom, the lag is back for an hour. This has been happening for about a week and a half now, maybe 2. I've contacted Cox support 3 times and every time they've said it looks fine, even though I know it's not. We've replaced the ethernet cable, the coax cable, and the modem/router and that hasn't done anything. It happens on all three of the computers I've tried it on, so I've pretty much ruled out my pc being the issue. Now, despite all of this it works fine for using the internet normally, and my DL speeds are perfectly fine. Also, I haven't noticed any type of pattern, like this doesn't JUST happen during the day or night, it happens completely randomly, at least from what I've noticed. I'm really at a loss here and any help would be appreciated. Sorry if this isn't really specific enough, if you need any other info just let me know.

Running Windows 10 Home 64 Bit OS Version: 1709 OS Build: 16.299.309

Pastebin of PC specs - probably unnecessary but may be good to have

Wireless Internet goes out for a few seconds on the dot every hour.

    Posted: 30 Mar 2018 03:45 PM PDT

So this is a problem that has persisted for probably well over a year now. I've tried so many different things to fix it, all software related.

-The time is different every day, I'm pretty sure its synced to when I turn on my PC.

-This hasn't always happened, I've had this PC for 3 years.

-Qualcomm Atheros ar938x Wireless Network Adapter

-This happens only on my computer, and on no other device.

-When it goes out, my wifi gets a little caution symbol.

-Sometimes, maybe like once a month or less, it will be fine for the day, and never go out.

Please help, it is the most annoying thing to get kicked out of multiplayer games. Thank you.
