Customizing notifications for email and text. Posted: 18 Feb 2018 09:26 AM PST Is there such an app that allows you to customize vibration pattern for an incoming email or text message? For example, 1 vibrate for email and 2 vibrates for text. Perhaps this feature is built into the phone i have (note 8)? [link] [comments]

Location tracking application for an old (2013) Android model - for a patient with medical condition Posted: 18 Feb 2018 11:04 AM PST Hi, The situation is such that I need to track a relative with dementia. GPS trackers won't do as they will end up in rubbish bin within an hour. He has Caterpillar Cat B25 with him all the time. No active internet connection as far as I know. I'm looking to set it up with a some kind of android tracking app as I need to know his location. Do you have any recommendations/experience with these? Thanks tenfold [link] [comments]

Looking for a music player app that doesn't stop song on clear queue Posted: 18 Feb 2018 08:33 AM PST So I am looking for a music player app that has a queue system where the current playing song doesn't stop if I clear queue. Also needs to have an option to sort songs by date added. Only app that i found that does this so far is Pulsar Music Player but that one has absolutely useless search system that refuses to show results if it finds too many results. Bonus points if it has folder view and tag editing. [link] [comments]

App to count speaking time for multiple person meetings? Posted: 18 Feb 2018 12:20 AM PST I'd need an app to pinpoint persons who "take all the air" in the meetings. Is there an app which would recognize each person's voice and count the total speech time of every person in a meeting. [link] [comments]
I just released my first game. Would love some feedback Posted: 17 Feb 2018 12:38 PM PST https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.goldthorp.dcf It's a puzzle game called Don't Connect Four. You add pieces to the board the same way you would in a Connect Four game, but you play as both colors, alternating with every move. The goal is to fill the board completely. But if you put four of the same color in a row, the whole board is wiped - apart from those four. The levels of the game are randomly generated right now (might change that later). The level you're on is the number of random moves made for you before you start playing. [link] [comments]
An app for mirroring for a tablet without a native screen mirroring ... Thing. Posted: 17 Feb 2018 10:39 PM PST I'm in little bit of a predicament. Someone I know bought a fire tablet without checking to see if it was capable of what she needed first. Boo. I'm trying to help make it work. She's a teacher, and would like to mirror the tablets screen to her classroom's projector. The tablet doesn't have any native screen mirroring ability. My first solution was to send it from tablet to computer then to the projector but that was a no go - she will need the computer across the room and insists that won't work for her. She's bought enough nonsense cables to plug the tablet into the projector directly, so I'm hoping to find an app that will just send the images from the tablet straight to the projector. Everything I'm coming across in my search is for Chromecast or a TV and honestly I feel more lost than when I started. Heh. I'm just known as the lady who makes Android's pretty. This really isn't the job for me. 😂 Anyway that ended up being a whole wall of text. Any pointers on the right direction would be so appreciated. Thanks! [link] [comments]
Icon changer apps not working since Oreo Posted: 17 Feb 2018 10:34 PM PST I make my own app icons, then use icon changing apps to switch them out. Here's the one I've used so far on my Oneplus5T: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jy.iconchanger.ad&hl=en Problem is, since Oreo, the custom icons never show up on the main screen after I create them in the app. The same is true for other icon changer apps I use. Is anyone else having this issue? [link] [comments]
Any minimal/material styled apps like Retro Music Player? Posted: 17 Feb 2018 11:29 PM PST I really like the look of stuff like Retro music player and Taskful, are there any other apps with a similar design? [link] [comments]

Looking for a video camera app with a save/delete confirmation after recording Posted: 17 Feb 2018 11:21 PM PST I'm looking for a video camera app to use to record my kids' sporting events. I record every play, and I only keep the ones where something interesting happened, so I usually have to go back and delete the majority of the videos I've saved. I'd love to be able to hit stop, and then immediately delete the file without having to go into the gallery to do it. Thanks [link] [comments]
Posted: 17 Feb 2018 07:32 PM PST Is there a way I can lock my phone by swiping my fingers a certain way? Something similar to the 3 finger slide for screenshot. I'm running android 7.0 if that matters. [link] [comments]

[DEV] Calling all Ride-share drivers! This app might help you out! Posted: 17 Feb 2018 09:11 PM PST I'm an aspiring app developer and I made this app called RideTrack. It's a mileage and salary/expenses tracker. I'm a part time Uber driver myself and so I use it daily but I wanted to see if I could get feedback on how to make it better. There's no ads or "pro" version BS as I didn't make it to make money, I simply want to gain more experience. I would be happy to add in any features that would be helpful for you guys. Here's the link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.diazapps.ridetrack&hl=en [link] [comments]
Turn Off unnecessary "heads" in the messenger app Posted: 17 Feb 2018 08:29 PM PST I hope I am in the right place for this question. I use Facebook's messenger app to chat with a lot of my friends. I live exclusively out of the chat heads, so most of the annoying updates haven't affected me up until this point. The my day "head" that shows up I'd pretty annoying since I dont use that feature but I've mostly ignored it. With the latest update there is now an additional "active user " head that I guess shows you who is currently online? The point is this is another feature I have no use for but cannot find anyway to get rid of. And it makes the chat heads harder to use as now i can only have 2 chats open at a time as opposed to the four I sued to be able to. So my question is doesnt anyone know of a way to turn off these two extra "heads" so I can reclaim my screen space? [link] [comments] |
